Professional Experience A member of TozziniFreire’s Executive and Management Committees, Shin focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, and regulatory compliance matters. Well respected for her leading practice, Shin has over 20 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and other transactional work, and advises investors from various countries in their inbound and outbound investments. She also counsels clients on their relationships with government bodies and corporate investigations. Shin is the head of the Asia Practice Group, directly coordinating the Korea and China groups; she is also co-head of TozziniFreire’s Compliance & Investigation group.

Recognition She is consistently recommended as a leading lawyer in international legal publications such as Chambers Global, Chambers Latin America, Legal 500, Latin Lawyer 250 and PLC Which Lawyer?. In 2007, Shin was awarded the International Compliance Professional award from the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics. She is also recommended by Latin Lawyer Masters of M&A.

Professional Experience Mark serves as foreign counsel at TozziniFreire, and has more than 16 years of experience representing foreign clients from all over the world, including major multinational and private equity companies on a variety of transactional and corporate matters relating to inbound and outbound mergers and acquisitions, asset sales, joint ventures, and venture capital investments. He has been involved in many transactions relating to energy, telecommunications, internet/gaming, real estate and construction, mining and metals, oil & gas, shipping, the automotive industry, pharmaceuticals and other sectors. Mark worked for major international law firms such as White & Case and Latham & Watkins in New York, and Kim & Chang in Korea. He also served as part of the executive management and as general counsel to a private equity firm based in Hong Kong and Singapore, where he was both involved in the management and was in charge of all legal matters of its portfolio companies, most of which were located in Latin America, Asia and Europe.
