Over the last couple of weeks, we have heard stories about faith, and today’s gospel is no different. We see interactions between Jesus and followers with great faith. In fact, their faith is great enough that it immediately gets Jesus’ attention. Jairus, the synagogue official, was able to quickly convince Jesus to travel to heal his ailing daughter, and then to raise her from the dead; not by who he was…but by the faith Jesus recognized in him. The woman in the crowd had the same faith. And while Jesus didn’t see her directly at first, he recognized her by her touch. Her faith allowed her to be healed. This is the strong faith Jesus speaks of. But how are we to find it? More often than not, it seems out of reach. Fortunately, Jesus knows each of us better than we know ourselves and will help us along our journey to the type of faith he speaks of. We need only to be open and willing to allow him into our hearts. June 28, 2015

Farewell Fr. Vincent Romuald! This weekend is his last with us and we invite you to bid him farewell. You are invited to a reception in his honor following the 1:30pm Sunday Mass June 28 – Wozniak Hall.
