SUNNY RIDGE TWO VALVE - 2002 MUSTANG GT

CAR NAME–YEAR & MODEL INFO

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

THERE’S NOTHING LIKE GOING THROUGH THE GEARS WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN IN A LOUD MUSTANG!

This car sat for quite a while, forgotten by the previous owner due to brake system issues. Luckily he had it covered under a carport protected from the elements.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

A friend told me about the car and that the odometer read only 71,000 miles. It was in rough condition from sitting, but after wiping away a few areas, it was clear that all it needed was a good cleaning.

We replaced the brakes with a set of Cobra brakes from the same generation and added a set of slotted rotors. After a good tune up, we basically just updated the stock look with lowering springs and a set of wheels and tires. The car had a few areas repainted but the rest of the cars original paint came back with a few passes of a clay bar and wax.

This car isn’t the fastest but there’s nothing like going through the gears with the windows down in a loud Mustang!

It is equipped with a Borla Atak catback, SR Performance lowering springs, Cobra brakes and slotted rotors, Mach 1 chin splitter, billet under drive pulleys, and staggered SVE NVX wheels on Yokohama Advan S.

Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in 2022!
