TriStar Minnesota is synonymous for fun and quality. Another pillar of TriStar is social responsibility, therefore the event supports the Livestrong Foundation. Please, show you care, make a donation onsite to the LIVESTRONG™ and wear the Livestrong wristband as your visible sign of your support for those who suffer from cancer. Thanks!

Environmental Protection

As an athlete, you have to take care of your body every day. As a triathlete you enjoy swimming in clear waters, pedaling through natural landscapes and breathing fresh air while running. That’s why Star Events are committed to environmental protection in collaboration with the 4vita.org association. Take care about nature as much as you care about your body. You want to enjoy life!

CHRIS McCORMACK, WORLD CHAMPION, RACES TRISTAR MINNESOTA

Chris McCormack MACCA

Macca, one of the most prominent triathletes, followed and admired accross the globe, will be at the starting line at TriStar Minnesota. The Australian triathlete is multiple world champion at various distances and possessor of the biggest triathlon titles: Macca is ITU World Champion and two times Ironman world champion. He was not only chosen sports personality of the year in Australia when he became Olympic triathlon champion, he also was named best international triathlete in 1997, 1998, 2001, 2006, and 2007. According to Triathlete Magazine, Macca is the “Triathlete of the Decade”.

TriStar are pushing the endurance barriers and setting new unique challenges that are interesting and tough. I have been committed to TriStar because they continue to present spectacular events that are designed with the athlete in mind. Macca about TriStar

TriStar, the revolutionary Triathlon World Series TriStar is an international triathlon event series held over various new distances. It was launched in September 2009 with TriStar200 Andalucía in Spain and has rapidly grown ever since. While there were four races in 2010, their number increased to ten in 2011 and the future will see its further rise. A simple motto “Yes, you can!” sums up the idea of sport events that are easily accessible for everyone with the desire to participate. Several innovative formats recognized by the ITU offer a perfect complementary solution between Olympic and long-distance triathlons. Main aspects of TriStar Races Fun, environmental protection and social responsibility are the three main aspects of all TriStar

races. TriStar takes the world‘s most popular sports disciples – swimming, cycling and running – to serve them in the most fun and enjoyable way. New formats attracting amateurs widen the scope of people interested in participation, which makes us witness rookies standing side by side with top triathletes. Beginners are pleased by the possibility to join relay teams where they can focus on one of the three disciplines; professionals can use TriStar as a preparation for long-distance races. Shorter swim and run distances enable shortened recovery times, giving athletes the possibility to participate in more races than before. More TriStar, more fun! TriStar already unveiled a handful of fresh, fun-oriented new features and there is much

more to come. Legalizing drafting on some of the races makes them more thrilling than ever. Giving the possibility to race in teams of five brings the team spirit back to a sport that was for a long time perceived as individual. TriStar comes to break down the old-fashioned triathlon mindset and make everyone enjoy their race in a new, exciting way. And TriStar is seeing to expand in the U.S. to offer you more TriStar-feeling across the country very soon. www.star-events.cc
