British Bird Food The Brief

Considerations

Brand and Package a product range for Bird food. This product/brand will communicate the potential of providing for British wildlife. The package design should persuade and connect with the audience to buy the product whilst intern helping the British wildlife thrive.

The company believe in been good to the environment and feel it is important to communicate this through their packaging and branding.

The location will be sold within supermarkets and pet shops such as pets at home. The product will need to stand out within the array of competition. Concept/Proposition Everybody loves to see British wildlife thriving and growing within their environment. Your aim is to make this product range stand off the shelves and communicate the positive effects of bring these beautiful birds to your garden. Make the brand and packaging more interesting and engaging for the audience whilst creating a personal connection through design and art direction. Background Modern birds are characterised by feathers, a beak with no teeth, the laying of hard-shelled eggs, a high metabolic rate, a four-chambered heart, and a lightweight but strong skeleton. Extant birds have wings; the most recent species without wings was the moa, which is generally considered to have become extinct in the 16th century.

Wings are evolved forelimbs, and most bird species can fly. Flightless birds include ratites, penguins, and diverse endemic island species.

Target Audience

Mandatory Requirements

The targets audience will be 30+ with an interest in gardening or people with young children who aim to bring new birds to their garden to educate their children.

Your must produce 5 design boards showing your final outcomes. These will include: -

Mock-ups to a high quality Logo and brand identity. Ingredient list for each product is required. 250 word rational. Evaluation of work in relation to the brief. Correct Labelling of your work, on your blog is essential. In addition to the submission requirements, you will need to evidence the research, development and product of your final resolutions.

Tone of Voice

Deliverables

The tone of voice should be welcoming, fun and engaging with a element of personality, whilst not talking down to the audience and be informative and factual.

Resolutions and products, apporiate to your select brief. 5 presentation boards (Printed) summerising the key practical, conceptual and technical decisions. This should also be posted on your blog via Issuu. Posts to your Design Practice & Design Context blog demonstrating your ability to effectivly record, document and critically evaluate the progress of your work in relation to your own intentions and apporiate areas of contemporary creative practice.
