Guess what! The Rice Media Center will be open one day a week this summer so you can keep checking out books ALL summer long! Students will have full use of the Media Center and computers, and can check out two books per week. (Current lost/damaged fees will apply.) Come anytime from 9-11am, but donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t miss story time with Dar Ripka each week at 10am. Students ages 4 - 8 must be accompanied by an adult. All you need is a beat! Grab your friends and move like no one is watching! Zumba Kids is the dance-fitness party where the music is loud and you rock with friends to your own rules. This class features age-appropriate music and moves that get kids movinâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; to the beat. Each class will consist of activities, crafts and games all centered around a theme! iPads will also be provided for your child to explore.

Destination MARS: Rocketry Course Grades 3-5* Youth Enrichment League

Launch and watch your very own rocket that speeds 300 feet into the air! Then it is yours to take home! Each day you will make and take home multiple rockets of varying difficulty throughout this session. You’ll use these rockets and airplanes to investigate basic aeronautical concepts including: propulsion, thrust, lift, drag and more. Then you’ll hypothesize about travel in outer space, how to get a United States astronaut to Mars and life on Mars. Do you have THE RIGHT STUFF? Please bring two - 2 liter soda bottles (empty) for two different experiments. All other materials included in the fee.

A peanut free snack will be provided for this class.

Family & Parents Parent Connections : Preventing Power Struggles Casi Olson, Clinical Psychologist

We’ll provide the pizza and childcare so YOU can connect with other parents about the joys and challenges of parenting that we all experience. Casi Olson will guide discussion as you learn from her and other parents about preventing power struggles. Get tips and explore ways families can spend quality time together. Casi has shared her expertise with many parents. Grandparents and professionals are also welcome. Pizza will be served from 6:00-6:30pm and childcare is available for ages 3-12 during the parenting presentation from 6:30-7:45pm. COST: $5 per family, per date. (Scholarships available). Register in advance for childcare and to ensure we have pizza for your family.

Strengthen your coordination skills and improve balance and control using traditional Pilates movement patterns. The result is a leaner, longer and stronger body. Chalk the Walk! Family Event Grab your sidewalk chalk and let your imagination soar. Kickoff summer in style and draw, color and create with chalk on the sidewalks and parking lot at Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School. Bring the whole family for this fun, creative event. We’ll provide the lemonade! Please bring your own sidewalk chalk. No registration necessary. Come anytime between 10am and 1pm. Space is on a first come, first served basis.
