HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY JOAN SALE!

Joan Sale celebrated her 100th Birthday on Saturday 16th July 2022 with friends and family gathering to celebrate! Joan has lived in Stotfold since just after the Second World War. Anyone who has spoken to her knows that she’s not really a local girl you can take a girl out of Nottinghamshire but you can’t take Nottinghamshire out of the girl! During the war Joan served in the army at Ripon where she met her future husband Peter. After the war, Joan and Peter married and moved to Stotfold, Peter's home town, first moving into a Flat on Trinity Road and then into Joan's present home on Princes Street. Peter found employment at Jones Cranes in Letchworth and Joan was dinner lady at Roecroft School for over twenty years. They brought up their two children Pat and Derek in Stotfold and many readers will remember them too. Joan now has five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Congratulations Joan! Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Joan!
