Letter from the President Dear Stockton Ports Fans: As the 2015 season comes to a close I would like to thank you for your passionate support of the Stockton Ports. The season has been a joyous and successful one in many ways - on and off the field. As the only Oakland Athletics affiliate located in California, we have a unique opportunity of seeing both future and current A's players up close in our community. You have clearly demonstrated your high level of dedication and commitment this season, showing why you are the best fans in the California League. I am joined by our ownership and all of our front office, on-field personnel, and game day staff when I say thank you for your support this season. The 2015 season included amazing achievements on the field, like our current push for the postseason, our exhibition game against Delta Community College, Franklin Barreto's performance as one of the youngest players in the League, Matt Chapman’s home run surge, Dylan Covey's Mid-Season All-Star nod, A's organization debut for three trade acquisitions (Casey Meisner, Daniel Mengden, and Jacob Nottingham), MLB debuts for six former Ports (A.J. Cole, Dusty Coleman, Ryan Dull, Tyler Ladendorf, Arnold Leon, Max Muncy, and Addison Russell) and extra-inning walk-off wins. In addition to these exciting performances and happenings we have made several exciting strides off the field. The Ports Anchor Fund generated nearly $17,000 this season from the generous support of fans at various events. Every cent of those funds will go to support child and health-based community outreach programs in Stockton and San Joaquin County. For our 9th annual Pink Night, the Ports raised nearly $4,350 for St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Breast Health Services and over $4,180 for Sutter Gould Medical Foundation on the 3rd annual Knock Prostate Cancer Out of the Ballpark Day. The Ports also continued the Little League sponsorship program, helping out 14 local leagues financially and hosting nearly 8,700 Little Leaguers and family members at the ballpark from 31 different leagues, in addition to holding two Ports Youth Baseball Camps and a free Chevy Youth Clinic in 2015. For the 7th consecutive year, the Ports front office and team mascot, Splash, visited local schools to promote reading for this season’s Baseball by the Books reading program, in which the Ports distributed 43,500 bookmarks within the San Joaquin Community. On the two Ports’ Educational Days in May, Banner Island Ballpark hosted nearly 7,500 students, teachers, and chaperones from 85 schools from the San Joaquin and surrounding communities. The Ports also continued the summer reading program, in conjunction with the Stockton-San Joaquin Public Library, when Ports players made their way to local library story times and the Ports donated 7,000 tickets to participants who completed the program. Additionally, we are proud to serve our community by partnering with various local and national entities to utilize Banner Island Ballpark for other events above and beyond Stockton Ports games. These events generate national attention and significant local economic activity for our community. It’s been a pleasure to serve you and to bring the best family entertainment in our region to Banner Island Ballpark! This has been an exciting and fun-filled season, both on and off the field, for the Stockton Ports. It’s been a pleasure to serve our community and to bring our fans the best family entertainment in the region at our own Banner Island Ballpark! Go Ports!
Sincerely, Pat Filippone President

2015 Season Wrap-Up In 2015, the Stockton Ports had another exciting season at Banner Island Ballpark, from top prospects to the Ports’ playoff run as the Ports celebrated the 10th anniversary of Banner Island Ballpark and their affiliation with the Oakland Athletics. The Ports made the 2015 season unforgettable with on-field achievements such as the A’s number five prospect’s home run surge, Dylan Covey’s Mid-Season All Star nod, and the “Clubhouse Trade” which sent JetHawks battery at the time Daniel Mengden and Jake Nottingham from clubhouse to clubhouse after the A’s dealt Scott Kazmir to the Astros. As California’s sole affiliate of the A’s, the Ports were joined by various Athletics during rehab stints including names such as Coco Crisp, Josh Reddick, and Sean Doolittle.
In addition to the game, Banner Island Ballpark was full of new promotions and appearances. As the organization celebrated the 10th anniversary of Banner Island Ballpark, the Ports provided fans with a commemorative Free Shirt Friday giveaway series and Saturday Night fireworks shows for a total of thirteen throughout the season. Additionally, the Ports honored the 1965 California League Champions during their annual Alumni Night and welcomed former MLB player and fan-favorite J.T. Snow. There were two bobblehead giveaways during 2015, both recognizing 2014 Stockton Ports, Daniel Robertson and Matt Olson, along with monthly Thursday hat giveaways.
