Boys Varsity Baseball A Touch of Class
The 1982-83 season was both disappointing and rewarding. The team finished with a 1215 record on a schedule that included several tough Quad A teams. The team posted a 9-7 record in district playthe first winning record in district for many years. The team was led by co-captains Brett Chaisson and Jim Hamlin both of whom received all District and All East Bank honors.
The season ended in disappointment as the Saints missed the playoffs by half a game, but had defeated both the district champs and runner up Newman and Redeemer.
So though it was a disappointing experience not to make the playoffs the 82-83 season can be counted as a success and a building block for the future.
