SYDNEY UNIVERSITY ENGINEERING AND IT INFORMATION EVENING Sydney University are holding their Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies’ Year 11 and 12 Information Evening on Tuesday 29 May. Find out everything you need to know about studying engineering, advanced computing, technology or project management at Sydney University. The Deans, Heads of School, current students and an industry representative will be on-hand to answer your questions about the choice and flexibility of their degrees, and why Sydney University is one of the top three universities in Australia for Engineering and technology, and number one in Australia for graduate employability. You will also find out important information about scholarship opportunities and get some tips on how to prepare a standout scholarship application from the Deputy Dean (Education). Cadetship opportunities for Year 12 students - NSW Stand out from other university students by undertaking paid work at a leading company while you study at university. The Business Cadetships Program places cadets at UBS, a topranking global bank. Applications close on Wednesday 16 May 2018. Applications for the Engineering & Technology Cadetships Program open on Monday 30 April. Engineering Cadets are placed with Cubic Transportation Systems and Technology Cadets are placed at Macquarie Group. These cadetships often go undersubscribed because of a lack of applicants. Senior students may need to sit this exam if they would like to apply for medicine in 2019. Seventeen universities accept school leavers directly into their medical programs. Please visit http://www.MedEntry.edu.au SIMULATED UMAT DAY 2018 UNSW, Kensington Campus. 20 May 2018, 9am - 6.00pm Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 interested in medicine or dentistry will need to sit the compulsory UMAT (examination) when applying for one of the above career choices. On the 20th of May 2018, NIE will be conducting a full day UMAT preparation workshop. While the Simulated UMAT Day is extremely beneficial for year 12 students, who will be attempting the real UMAT on the 25th of July 2018, this workshop is also highly recommended to anyone in Years 10 - 11 and aiming for a head start in UMAT preparation.
