Did you know you could make a picture by pouring paint? In this class, you will mix three strengths of several colors. Using a good drawing and mask/drawing gum, you will block certain parts of the picture and pour on the paint, letting it mix on its own. After this dries, you will add more mask and repeat the process. Since there is significant drying time between applications, the down time will be spent creating some small pieces using negative painting. These two skills go together and the small pieces will increase your knowledge of how to layer color on your pouring piece. You will work on cold press paper and use saturated artist grade paints on subjects featuring nature, found objects, and things from the forest. A supply list will be sent prior to the first day of class. #5915 $48
