Boy's Varsity Baseball
1983 proved to be a rebuilding year for the varsity baseball team. "Losing almost all of the powerful 1982 team via graduation, the team battled inexperience and costly injuries all season long and despite a very slow start, finished on a high note by winning its last six games to finish with an 8-17 record.
Senior captain Jeff Armstrcng led the team in virtually every department and for his efforts was named All-District, All-East Bank, and Most Valuable Player. Juniors Danny Hughes and Drew Calhoun were named Honorable Mention AII-District. Seniors John Burlingame and Armstrong were also selected AII Tournament in the Saint Martin's Invitational Tourney. Seniors Harry Brammel and Don Aleman shared the Most Improved Player award.
