MISSION POSSIBLE 2 I was a young adult when I saw Mission Impossible 2. The action scene in the third act, leading toward the end of the flic had me on the edge of my seat as actors Tom Cruise and Dougray Scott chased after, shot at each other, fought, and jousted while racing a Triumph Speed Triple and a Triumph Daytona 955. Granted, the scene is pretty damn corny by all means but it was cool to see bikes on the big screen, in high caliber action sequences, regardless of how ridiculous and unrealistic the stunts were. 12 | SPORTBIKESINCMAG.COM | AUGUST 2021
Mission Impossible 2 hit the theaters in the year 2000. While it is a few years later before I bought my first motorcycle, that black Tom Cruise's, as Ethan Hunt, Speed Triple was one of the major sparks that fueled my inspiration to ride. To this day, if that movie is on, I'll stop what I'm doing to sit and watch it just for the big payoff of the bikes in the final action scene. Best, Allan @mrblackmoses
