Three Ministry Initiatives to Support our New Mission and Vision Statements RENEWING RELATIONSHIPS – One ministry initiative is supporting opportunities for renewed relationships within and beyond the walls of St. John’s. We will expand the Ministry Coordinator staff position to a full-time role to support new ministry programming, engage in creative worship services that nurture congregational diversity, and develop a comprehensive plan for facility maintenance of a 110 year historic building. RE-IMAGINING FAITH FORMATION – A second ministry initiative is re-imagining faith formation programming for all ages. We will call a Director of Faith Formation to support life-long learning and intergenerational ministry with a focus on children and youth, renew our engagement of young couples and growing families, and support ongoing ministries such as Senior Adult Ministries (SAMs), Katie’s Sisters, TheoPub, and Tyson House campus ministry as opportunities for faith-filled relationships. EXPANDING COMMUNITY OUTREACH – A third ministry initiative is expanding community outreach ministries to invite neighbors, both housed and unhoused, into experiences of grace. We will explore opportunities for social engagement with families and businesses in surrounding neighborhoods and lift up our endowment fund to support new ministry initiatives. More information coming via mail, social media, and worship engagement!
