La Primera iglesia Mission Pastor

I want to begin with another word of gratitude. Thank you First Baptist Family for trusting us to lead you in a direction that will reap fruitful harvest for years to come. Thank you for engaging in the ministries of HOPE and taking an active role in ministering to the needs of this church and the community. The days ahead are bright as we continue to imitate the love of Christ through the ministries of HOPE. This summer, I realize the fact that families will be heading out on vacation and hopefully getting a much needed break from the “rat race”, and I pray that the word recreation (re-creation) becomes a reality. I am hoping there will be a renewal and a refreshing of our spirits. I also want to encourage you to realize that you can offer HOPE even when you are on the road. Take HOPE with you as you go. I am praying for the love of Jesus (Our HOPE) to be illustrated throughout the summer whether you are at home or away for a vacation. What a great testimony it will be for you to return and share what the Spirit of God allowed you to be a part of as you travel. I look forward to hearing how God led you to divine appointments and ministry opportunities. Pray daily for the Lord to open your eyes to the needs of people around you. There will be people who are lonely, hurting and broken everywhere you go. So as you go, offer HOPE. I also want to encourage you to be faithful in your attendance when you are in town. The Spirit of the Lord is moving in our midst, and you will want to be here to witness what God is doing. Remember, HOPE @ HOME Starts @ Home. Along with offering HOPE @ HOME, I encourage you to offer HOPE to your neighbors and friends. Invite them to be a part of what the Lord is doing at FBCSS. Invite them to VBS and to worship and Bible study. Make it easy for them to attend, even if they need to ride to church with you. Be intentional. Do not let your fear of failure keep you from expressing your faith in our Father. Please pray for the Lord’s direction in the life of your family and in the life of the church. Sometimes we lose sight of the power that we possess in the arena of prayer. Prayer is His way of communicating with His people. Pray for your family, pray for the leaders in the church, pray for the Spirit to move in our lives and transform us into the image of Jesus. Ask the Lord to use you to accomplish more than you have ever imagined in the work of His Kingdom. One final note, the summer is one of the most active times in terms of ministry and ministry expenses. It goes without saying that our HOPE in Jesus is free but the need to spread HOPE requires the faithful tithes and offerings of God’s people. Without any reservation I encourage God’s people to be faithful in giving. HOPE gives selflessly, and we will never regret selfless living and Spirit led giving.
