WAITLIST INFORMATION
Customers have 24 hours to accept or decline a space. After 24 hours, the system automatically declines for you and the space is offered to the next person.
This will help maximize the amount of participants we can get off waitlists and into popular programs!
WAITLIST NOTIFICATIONS

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT REGISTRATION DAY
PROGRAMS ARE VISIBLE ONLINE ONE WEEK BEFORE REGISTRATION DAY
Use this time to practice navigating, see all that is on offer and make sure everything in your account is working well for you before Day 1. What you see on your desktop is slightly different on your cell phone – practice navigating on the one you’ll be using. Customer Service experiences a notable increase in phone call volume on Registration Day and return phone messages in the order received.
REGISTRATION ALWAYS BEGINS AT 8 A.M.
Your system may need to be refreshed at 8 a.m. if you logged in too early.
DATE FIELD
Courses appear in order of start date. Because our current season’s programs will still be happening, they appear first. Either scroll down to find the upcoming season’s courses OR use the “Date Range” field and put the Registration Day 1 date in the first date field. Leave the second date field as the default setting. Each season’s Registration Day 1 can have start dates happening 2 or 3 months later. If you’re looking up an activity like Preschool Swim Lessons that have more than 50 offerings in a season, you can put in the Lesson Set start date to skip right to Set 2 or Set 3.

Due to high user-volume on registration days, some customers may experience technical difficulties. If you receive a payment error message when attempting to register, please:
Wait 20 to 30 seconds - Reselect Place my Order
If you receive the same error message, please repeat the steps above. Do not wait longer than the suggested time to avoid session timeout.

The District of Squamish is upgrading Brennan Park Recreation Centre. Completion of the project is expected to take place in phases, over several years, as funding becomes available. The big vision is for a future Centre that will include a second ice rink and second pool, as well as new programming and administration space, accessibility upgrades, and energy retrofits.
Brennan Park projects are likely to be funded by federal and provincial grants, as they become available and as the District is able to match the funds for the municipal-match portion.
Construction will begin late spring/early summer with the first project - the Green and Accessibility Retrofit Project - funded by the $11.7M from the Green and Inclusive Community Buildings program (Infrastructure Canada). Read on for more details. The District has adopted the Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) system to manage overall construction.
WHAT’S HAPPENING NOW?
Pre-development planning is underway to determine feasibility and timing of future replacements at Brennan Park.
Work is progressing well to prepare for the start of construction for the first $21M project ($11.7M federal grant), expected to begin late spring/summer 2024.
Brennan Park Recreation Centre will continue to operate during the renovations however there will be some impact on programs and community use. The community will be notified of operational impacts during construction via signage, District newsletters, and social media.
Timeline Construction start date Q2 2024
Budget $21M
PROJECT DETAILS
The Green and Accessibility Retrofit Project is the first of many projects slated for Brennan Park Recreation Centre. It forms the first stage of a long-term plan that is in line with the Real Estate and Facilities Master Plan (REFMP) and is only a small portion of work required for the Centre.
This project is funded in part by $11.7M from the Green and Inclusive Community Buildings program (Infrastructure Canada). We are very grateful for this program’s support.
The scope of work must follow grant requirements, which have strict guidelines of what can be built under this grant platform. The District has worked within this guideline, plus the REFMP, to determine the scope of work. Projects such as a new pool or ice rink do not fall within this grant guideline, however, the District continues to plan these longer-term projects (in line with the REMFP).
