PETER SUTTON PRESENTS

FRI 22 APR 7.30PM

Mark is a poet, performer and teacher based in Peterborough who writes poems and performs live shows that tour globally. He has been described as “an Internet sensation” by The Sun and “an un-likely heart throb” by The Guardian.

A truly memorable evening with the academic and actor Peter Sutton in his new one-man show. Peter presents his new translation of one of the Middle Ages’ most famous poems and greatest works of English literature, William Langland’s Piers Plowman-a humorous commentary on corruption and greed.

Hollie is a London-based spoken-word artist who has been making huge waves with her fresh take on the genre. She straddles the boundaries between literary, poetic and pop scenes and has won numerous slam poetry championships.

Reading selected passages and interspersed with period music, Peter plays over 50 parts himself. The evening is complete with an introduction into Langland’s life, literary style and historical background and an opportunity for questions and discussion.
