• What To Do When You Don’t Know What To Do

• Counter Culture

Sometimes the big and small decisions in life seem overwhelming. How do you know what choices to make about your career, kids, and relationships? Even when you make good decisions, how do you avoid temptation along the way? In What to Do When You Don’t Know What to Do, renowned bible teacher Dr. David Jeremiah walks you through the book of James to glean God’s wisdom on issues such as finances, faith, and decision making. What does it look like to consider God in all of your plans, depend on God rather than wealth, and put prayer above your personal efforts? It looks, as James discovered, like living a life of great joy.

Led by Fred Lewis

Sundays 5:30 pm Room 105 6 sessions - Cost: $10.00

David Platt believes that the truths of the gospel should compel us to a contrite, compassionate, and courageous personal response to social issues in the culture. Using biblical foundations, practical illustrations, and personal exhortations, this study is a pointed yet winsome call for readers to faithfully follow Christ in countercultural ways. There will be a cost. There will be a reward. Do Christians in the contemporary church have the courage to counter the culture?

Led by Heath Anderson

Sundays 5:30 pm Room 108 6 Sessions - Cost:$10.00

• Audacity

• Jesus, Contiued

As Christians, we may find homosexuality one of the most challenging issues of our day. Though we know it goes against God’s will, many of us are intimidated into silence for fear we’ll be called “homophobic,” “hateful,” or worse. Or, we may have friends or loved ones caught in this sin and we don’t want to offend them by saying their lifestyle is wrong. Yet if we care about people, we must not remain silent. We have been commanded to go into all the world and share the glorious gospel, with all kinds of people who need to hear it. So we must equip ourselves to address this sensitive issue with compassion and grace. Not just homosexuals, but adulterers, fornicators, liars, and thieves need to hear about the forgiveness that Christ offers to all who repent and trust in Him for salvation.

Why do so many of us think of Christianity as a lifestyle to which we conform, rather than a God with whom we commune? Jesus gave His disciples the audacious promise that it was to their advantage that He go back to heaven because the Holy Spirit could then come to live inside of them. How many of us consider our connection to the Holy Spirit so strong and so real that we would call his presence in us better than Jesus beside us? This Bible study has been created to help you relate to the Holy Spirit in new ways. Over the course of this study, you’ll see how you can have a satisfying, powerful relationship with God through the Holy Spirit.

This five-session study will help you to know how to witness biblically to anyone.

What if the path toward an extraordinary life is becoming more ordinary?

Ordinary is not a call to be more radical. If anything, it is a call to the contrary. The kingdom of God isn’t coming with light shows, and shock and awe, but with lowly acts of service. Tony Merida wants to push back against sensationalism and “rock star Christianity,” and help people understand that they can make a powerful impact by practicing ordinary Christianity. Through things such as humble acts of service, neighbor love, and hospitality, Christians can shake the foundations of the culture. In order to see things happen that have never happened before, Christians must to do what Christians have always done. Christians need to become more ordinary. Let’s think together about how we, ordinary people, doing ordinary things, might turn the world upside

Led by Bryan & Natalie white

Wednesdays 6:00 pm Room 106 6 sessions - $10.00

• Praying With Paul

• Grief Share

It’s doubtful that there is any Christian who has not sometimes found it difficult to pray. In itself this is neither surprising nor depressing: it is not surprising, because we are still pilgrims with many lessons to learn; it is not depressing, because struggling with such matters is part of the way we learn. God doesn’t demand hectic church programs and frenetic schedules; he only wants his people to know him more intimately, says author D.A. Carson. The apostle Paul found the kind of spiritual closeness in his own fellowship with the Father that is available to all of us.

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you are feeling. That’s the reason for Grief Share. It’s a special class and support group for people grieving a loss of someone close.

This study shows the priorities of prayer, a God-centered framework for prayer, and practices for a more meaningful and dynamic prayer life.
