Sing It Out!

Chorus

The Upper School chorus blossomed forth with rnultltudi.rbirs quantities of singers, and magnificently -.ttinuotr. tonal presence this year. It performed a wide and varied repertory ianging from Renaissance choral motets to oiro Lunei such-as "Blue Bavou." Bedecked in the red. white l"i Utu" robes, the chorus was a frequent addition to chapel .".ri.". and special assemblies such as Ring Day and St. Martin's Day.

Culminating events included the Winter Concert which .,o".,ud wittr i candlelieht processional and Fine Arts Week i.ihich featured a numb6r of performances by both chorus and soloists. At Christmas time ihe chorus travelled forth to Uptown Square to sing carols and then visited the Poydras Home to spread cheer to the elderlY.

In the midst of all this aitivity the chorus also managed to learn scales, note reading and sight singing skills as well as the finer points of the game croquet.
