Husband-and-wife duo Alex and Michael Toccin went from content creators who ran the popular Instagram account and blog Stylists to a T to the brains and talents of two fashion brands—TOCCIN and LDT—that are truly making waves right now. Get to know the couple, who reside between NYC and the Hamptons, as they make this summer their most exciting—and stylish—yet! BY SYDNEY SADICK

What pieces is TOCCIN most known for?

Our knitwear is a fan favorite, in particular our knit sets, which are a great way to look put together but be comfortable at the same time.

How do you use social media to amplify your brands?

We use our personal Instagram channel @alexandmichaeltoccin, and our brands’ channels @toccin.official and @ldt. official to share tips and tricks on how to style all of the pieces. This helps to amplify each

How did you both go from content creators to fashion designers?

We started our digital platform, Stylists to a T, to help women talk about fashion in an approachable way. This led us to create our first women’s apparel brand, TOCCIN, which was inspired by the wants and needs of the real women who were looking for clothing that was still fashion-forward.

What’s the concept behind both brands?

TOCCIN is a brand that offers clothing that is classic, timeless, and comfortable with a designer aesthetic at an approachable price. LDT is a ready-to-wear brand we launched in 2020 exclusively with Dillard’s. It mixes colorful prints with comfort and ease, reflecting sophistication in a fun and affordable fashion.

You originally met in college. What’s it like working together?

It’s been amazing, and we truly bring out the best in each other!

And now you’re both Hamptons homeowners!

We are! We’ve been coming to the Hamptons for more than 10 years and wanted to have a place to spend summers and weekends with our family.

How did you land on the decor of the home?

We loved decorating our house with Hilary Matt Interiors. From the minute we walked into it, we wanted to make sure that the aesthetic of the decor was soothing, which is why we selected a neutral color palette. We always feel that a neutral vibe in your house allows you to play with colorful art and accessories.

What are your favorite summer Hamptons activities?

We love being outdoors! Family walks in the mornings, having picnics at the beach, taking our kids to Wölffer Vineyard for music, and heading to Duryea’s for a yummy summer feast.

Advice for women who want to develop a comfortable yet chic summer wardrobe?

We’re all about having key staple pieces in your wardrobe. This includes a versatile colorful dress that you can wear from the beach to dressing up at night, such as the LDT Claire Dress; elevating your at-home outfits for entertaining with our TOCCIN knit sets; and invest in a couple of statement dress.

Do you transport clothes between the city and Out East?

We like to try and keep a Hamptons wardrobe and a city wardrobe, but you know, every once in a while you do have to bring things back and forth.

What are you working on now?

We are continuously working on new collections and categories for both TOCCIN and LDT! T
