APPLYING FOR UNIVERSITY AND TERTIARY COLLEGES The process for applying for entry to universities and other tertiary institutions will be explained to the Year 12 students after they finish their HSC trial examinations next week. The UAC guides, containing information about all the courses on offer, will also be distributed. The students will be encouraged to apply after this, and to ensure they apply before 28th September to avoid late fees. Students who have experienced any disadvantage during Years 11 and/or 12 and who wish to apply for the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) can see me for information about the application process and will also need to see Mrs Katsogiannis. Students who wish to apply for the Student Recommendation Scheme (SRS) for entry into participating universities will also be provided with information on how to apply. Year 12 and Year 11 students are encouraged to attend the Open Days which are being held over the next few weekends (see the details below). Students can register to attend through the university websites. Study Overseas Info Evening Wednesday 29th August | 5.00 – 7.30pm | Ascham School | Packer Foyer and Theatre The intention of this evening is to provide Year 10, 11 and 12 students and parents with an opportunity to speak with international tertiary institutions from the USA, Canada, the UK, Japan and Abu Dhabi about undergraduate tertiary study. EducationUSA will deliver a presentation about the USA undergraduate application process in the Packer Theatre from 7 7.30pm. This event is free - registration is now open at www.trybooking.com/406832 This event will be held in the Packer Foyer at Ascham School, 188 New South Head Road, Edgecliff. There is NO onsite parking. Ascham has easy access directly across the road from Edgecliff Station and there is plenty of parking available in the Edgecliff Shopping Centre. The Hotel School to host Discovery Day on 30th August On 30th August, The Hotel School will host Discovery Day. Students will have a chance to meet our current students and engage in a networking lunch with our alumni. Discovery Day will be held on our CBD campus, located on 60 Phillip Street, Sydney. He's never looked back and now runs a successful design firm in Sydney and is teaching web design at TAFE.
