UNIVERSITY NEWS At the end of term 1, Year 12 students were given information about the process of applying for university. UAC guides were distributed and the “How to Apply” video was shown. Below is a link to the video as well as links to other information you may find useful. Students have until the end of September to apply with ‘early bird’ rates. Any students who were absent from this session should see me to receive the UAC guide and other information. There are many events at universities and private colleges in the coming weeks and months which should be of interest to the senior students, including information evenings about courses and scholarships. Year 11 and 12 students will be attending the “HSC and Careers Expo” at the end of May. Guest speakers have also been booked for lunchtime talks (see below). They do this by using criteria other than (or in addition to) the ATAR. You must apply through UAC for undergraduate admission in 2019– 20 to be eligible for SRS.

Download the brochure. UAC – Equity Scholarships Equity Scholarships (ES) help financially disadvantaged students with the costs associated with tertiary study. Details of requirements for individual scholarships can be found on the institution websites.
GUEST SPEAKERS FROM TERTIARY PROVIDERS On Tuesday 9th April, representatives from Sydney University spoke to Year 12 students at one of the scheduled lunchtime sessions. The students were informed about the different courses available to study, as well as all the extra- curricular opportunities at the university. The presentation included information about overseas exchanges, internships, scholarships, societies and clubs, as well as flexible degrees through the Bachelor of Advanced studies.

Pathways Hold a Bachelor degree in arts or design with a major in Architecture, Masters Degree or other qualification in the discipline of architecture accredited by the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia.
