BRANDY HERNANDEZ THE MISTRESS - 2011 MUSTANG GT

I CAN’T GO ANYWHERE WITHOUT MY DAUGHTER JUMPING IN.

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

This is my 2011 Mustang GT Coyote nicknamed The Mistress. She was purchased 2.5 years ago as a stock GT. I’ve always had a passion for Mustangs as this is my fifth one. I’ve built The Mistress myself in my garage along with the help of a few family members from time to time. There isn’t a corner on this car that hasn’t been touched. She has a lot of carbon fiber from the exterior to the interior and a lot of stainless in the engine bay. She used to be a daily but now due to work she is a weekend car. When I take her for a ride I can’t go anywhere without my daughter jumping in. As soon as she hears The Mistress start she’s in the passenger seat. Hoping my love for Mustangs continues to grow on her and she continues the builds as she gets older and possibly even the next owner of The Mistress. She currently has 66,600 miles and is a great car.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

Mods include a Ford Racing tubular bumper with tow hook and all carbon fiber fenders, hood, trunk lid, rear deck cover, spoiler, side skirts and rear fins, side scoops, front splitter, license plate shroud, rear visor, and front grille. It has a custom painted lace roof, GT500 HID headlight conversion, 20” ARC wheels F/9.5 R/10.5, Rear LED tail lights with LED side markers, Ford Racing Tokico shocks, Eibach front and rear sway bars, drilled and slotted rotors, Brembo brakes, Steeda front and rear strut bars, Steeda control arms, 5.0 Coyote motor, all stainless dress up, ARH long tube headers, Dual JLT oil catch cans, stainless coolant tank, GT500 full 3” exhaust with muffler delete, 3.73 gears, 90mm Ford Racing throttle body, Boss 302 intake, Boss 302 oil cooler, MGW short through shifter, McLeod stage 1 clutch, one piece drive shaft, Blowfish Racing trans mount with integrated drive shaft loop, large capacity aluminum finned rear diff cover, JLT carbon fiber intake, tuned by Lund Racing, and Dual Zex Nitrous kit (100 shot).

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

Interior mods include aftermarket seats, carbon fiber steering wheel, carbon fiber accs. throughout, illuminated door sills, fiberglass rear seat delete, Diamond plate floor mats, Rockford Fosgate Interior speakers, JL Audio 10” subwoofer in custom box, 2 Pioneer amps, harness bar with CROW racing harnesses, and custom door inserts.

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in 2022!
