Living Our Faith
Today we celebrate the wonderful gift of the Holy Spirit. Jesus sent us the Spirit to guide us, show us the way and to strengthen us. But how often, besides today, do we think about him? As the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit is always with us. He works in us and through us to guide us and those around us. The Holy Spirit is our Advocate. He is always actively seeking ways to help each of us grow closer to God and gain eternal life—no matter who we are or where we are. God gives us everything we need to be with him, including the Holy Spirit to help us in our everyday lives, including the joyous times and even the most difficult of situations. Holy Spirit, come into my heart each day. Guide me, nurture me, and help me grow closer to God. May 24, 2015

Sunday, May 24th, the newest Pastoral Council members will be called forth from our community by the Holy Spirit. Registered parishioners who are 21, and have been active in the parish for at least three years, are asked to consider this ministry. Prepare for discernment by prayerfully reflecting whether God is calling you to serve as a member of the Council. Council terms are for three years and members are an advisory group to the Pastor and his associates, working to develop and unify the parish. Check the May parish newsletter for more information or contact Shannon Swenson at shannon@streamstudio.com or (512) 789-3912.
CHURCH OFFICES WILL BE CLOSED for the Memorial Day holiday, Monday, May 25th. They will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, May 26th.
Viviendo Nuestra Fe
Guíame, aliméntame, y ayúdame a crecer mas cerca a Dios.

Forming Our Faith ST. LOUIS CATHOLIC SCHOOL excellence in education pre k4 through 8th grade mrs. patricia romanies, M.Ed., Principal
As our year comes to a close, we have many activities that take place during the busy month of May. On May 6, our 8th grade once again squared off between our Faculty, Staff, and Volunteer Coaches in a game of basketball. It was tight the entire game with athleticism showing on both sides, but the 8th grade prevailed with a game winning shot at the buzzer to bring the score to 32-31. It was a great evening attended by school families and supporters, complete with a half-court shot contest. We will miss our 8th grade and wish them nothing but the best in high school. Once a Cougar, always a Cougar, make us proud! Blessings, Ms. Tamara Luera Director of Advancement

Society sponsors a popular Austin area tour of exceptional ponds featuring Koi, landscaping and water features. This year the Father Larry Covington designed pond, located behind the rectory, will be a featured pond on the tour. The pond is considered a quiet private meditative area for rectory residents and visitors but is not generally known to parishioners. This year the pond can be viewed as part of the tour, one day only, on Saturday, June 6, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Tour admissions for the two day tour, June 6 and 7 are $20 prior to the tour and $25 the days of the tour, (children under 12 free), but parish families can view the pond during the tour hours at no charge by identifying themselves as St. Louis members. Proceeds from the tour go The Austin Police Program Blue Santa. For further information, call Rollie Sidla at 763-607-6754 or rdsidla@gmail.com. Parish volunteers are welcome to join Rollie Sidla and his “Pond Pals” in helping maintain the pond fish, water and surrounding landscape year round. Knowledge of gardening and/or water feature experience is helpful but not necessary. Training will be provided. The time needed is about 5-10 hours per month or as required. Contact Rollie at rdsidla@ gmail.com or 763-607-6754.
