Home For The Acade my
It began in 1979 in a small storefront and has since blossomed into a network of six community centers spanning the Conejo Valley. From synagogues to schools, the “Friendship Circle” to the nationally-recognized Conejo Jewish Academy; Chabad of the Conejo has been at the forefront of developing one of the most dynamic and flourishing Jewish communities in the western United States. With its warm and inviting approach, Chabad is a place where people from all walks of life – regardless of background, affiliation or level of observance – feel welcome and at home. With the pride of success came the challenges of growth. Overflow crowds and burgeoning enrollments coupled with tight space and limited facilities escalated the urgent need for more spacious and conducive quarters to serve as the central hub of Chabad activities in the region. For almost three decades, Chabad of the Conejo has dreamed of the day it would build a major campus—buzzing with the laughter of children, the pursuit of knowledge and the spirit of community. That day has arrived…
Join us for our inaugural year in our new home and enjoy this most magnificent state-of-the-art learning facility.

Presidential election campaigns raise issues that concern many citizens. Too often, the rhetoric of the political parties and the heat of the campaign overshadow and drown out any chance for real discussion and debate on the serious issues of our times. This course is NOT about politics. It’s NOT about whom to vote for or which political party to belong to. It is about an opportunity to take a step back from all the noise and explore the hot-button issues of our times from the Torah perspective. We will seek clarity from the Talmud’s deep insights and teachings about life, leadership, and government.

rabbi Yossi Bryski in times of great challenge and distress, mankind has a tendency to look toward the heavens for strength, for miracles, for answers – for a sign. What then to make of it when no such responses seem to be forthcoming? Does faith alone empower us to make it through the darkness, or is there something more that we must muster from within to truly see the light of Divine Providence and grace? Drawing on profound mystical, chassidic, talmudic and homiletic sources, as well as personal experiences with tragedy and grief, rabbi Yossi bryski provides moving, inspiring and, ultimately, motivating insights into Judaism’s fundamental concepts of faith, trust, mercy and compassion, demonstrating how these insights can provide the practical fuel with which to “keep on drivin’!” through the storm patches of life.
