Living Our Faith
Many times we can focus most of our attention on the message of the vine in today’s gospel. And it is very important to stay connected to God. Our lives are so busy and we have so many things vying for our attention. Jesus reminds us that by staying connected to him in what we do, what we think and what we say, we are branches connected to the vine of eternal life. But there is something equally as important in his message. Jesus also reminds us that God prunes his good branches from time to time so that they can bear more fruit. These times can typically be the most difficult in our relationship with him because of the hardships we can experience. It can be challenging to remain focused and encouraged when we are going thru the trials of his pruning. It can seem that our lives were easier when we weren't as connected to him. But that isn't the case. When we separate, we fall away. Remember that even when we are being pruned, God blesses us with all we need to endure and grow stronger. We have him, the saints and our family here at St. Louis to help. Together we can become an even stronger Body of Christ. May 3, 2015

Viviendo Nuestra Fe
