EDITORIAL PIONEER SPIRIT
That’s what distinguishes genuine pioneers: going where no one has dared to go before. Discovering new horizons, crossing borders, exploring novel territory. Perceiving challenges as an opportunity, a chance. Building new things from old, from valuable, tested values, perfecting them, developing them further. If Streifzug meets up with a new partner such as GlobeAir which lives the self-same values in its own exclusive area, it is nearly “self-evident” that the signal ignites and synergies become perceptible. It is built on the basis of a fruitful and trusting business relationship – for example, bandied about over a glass of wine – where ideas seem to fall from the sky and then merge into common interests and projects. And always under the same happy omen: “What is best for our clients?” One of these novel projects is the flight magazine you are now holding in your hands.
What can you expect from genuine pioneers? Professional competence to turn their ideas to reality, which is to say, develop inspirations and visions into the hard-and-fast achievements of “Best Of.” That is the spirit which has stamped its signature on the contributions in this issue.
And therewith, we invite you to take part in a journey to extraordinary real estate projects which have set new standards in architecture, location and comfort. Above and beyond that, to exquisite European resorts and hotels which offer the finest of wellness and relaxation in their splendid locations, and perhaps ideal inspirations for your own next trip with GlobeAir. Then as now marked by pioneer spirit and enthusiasm for individual service, long established interior designers, furnishing designers and manufacturers who again and again raise eyebrows of fascination with their projects and products. Trendsetting, sometimes epochally so, stimulating and quickening – another outstanding characteristic of pioneers, incidentally – is also a futuristic cultural and culinary location at Salzburg Airport and a racy Italian plug-in hybrid super sports car.
Don’t fail to discover the inspiring art collection of an art collective at a gallery in South Africa which presents and organises great exhibitions in Europe. Or how one of the most renowned photograph artists in Germany today dedicates her work to the protection of nature... and how you might be able to support her efforts.
We wish you a pleasant flight, and happy reading.
Yours Sincerely,
Walter & Etha Taferner PublishersWELCOME ON BOARD

As a common thread, the theme of the ”Four Seasons“ accompanies the entire interior, which is characterised by a few materials that harmonise perfectly with each other.
WHEN LESS IS MORE
How do the words reduction and cosiness fit into a common denominator? According to the Design Team at Bernd Gruber Kitzbühel, quite well. Because the path to harmonising these two concepts leads through materiality.
The clients got a taste for it when they discovered the work of Bernd Gruber Interior Design during a visit to friends. Their own newly constructed villa with 1000 square metres of living space in Luxembourg was to be adequately furnished and equipped in line with the architecture – not too minimalist, but also not too cosy. Just in the middle. The visit to the friends had far-reaching consequences. Initially, the clients commissioned the interior specialist with the implementation of a so-called "Stübli" in the basement. They quickly found common sense, and after visiting another project made by the renowned design office, the contract was ultimately expanded to cover the entire house.
GETTING DRESSED AND LETTING GO
The demands were high, as it was necessary to plan the interior in such a way that the house feels cosy and inviting, despite its dimensions and modern architectural language. It was intended to be a place of safety and security, yet not overly opulent, but rather minimalist, in order to still feel the space and the idea behind it. As a common thread, the theme of the "Four Seasons" accompanies the entire interior, which is characterised by a few materials that harmonise perfectly with each other. This resulted in areas that can be described as warm and sensual in autumn and winter, and
AS AN OPTIMAL COMPLEMENT TO THE SPACIOUSNESS OF THE ARCHITECTURE AND ITS IMPRESSIVE GLASS SURFACES, AS WELL AS A CEILING HEIGHT OF THREE METRES AND MANY TEXTURED WALL SURFACES, WE BROUGHT COSINESS AND THE DESIRED WARMTH INTO THE HOUSE WITH THE DARK WOOD CEILING.
MATTHIAS RAGGL, SENIOR DESIGNER AT BERND GRUBER
fresh and inspiring in spring and summer. Bernd Gruber Designers created this special ambience through unique, artisanal design details and a sensitive selection of qualities that give the house a true soul. No singular style was developed, but rather an attempt was made to find tailored solutions on par with the architecture and the natural surroundings of the house, reflecting the personality of the clients and emphasising an incomparable sense of wellbeing.
NOT TOO MUCH, NOT TOO LITTLE
This proverbial "art de vivre" is palpable from the first step into the imposing entrance. Ceilings and floors made of oak wood in various surface finishes; kitchen, spa area, and travertine stone floors, individually crafted wooden tables, delicate metal frames enclosing the textured kitchen fronts – all of this has been created through many hours of loving and meticulous craftsmanship. The open sequence of spaces and the numerous glass surfaces contrast with impressive wooden panelling –
a serene design equilibrium that both grounds and uplifts at the same time. Light also plays one of the main roles in this project. On one hand, the building is flooded with daylight through large window openings. On the other hand, light is always an essential part of the interior architecture, but also crucial for the impact of the architecture outward. Light stages and accents – it gives the noble surfaces the finishing touch. In every corner of the villa, one can feel the passion, empathy, and emotion with which this project was realised – not least through the curated selection of extraordinary furniture, artworks, and decorative elements: The overall result is a sophisticated interplay in the rhythm of the seasons, between inside and outside, between restraint and focus on the essential.

A SECOND HOME IN PARADISE
The groundbreaking ceremonies for the Valsant Project in Croatia are scheduled for autumn, 2024. This will mark the start of a new, ambitious construction project for which five exclusively furnished luxury villas comprising as many as 17 residences on the steep coasts of the Adriatic Sea near the town of Opatija will be erected by Rooms Adriatic.
In Kvarner Bay, home of numerous legendary luxury health resorts, Mošćenička Draga is located, draped elegantly over the beautiful Učka mountains. There the Rooms Group will realise through Rooms Adriatic the VALSANT project comprising five breathtaking villas – including allround services and luxuries in the style of western civilisation.
In the luxurious villas up to 17 residences are planned whose size ranges between 42 m2 and 134 m2. However, it is also possible to combine individual elements of up to 370 m2 per villa. Two terraces and a summer kitchen distinguish these exquisite holiday domiciles. The interplay of interior rooms flooded with natural light plus clear, geometric architectural lines generate a pleasant, luxurious living atmosphere. Added to that are floor heating,
air-conditioning throughout, a panorama lift and 22 parking bays in the garage. “Our Rooms concept is perfectly suited and adapted to life on the Mediterranean, combining modern architecture with premium materials such as natural stone and wood,” says Tarik Osmanagic, Managing Director of Rooms. “We provide the unsurpassed second home.”
ARCHITECTURE AS A PART OF NATURE
In the immediate vicinity of Opatija, Rooms Adriatic placed high value on exquisite architecture and refined details in the interior. Both interior and exterior architecture connect palpably with the natural surroundings, continuing their seamless flow in the interplay of materials and forms. What is special about this residence: all-round concierge
THE INTERPLAY OF INTERIOR ROOMS FLOODED WITH NATURAL LIGHT PLUS CLEAR, GEOMETRIC ARCHITECTURAL LINES GENERATE A PLEASANT, LUXURIOUS LIVING ATMOSPHERE.
ROOMS ADRIATIC …
... is a subsidiary of Rooms GmbH Group, with its headquarters in Vienna and Klagenfurt, which develops real estate projects with the focal point on top-class planning and executing performance including all-encompassing areas of interior and exterior architecture.
Rooms Adriatic intends to realize luxury real estate properties throughout the entire Adriatic region which in terms of concept, style and interior furnishings are oriented to the high standards in quality and design which are intrinsic to Rooms. After all, “People don’t just want to travel. They long for sustainable experiences, impressions and adventures. They want to enter a relationship with their environment, they want to be emotionally moved by it. But they also seek balance and want to slow down the pace of modern life.”

The topography and nature of the Učka mountain range deeply inspired the designers at Rooms Adriatic: a potpourri of natural beauties which can be surpassed only by the fabulous views over the Adriatic Sea. “Our architecture reaches deep down into the primordial qualities of the mountain range and makes the villas literally melt into the landscape,” explains Osmanagic. The residential complex is located directly at the sea’s edge with access to the water. The relatively short distance from Austria, and also from Munich, makes it attractive for clients from the German-speaking area.
AT HOME ON THE ADRIATIC SEA
VALSANT has created a brand new travel trend: those who go on vacation don’t want to leave home to travel, rather, they want to come home – to a second home at the seaside, but with all the comforts and amenities of a hotel. And, of course, the luxurious atmosphere of a modern five-star domicile. Timeless contemporary concrete generates clear-cut geometric lines. Elements of wood supply a warm, pleasant flair when utilised as separating walls and sun protection. Huge window fronts and open spaces present the spectacular nature of Croatia in a luscious understatement with unhindered sea views. Those things result in a profound, uninterrupted connection with the glistening surfaces of the sea.
Rooms Adriatic does not just touch a nerve with this project, rather, it touches the human heart. Up close with the authentic beauties of nature and culture on the coast of Croatia, and yet serene, stylish and simply beautiful.

Is GlobeAir like an international family?
Definitely, with colleagues from over 21 countries, the diversity here enriches our workplace and enhances our cultural understanding. Being of Sri Lankan descent and raised in London, I cherish this multicultural environment.
Why is training crucial for pilots?
Training ensures the highest safety standards. Our pilots undergo biannual simulator training that focuses on abnormal procedures and critical skills like communication and decision-making, preparing us to safely handle any situation.
What are the challenges and rewards of your job?
Challenges include navigating adverse weather and managing sudden changes in plans. The rewards are immense, like flying into challenging airports like Samedan and Innsbruck and delivering passengers to breathtaking destinations.
THE FUTURE OF AVIATION LIES IN SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES.
Where do you see the future of aviation?
The future of aviation lies in sustainable practices. At GlobeAir, we lead with initiatives like our #WeArePlanetA program, focusing on carbon offsetting to ensure a sustainable future for aviation.
Which destination can you recommend?
For sun and beach lovers, I recommend the southern regions of Europe like the Balearic Islands and Sardinia, known for their beautiful weather and local cuisine.
Tell us about yourself.
I'm married with two young children and live in South London. GlobeAir's work-life balance allows me to be present for my family while maintaining a career in aviation. I enjoy socialising and running in my free time to stay fit and mentally healthy.

And once again, STEININGER demonstrates its outstanding feel for design and architecture. In this unusual project the objective was to plan, design and furnish an exclusive beachside villa in Croatia. The result speaks for itself: in premium quality and noblesse it is simply unbeatable.
Entrance foyer. Bright floors and dark walls provide a refined contrast. The reduced furnishings theme continues through the rooms. The overriding visual axis leans towards the sea, as in each room.
On the Croatian seacoast STEININGER realised a private leisure time domicile to completion. What was particularly special about it: each and every detail is perfectly coordinated and harmonised with the rest. It bears the signature of chief designer Martin Steininger and his team. His company was in charge of exterior architecture, interior architecture, garden landscaping, as well as interior furnishings down to the most minute details. An outstanding highlight is the kitchen. For the beachside villa a kitchen was designed and executed in customised detail which wins accolades especially for the nanotech material “Fenix” which was utilised.
WE THINK THROUGH THE BUILDING FROM INSIDE OUT, BUT ALSO FROM OUTSIDE IN. THAT IS THE WAY IT IS TURNED INTO AN ALLENCOMPASSING WORK OF ART.
VIEWS OVER THE SEA –FROM EVERY CORNER
Located directly on the beach, one gazes out over the Adriatic Sea. The building opens its arms wide to the water and transports the far-reaching expanses and freedom of the sea straight into the interior. On the outside a wall jutty encircling the terrace provides a desirable screen from unwanted views so that from inside the seaward vistas are utterly unhindered by the immediate surroundings. The famous natural stone from Brac is what made this possible, it has provided this protection for monuments all over the world for centuries. A perfect ensemble –residing in fullest harmony.
A GLIMPSE BEHIND THE CURTAIN
The STEININGER brand stands for puristic and exquisite architecture, interiors and designer kitchens. Mastermind Martin Steininger runs the manufacture and several showrooms. STEININGERS BESPOKE designs and architectural settings are in demand in many countries: they awaken enthusiasm and win praise through their distinctive clear lines, timelessness and refined details. Martin Steininger is an aesthete and minimalist. What counts most for him is prominent design, that in his mind is what enhances value. And it goes without saying that everything functions flawlessly. All designs are subordinated to this credo.

COUNTRY HOUSE
In private audience with his majesty –the ” Wilder Kaiser“
ust imagine if you were always accompanied, wreathed, by imperial majesty. Your early morning greeting, eyeball to eyeball, would become a ritual, in other words, the day can begin. Spurred by the fiery beauty of the surroundings, you stroll through your new, elegant country house in Reith/Kitzbühel and take a step outside into a piece of nature that seems to transcend even its own rich bounds.
ENJOYMENTS AT THE TOP OF THE SPECTRUM
From outside to inside, every single detail of this country home was meticulously penetrated and
created. Its heart is formed by the 78 m2 large living zone on the upper floor. The eminently visible roof truss in antique spruce and the open fireplace facing the living zone bear brilliant witness to the successful merging of alpine lifestyle and extraordinary craftsmanship. In the midst of these wonders, your private life unfolds, accompanied by designer furniture and the exquisitely harmonized colour concept and living plan. The views out to the “Wilder Kaiser” in the north and to the “Grosser Rettenstein” and “Hahnenkamm” in the south are unhindered, wide-open, enticing you to go outdoors to greet them. What a splendid place! On the huge, roofed-over terrace on the south side the mountains seem close enough to touch.
AN INSTANT OF HAPPINESS IS CAPTURED, IT CAN RADIATE FOR ALL ETERNITY IN A HARMONIOUS SYMBIOSIS OF NATURE AND ARCHITECTURE.
ENERGY AND TRANQUILLITY UNITED
Water, the major element of life and symbol of recuperation. This is what pours out plentifully in the lovely wellness zone and in the natural pool, becoming a fountain of youth for body and soul. An additional oasis of relaxation is located in the large master bedroom with dressing room and large master bathroom. Adhering to the selfsame overall concept, three further bedrooms with bathrooms en-suite were realised. These are dreams which come to life.
KISSED BY STYLE AND ELEGANCE
Residing and living – with all five senses amid highly pegged expectations, things we desire and grant to ourselves. Behind the savvy concept of this new country house in the centre of Reith stands the professional builder Franz Obermoser. Many prestigious projects in Kitzbühel and environs have been built by him over the last three decades. The designer signature is that of architectural professional Matthias Obermoser. He demonstrates a filigree fine touch for alpinemodern aesthetics. The country house will be handed over turnkey style, ready for occupancy. It is not a leisure residence.

WHAT NO ONE HAS DONE BEFORE
These grounds would be perfectly suitable for a Star Trek set. As the home base of the Fleet to the stars, for example. And gentleman captain Jean Luc Picard, aka the renowned Shakespearian actor Sir Patrick Stewart, would assuredly be a regular guest here so that he, together with his crew, could savour galactic-exquisite culinary sensations at the star-studded “Ikarus” restaurant.
hat we are referring to, of course, is Hangar-7 at Salzburg Airport. The vision of its developers was to create a place where technique, art, entertainment and culinary adventures begin. Here is where legendary airplanes are parked, top-premium meals are served, and sophisticated works of art are exhibited, amidst innovative architecture with an incomparable atmosphere. Last but not least, Hangar-7 was intended to become a meeting spot for people who in their leisure time want to see, taste and experience the extraordinary. These dreams of the pioneers of yesteryear were turned to reality. Every since then, the concept has awakened the enthusiasm not only of locals but also of passengers who land here from all over the world.

DONE” – THE IKARUS GUEST-CHEF CONCEPT
One outstanding example for the success of Hangar-7 is an unusual restaurant concept that until
now no one has dared to introduce: at Restaurant Ikarus, every month another top notch chef de cuisine is invited to cook as honoured guest. This guest-chef concept occupies a niche in the top ranks of restaurants and Hangar-7 is the unbeatable ambience for the experiment. Restaurant Ikarus was awarded by Guide Michelin two out of a possible three stars. Gault & Millau awarded it five toques/19 points, Falstaff 100 points/four forks, five spoons in the Schlemmer Atlas. Above and beyond that, the restaurant is a member of the illustrious clan known as “Les Grandes Tables du Monde.“ No one less than Eckart Witzigmann set the standards for this innovative concept. The chef-ofthe-century had Martin Klein at his side as executive chef of the restaurant.
NO ONE LESS THAN ECKART WITZIGMANN SET THE STANDARDS FOR THIS INNOVATIVE CONCEPT.
THE FINEST LOUNGE DISHES FOR IN-BETWEEN ARE MUCH IN DEMAND.
UNIQUE, RICH IN NUANCES, DARING, OPEN TO THE WORLD
For the house team, the guest-chef concept means there is a new menu every single month, and a new chef-de-cuisine whose wishes and methods need to be carried out. That demands a superlative degree of talent, adaptability and team spirit. Also for the service brigade surrounding Florian Kempinger, who analyses each current menu down to the last details and aids restaurant guests in exquisite fashion. Which, by the way, also includes learning the perfect wines to accompany the sophisticated new dishes which are new every month.
Regardless whether Sergio Herman, Ryan Clift, Dominique Crenn, Xavier Pellicier, Grant Achatz and Harald Wohlfahrt – all of them answered the call of Hangar-7 in order to pamper and spoil the restaurant guests with sometimes traditional, sometimes unusual, but invariably tasty creations. Here, old masters from the best restaurants of the world are just as welcome as the young wild guys with a feverish ambition to reach the top and have the talents to go along with it. It is an exciting proposition. All five continents are still sending lots of fabulous chefs to Hangar-7. And Martin Klein and Eckart Witzigmann are searching the world to engage more.
ADDITIONAL CULINARY HIGHLIGHTS AT HANGAR-7
At the Carpe Diem Lounge – Café you can enjoy not only a selection of the finest coffee and tea specialties but also delicious breakfast variations, scrumptious homemade cakes and desserts. The finest lounge dishes for in-between are much in demand. In this atmosphere, you certainly will never just gulp down an espresso.
The “Mayday Bar” spoils visitors with international cocktails and delicious bar food dishes. It boasts a huge selection of exquisite cocktails from all over the world as well as a foodsharing concept which promises another large dose of internationality.
For the Hangar-7 “Outdoor Lounge” Martin Klein and his team have created a menu which will make the mouths of every cultivated barbecue-chef water. It includes choice delicacies from the grill at the highest imaginable level, and where even vegetarians will find their share of great dishes.
FACTS AND DETAILS
Conceived by architect Volkmar Burgstaller, Hangar-7 opened its portals on 22nd August 2003, after a mere four years of planning and building! Striking feature of the building is the unparalleled steel-and-glass construction. As much as 14,000 m3 of cement, 1200 tons of steel and 7000 m2 of glass went into it. The glass was processed in 1754 large, often specially finished panels of varying size. Hangar-7 stands on a surface plot of 3700 m2, overall built-upon surface amounts to 4100 m2. The hall is about 100 m long, 67 m wide and 14.5 m high. The accumulated length of the grout filled with silicon holding all that the glass together is 16 km.
AND IN ADDITION TO THAT, HANGAR-7 IS ALSO:
– home base for the historic fleet of The Flying Bulls – exhibition space for outstanding works of art and a zone of exchanging inspiring ideas between artists and art lovers
– a museum for aircraft, racing fireballs and many other exhibit objects – the largest and most beautiful glass house in the world with rare and impressive plants
– an imposing set for Servus TV programmes

ONE-OF-A-KIND SUN SAILS
Since 1993 SunSquare has repeatedly set new standards in designing and building sun sails. The motor-driven, wind-guarded and custom-made sun protection systems have broken up and intermingled the borders between indoors and outdoors, offering innovative solutions for highly sophisticated architectural projects.
unSquare gives rise to entirely new areas of living, drawing together aesthetics, functionality and convenience, making creative and efficient solutions possible in public spaces.
SunSquare models are conceived meticulously from start to finish and are continually being further developed. Each component is separate and exchangeable, service is thereby easy and uncomplicated, reduced to a minimum.
More than 15,000 already realised projects bear vivid witness to the quality of planning, design and execution of the company whose headquarters are in Lower Austria and which is active throughout the world. Every SunSquare system is custommade, minutely tailored to the precise needs of each client.
COUNTLESS POSSIBILITIES & TOP TECHNOLOGY
The windproof triangular and rectangular sails find ideal utilisation in gardens, all around pools and ponds, in historic protected landmark zones, in places open to the public, in hotels and restaurants as an extension of liveable, enjoyable spaces out onto a terrace, above glass roofs, below indoor glass roofs, etc. Moreover, all SunSquare sun sails are equipped with a wind sensor which emits a
signal as soon as windspeeds reach 40 km/hr for the motor to automatically close down the system.
The maximum sail size of a SunSquare system is 76 m². Nevertheless, it is possible to create a line, a sequence of SunSquare systems adjacent to each other if larger areas need to be protected from sun and rain. The mechanism adjusting its height which was specially developed by the company – driven either manually or electrically – has positive effects both on the shade which is cast and on the drainage action of the SunSquare system.
A BRAND NEW PRODUCT: FOLD&ROLL AXIS
With the FOLD&ROLL AXIS – which is also equipped with a wind sensor – SunSquare designer Gerald Wurz has once again struck a new standard in large-scale textile architecture. Utilising two
points of fixation, a sail surface area of 71 m² is achieved. For smaller outdoor areas there is an additional model with 46 m² of sail surface area. The simple handling and the clear design which melds seamlessly into a wide variety of architectural concepts make them suitable in particular for use in the hotel and restaurant branch, in leisure-activity zones and in spaces open to the wide public: shade or rain protection at the push of a button.
The new model FOLD&ROLL AXIS is particularly well suited for use in the catering business and in leisure activity zones.
LAKE STARNBERG
ART OF LIVING
Located in best possible spot on the northern shores of Lake Starnberg, an exclusive new construction project known as ARTHOUSE, which includes the breathtaking historic Villa de Osa, is being erected. To live here is to enjoy a living style at a very elevated niveau.
he ensemble comprises five newly erected buildings – with the historic Villa de Osa right in the middle – and is ensconced on the choicest lot on Lake Starnberg. From here, astoundingly beautiful panoramic views are guaranteed, embodying a feeling of living, of elegance and of innovation. Tradition and modernity are reflected in the architecture which, in turn, melds seamlessly into the surrounding natural environment in an unbeatable location.
A MASTERPIECE OF CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE
Aesthetics merge with functionality: the five-cornered building structure bestows upon each individual house a particular personality. Flat roofs with spacious rooftop terraces open up breathtaking views into the distance. The four apartments in each building each have their own identity, and a family
home completes the ensemble. Loggias on the upper floors generate zones of privacy. Large-format windows extending down to floor level create rooms flooded with natural light. The geologicalconglomerate facade with rear ventilation lends it a robust elegance and also provides effective heat insulation. Electric louvered venetian blinds make individually adjustable brightness/shading possible, glass balconies give the whole an overall impression of transparent lightness.
ROOM FOR CREATIVITY, RELAXATION, ENJOYMENT
Wide-open room planning generate lots of space for personal ideas to unfold, as well as flexible utilisation. All the residential units have spacious living/dining areas. Wood parquet floors guarantee a homey, inviting atmosphere. The apartments on the upper

floors also have an exclusive wellness zone and there is a wine cellar in the basement. The master bedrooms are zones of retreat to tranquillity and intimacy, some of which have dressing rooms. The maisonette and penthouse apartments have as many as three bedrooms. The penthouse residences have direct access to generously proportioned roof terraces and private elevators. Glass balconies on the upper floors extend the living room further to ‘include’ outdoor space. Terraces on the ground floor fit seamlessly into the living rooms inside.
With ARTHOUSE you will savour residing/living as a form of art, in a home radiating character and the highest imaginable measure of luxury and comfort.

S SENSE OF SPACE
The Munich Interior Design Studio Holzrausch conquers the world.
hether Tobias Petri and Sven Petzold ran straight to the cinema in the spring of 1997 when Bille August's film "Fräulein Smillas Gespür für Schnee" ("Smilla’s Sense of Snow") had just been released can no longer be said for sure. They certainly saw the thriller back then. There must have been something in the air, a willingness to listen to their own senses, their very own talents, something that had to do precisely with this kind of intuition and its inherent possibilities. In the case of the two young carpenters, it was an extraordinarily fine feeling for wood, for its textures, its warmth, its processing properties, simply the pure desire to work with it – at any rate, it was precisely at that time that Petri and Petzold set about opening their own studio in Munich. Holzrausch was born.
ments, but also share them from the bottom of their hearts."
ONLY INDIVIDUALITY & QUALITY COUNT
WHEN TOBIAS PETRI AND SVEN PETZOLD LOOK AT ROOMS, THEY PRIMARILY SEE DESIGN SPACES.
A good 25 years have passed since then, during which the two designers have long since earned a reputation beyond the country's borders as having established one of the most advanced interior design offices on the scene. As a planning office for interior design with its own workshops, Holzrausch Studio designs and realises exclusive interior design projects – all over the world. The interplay between design, planning and craftsmanship could not be closer. Designers, factory planners and craftsmen are in constant dialogue on site and are united in their desire to bring individual design concepts to fruition.
"With Holzrausch Studio, we design spaces in a very comprehensive sense," summarises Tobias Petri. "What we design, we also realise ourselves. In our own workshops and together with a finely curated network of experts and like-minded people, designers and craftsmen who have grown over many years and who not only understand our require-
When Tobias Petri and Sven Petzold look at rooms, they primarily see design spaces. Nothing fascinates them more than the opportunity to emphasise the uniqueness of a place with special materials and individually developed functional solutions. Focussing on the raw material, Holzrausch Studio develops holistic concepts that bear a minimalist, timeless signature and are only committed to a single standard: unconditional quality. "Everything else is never the same, because our customers are never the same," continues Tobias Petri. "Measure twice, cut once," is the saying among woodworkers. "Ask three times, we still put that first," adds Sven Petzold. Listen carefully, take a close look and then get to work with uncompromising consistency. "We don't just work for our customers, we work with them. Our answers are never the easy way. But always one that is worthwhile. Because it always leads to something new that hasn't been there before," is how Petzold and Petri formulate their credo – over two decades of experience, refinement and constantly pushing the boundaries.
BEYOND THE EDGES
The smallest detail is the greatest, and no detail is left to chance. For Holzrausch Studio, dedication means absolute precision and extends to the furthest corner. Even if you may never get to see it. With their interior design studio, Petri, Petzold and their team conceptualise and supervise projects holistically, no matter where in the world. Whether it's an existing or new build, they bring the different
trades together in the spatial planning and its implementation and also develop customised furniture and lighting. "Translating the essence of a material into the aesthetics of customised architecture is what drives us," sums up Sven Petzold. "We create rooms and furniture that bear a minimalist, timeless signature." Everything from a single source – it's so easy to say. But the spectrum between system catering and Michelin-starred cuisine is notoriously wide – it's easy to guess where Holzrausch Studio fits in.
Petri and Petzold have succeeded in creating an unmistakable signature in which cultural knowledge, master craftsmanship and the curious utilisation of a wide range of materials that extends far beyond wood come together to form a dense amalgam. Basically, the two designers look beyond the edges of their plates. Both in terms of inspirational trips around the world and concrete projects, such as the many sophisticated private residences from the hills of Tuscany to Fisher Island, or the new Leica Stores for which Holzrausch Studio is responsible internationally – they recently celebrated their ope-
ning in New York. This is exactly the path that Holzrausch will continue to follow.
DESIGNS FOR ETERNITY
Everything Petri and Petzold do, they do with a farsighted view of the day after tomorrow. Not only because the selected materials endure and mature instead of fading. But also, because Holzrausch Studio's designs decidedly do not follow fashions. Because they endure. Good things do not lose their relevance.
Many can create beautiful rooms, and so can distinctive furnishings. But what is immediately apparent in the work of Tobias Petri and Sven Petzold with Holzrausch Studio is a holistic harmony of elements in which the design, the accuracy in the selection of materials with surfaces that you can't keep your hands off and the quality of the workmanship come together harmoniously and compellingly. There would be enough material to make a new film. What could it be called? Mr Petri's and Mr Petzold's Sense of Space, of course.

REDUCING WITH STYLE
If we follow the lead of our hearts, we sometimes let time come to a standstill. Such quiet luxury generates new worlds of thought which find expression in mindful architecture.
ust imagine, if you followed the lead of your innermost voice, and let time simply come to a standstill here and there. You close the door and leave the world outside. That is the entirety of the niksen principle: not being obligated to do a single thing. Because everything is already here.
POLARISINGLY BEAUTIFUL
The architectural style of niksen house combines mountains and nature in modern and unique ways. It has been furnished by Aufschnaiter Interior (more on page 116) with noble designer pieces and premium quality one-of-a-kind. Classic forms and groundedto-earth colours create the overall tone, generating a gingerly constructed framework which permits sufficient room for individual values and elements to find their place. The location is nothing less than perfect: in Kirchberg, just a stone’s throw from the yearround luxury destination of Kitzbühel. In the three niksen house sanctuaries which are for sale, the wish for permanence becomes reality at nearly 900 metres altitude, in a serene spot on a gentle mountain slope with the possibility of ski-in/ski-out as well as breathtaking views over the vast mountain world.
ANCHOR IN THE EARTH
Luxury and serenity merge in the approximately 230 m2 large garden apartment with about 100 m2
of spacious terrace. The sanctuary is divided into two bedrooms with bathrooms en-suite, a master bedroom with master bath, a large living/dining area, wardrobe, guest-toilet, utility room, private spa including a sauna, shower, toilet, space for fitness equipment and a large chill-out zone with day bed.
THE MIDDLE KINGDOM
The middle kingdom is occupied by the largest unit: 270 m2 of pure living space plus approximately 69 m2 of terrace ambience. It consists of master bedroom with master bath, two bedrooms with en-suite baths, an office or guest bedroom with en-suite bath, large wide-open living/dining area, utility room, wardrobe, guest-toilet, as well as a well-being area including sauna, shower, toilet and daytime bed, all of which adds up to a residence dream turned to reality.
THE HEAVENLY SPHERE
This exquisite luxury apartment of approximately 114 m2 living space and approximately 107 m2 of terrace comprising a large living/dining area, two bedrooms with en-suite baths, a wardrobe, a guest-toilet and a utility room.

CORTE DELLA MAESTÀ
The magic of a timeless retreat in Italy.

CORTE DELLA MAESTÀ
ome places are simply unique. Living in such places is like jumping into a wonderful dream full of unforgettable moments. Imagining these places is not enough, you have to experience them. They come from afar and are enveloped in knowledge and life. Taking the time to experience Corte della Maestà is a privilege. And the most precious gift one can receive.
Corte della Maestà is situated in one of the most beautiful villages in the world called Civita di Bagnoregio, “the dying city”. It is an Italian masterpiece in the Lazio region, just south of the border with Umbria, east of the border with Tuscany. Perched on an outcrop of soft volcanic rock, Civita di Bagnoregio appears to its visitors as a strange island rising eerily from the valley floor, connected to reality only by a long footbridge. Civita presents an irresistible allure to beauty, arts and crafts.
LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
Corte della Maestà is part of the bishop’s palace built in the XIV century. Paolo Crepet and Cristiana Melis restored this one-of-a-kind building together and opened the property as a Bed and Breakfast in 2013, while keeping the palace (Borgo) as their private home. Describing Corte della Maestà simply as B&B is far too banal. It’s much more. It’s not simply a mediocre accommodation where to stay! It is an eccentric, creative, brilliant, unrivaled showcase, a place to live in, a place to fall in love.
A HOME OF AND FOR ART
Today, Corte della Maestà represents the continuation of the art collection that Paolo Crepet and his wife Cristiana Melis – the most wonderful hosts ever –have been building up for decades. With ancient and contemporary paintings, sacred and secular objects, furniture purchased in antique markets and shops
RESTORED THIS ONEOF-A-KIND BUILDING TOGETHER AND OPENED THE PROPERTY AS A BED AND BREAKFAST IN 2013.
THE HEART AND THE SOUL OF CORTE DELLA MAESTÀ IS ITS MAGNIFICENT KITCHEN.
around the world, an incredible collection of mirrors, ceramics and antique carpets, this spectacular ensemble of art objects bears witness to the passion that underlies the decision to create this inimitable place. Corte is a cabinet of wonders where the old and the new, the sacred and the secular come together and become the essence of wonder and beauty.
NOTHING LEFT TO BE DESIRED
Corte della Maestà houses four guest rooms with meaningful names: The Abbess, The Sleepwalker, The Writer, The Intruder. From June on there will be a fifth, very spacious guest room: The “Corte at Lake Bolsena” at a separate address in the small town of Bolsena.
The heart and the soul of Corte della Maestà is its magnificent kitchen. It leads to the wonderful Bishop’s Garden, a magical hideaway full of plants, flowers, niches and surprises. Here, guests are invited for a drink or to have breakfast among hundreds of roses or under flourishing apricot, fig or cherry trees. From time to time Cristiana’s pedigree cute Labradors, Ortensia and Oliva, appear on the scene running happily from here and there and saying “hello” to guests.
Corte della Maestà is a place of passion and love of beauty. It’s all about hospitality at its best and a profound feeling of home. It is a unique, inimitable place of wonder and happiness.
NEWS
On May 7th 2024, Corte della Maestà was awarded three MICHELIN keys at a press conference in Milan: the first hotel rating distinguished by the prestigious MICHELIN Guide. It is a brand-new recognition for the most outstanding hotels across the world. Corte della Maestà is one of only eight hotels in Italy to receive the highest recognition: three MICHELIN keys for “an extraordinary stay”. An outstanding result for an outstanding timeless retreat situated in the historical Civita di Bagnoregio.

MAKING WHAT’S ESSENTIAL VISIBLE
“WE ONLY SEE TRULY WITH THE HEART. WHAT IS ESSENTIAL IS INVISIBLE TO THE EYES,” SAYS THE LITTLE PRINCE IN ANTOINE DE SAINT-EXUPÉRY’S BOOK OF THAT NAME. WHEN ARTISTS TRY TO MAKE WHAT IS ESSENTIAL VISIBLE, THEY NEED TO REACH AND TOUCH THE HEARTS OF THE VIEWER. PHOTOGRAPHER NOMI BAUMGARTL IS A MASTER OF THAT PARTICULAR ART.
What distinguishes her works is easily described: depth. The ability to deliver to the viewer more levels of reality than merely making the surface resonate. It has always been that way in her career, when she worked for magazines such as Geo, Stern, Time and Life, made portraits of Arthur Rubinstein, Joseph Beuys, Horst Janssen, Andreas Feininger, Jane Goodall, Stephen Hawking, Pope
Johannes Paul II and many others besides, alongside photographing for fashion productions, Vanity Fair and Vogue, and more.
ART OF SEEING
The soul which dwells inside things – making that visible. In Baumgartl’s photographic art it has always been a responsibility she felt she owed to the future, answering the question of the effects our modern way of life has on the planet and on successive generations. For that reason, she began early on to document the degree which highly sensitive ecosystems are endangered because of the climate change. Her works don’t merely capture the beauty of our planet, they also address what will be forfeited if we do not do the right things right now.
Under her own emblem, “Art of seeing,” she became known even in her earliest productions, in the years 2000 and 2001, for example, in the Bahamas with supermodel and her own close friend Tatjana Patitz for the organisation Dolphin Aid. Or in 2012 with the Light Art project known as “Stella Polaris,” which documented the disappearing glaciers of Greenland. Since 2009, the consequences of climate change in the Alps have been a subject particularly dear to Nomi Baumgartl. “Only if we can melt the ice inside the human heart do we have a chance of changing ourselves and applying our newly won knowledge,” she says quoting Angaangaq Angakkorsuaq, the Inuit shaman and guide for her Greenland projects.
EAGLE WINGS FOUNDATION
“Eagle Wings – Protecting the Alps” was another prime example for her devoted engagement for art and protection of the Alps. Together with Helmut Achatz in 2017, she started the project which followed with eagle eyes the rapidly changing, i.e. deteriorating landscapes of the Alps from three
different points of vantage: EARTH – AIR – OUTER SPACE. In a group of experienced mountain climbers, falconer Jacques Olivier Travers and the team from the German Air and Space Centre DLR, a running documentation was created which raised the roof in the media. Following that, Nomi Baumgartl founded the Eagle Wings Foundation in 2022, towards which she wants to dedicate her entire energy in future. “My eye is made for photographic art. I want to encounter on the deepest possible level the spirit and mysticism of the Alps, the glaciers, all of their surrounding nature. We are a part of the immense overall whole. If we separate ourselves from that, we will not be able to protect it,” she says.
ETERNAL ICONS
Today Nomi Baumgartl numbers among the most renowned and multi-faceted photographers in Europe, partly because this grande dame of photographic art stems from the Nördlinger Ries whence her down-to-earth attitude, her inherent goodness of heart and her zingingly positive energy, despite numerous blows of fate have proven to be so
WE HUMAN BEINGS NEED TO COME TO OUR SENSES AND REALISE THAT NATURE IS NOT ONLY WHAT IS OUTSIDE OUR FRONT DOOR, BUT RATHER, WE OURSELVES ARE PART OF THE OVERALL WHOLE WHICH WE MUST STRIVE TO DISCOVER AND THEN MAINTAIN FOR THE NEXT GENERATION.
NOMI BAUMGARTLunbelievably impressive and steadfast. Her works are to be found exhibited in famous private collections and museums. And strictly limited numbers of her works are in high demand by collectors on the international art markets.
Of more recent date was the exhibition known as “Eternal Icons” in the Leica Galerie in Munich, at which the Leica ambassador
presented a selection of her most iconic masterpieces from the era of the supermodels. Since 1st May 2024, these works occupy an honoured spot at the Munich branch of the private bank Donner & Reuschel in the interim. From that group, the splendid black-and-white photograph of her bosom friend Tatjana Patitz († January 2023) will be auctioned online.
MORE ABOUT NOMI BAUMGARTL
Nomi is also ambassador for Dolphin Art and “Strong Voices for a Strong Youth,” the Sauti Kuu foundation established by Dr. Auma Obama in Kenya. Through her black-and-white photographs she has supported Dolphin Aid, which provides dolphin therapy for handicapped children. In June 2016, Nomi was distinguished by the international B.A.U.M. –Environmental Special Award 2016 for her life work and her engagement as a photographer in making visible the fragile balance between human beings and nature. In 2021, in high recognition of extraordinary service for the environment, the distinction known as “Green Angel” was awarded to her by Bavaria’s Minister for the Environment, Thorsten Glauber. In 2023, the PURPOSE AWARD of the Donner & Reuschel Bank in the category “Horizons” was presented to her. In 2024, the Christa-Seric-Geiger Prize of the Carl Friedrich Geiger Foundation and the prestigious Upper Bavaria Cultural Prize will be bestowed on her.

He fulfilled that aim at Alain Passard (***Michelin), Jacques Maximin at Ledoyen (**), Elyse Lentre (**), at La Mère Poulard on Mont Saint-Michel and Ladurée Paris at the side of Patrice Hardy and Pierre Herm. He worked in the kitchen at Zebra Square in Monaco, subsequently at Port Palace where he ultimately was awarded his first Michelin star.
His credo remains: “Transcend simplicity and all the forms of elegance.”
When the weather is beautiful you can enjoy lunch in the shade of two magnificent trees at the pool house, and dinner at "La Table de Patrick Raingeard" indoors or else outdoors on the elegant terrace with views over the Mediterranean Sea. Desserts are the

THE HISTORY OF CAP ESTEL
In the year 1900 Frank Harris, a friend and trusted confidante of Oscar Wilde, transformed this rocky strip of coastline to a luxurious watering hole for wealthy winter tourists. Yet it was not until Countess Mary de la Canorge made the successful winning bid at an auction of the domain and re-named it Roc Saphir that the splendid garden containing several unique plant species was created as we know it today. After the death of the owner in 1993, the estate was purchased by South African industrialists in the year 2000, who were determined to restore the Cap to its original exquisite appearance. Talented architects and interior decorators from London created an atmosphere of light which would fit harmoniously into the overall ensemble including the garden and the sea. A cosy yet elegant, luxurious ambience then mixed furniture and modern technology into the composition, stirred in refined details, contemporary paintings and artisanally crafted pieces from Asia designated for expert placement in the monumental bar, the friendly and inviting restaurant, the glass cube of the wine cellar and the comfortable lounge zones.

HOME OF INSPIRATION
A home designed by Aufschnaiter is one thing above all else when the work is completed: it’s you. The Tirolean head-to-toe furnishers create utterly individual rooms with a personality.
FEELING RIGHT AT HOME IS AN EMOTION. IT IS THIS EMOTION TO WHICH WE HAVE DEDICATED ALL OUR EFFORTS.
PROPRIETOR HANS AUFSCHNAITERVast panorama windows combined with a straightforward furnishing concept generate penthouse flair flooded with natural light.
If your home faithfully reflects all the facets of your own personality, a perfect atmosphere for feeling good round-the-clock is generated. From natural sources of light to subtly accentuated lighting, from carefully conceived room planning to individually designed furnishings utilising premium materials and with meticulously dosed decoration – countless factors provide the basis and the final, ultimate touch. They all add up to the indescribable feeling you seek: I am at home here.
ALPINE CHALET STYLE IN ALL ITS FACETS
In this project – the “niksen house” (more on page 74) in Kirchberg/Tirol, construction in the hands of builder TH Immobilien – Aufschnaiter was able to put into play all its strengths and interpret in a brand new way a classic chalet style for the Kitzbühel Alps. Traditional, yes, and progressive, yes, that too. Homey and modern. Well balanced, yet still exciting. The interior harmonises perfectly with the architecture. Exterior and interior meld to form one single unity. Huge panorama windows magically give rise to a penthouse ambience flooded with light which is further enhanced through the clarity of the interior decoration. In rooms with less natural light flooding in, dark woods, deeper hues and shades tend to dominate.
FUNCTIONALITY AND AESTHETICS IN PERFECT BALANCE
The radiant eternal basic material of wood finds expression in a bevy of variations and treatments. As a result of tailor-made production at the company’s own carpentry and joinery workshop, the gems made of wood fit superbly into the overall room concept. Wallpaper, textiles and ornamentationhighlights support the structure, bestow upon the interior that final, ultimate touch. Aufschnaiter masters the art of utilising every last centimetre of space to its zenith, optimally using every iota of space, and bringing functionality and aesthetics into perfect balance through intelligent planning and painstakingly conceived detail solutions. For maximum individuality and the deep feeling of having finally arrived.

The sports car manufacturer Porsche and the Frauscher Shipyard present the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air. The jointly developed electric sports boat with the drive technology of the all-electric Porsche Macan offers outstanding performance, the highest quality and exclusive, timeless design.
THIS BOAT IS A REAL MILESTONE IN THE INDUSTRY. THE ELECTRIC VERSION OF THE FANTOM AIR IS BETTER THAN THE VERSION WITH AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE IN ALL DRIVING CHARACTERISTICS, SUCH AS TOP SPEED, ACCELERATION, AND HANDLING – AND AT THE SAME TIME LOCALLY EMISSION-FREE.
STEFAN FRAUSCHER, MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE FRAUSCHER SHIPYARDUncompromisingly fast and beautiful –the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air
he Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air is based on the Frauscher 858 Fantom Air day cruiser. It retains its 8.67-metre-long and 2.49-metre-wide hull almost unchanged on the outside and therefore also offers space for up to nine passengers. Porsche has adapted and further developed its drive technology designed for road vehicles for use on the water. The Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air uses components of the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) on which the new Macan is based. The electric motor sits in the back of the boat while the controls are housed in a waterproof box emblazoned with the Porsche logo. The lithium-ion battery with a gross capacity of 100 kWh, likewise adopted from the Macan, is also located under the lounge area at the rear end.
POWERFUL E-PERFORMANCE
Similar to on-road vehicles from Porsche, preprogrammed driving modes can be used to select the appropriate drive characteristics depending on the situation. The eFantom offers the Docking, Range, Sport and Sport Plus settings. The modes change the characteristic curve of the throttle response while also featuring different speed limits. The optimum cruising speed is 41 km/h (22 kn). At this speed, a battery charge can be used for cruising for about one hour or about 45 kilometres. When driving in Range mode, ranges of more than 100 kilometres are possible. The top speed is reached in Sport Plus mode and is capped at 85 km/h (46 kn). Typical customer trips with a mix of slow and highspeed travel allow a journey time of two to three hours, depending on the driving profile. “This boat is a real milestone in the industry. The electric version of the Fantom Air is better than the version with an
internal combustion engine in all driving characteristics, such as top speed, acceleration and handling – and at the same time locally emission-free,” says Stefan Frauscher, Managing Director of the Frauscher Shipyard.
PORSCHE DESIGN SIGNATURE
The electric sports boat is not just powered by Porsche. Studio F. A. Porsche was also responsible for the design of the helmstand. The high-gloss black instrument panel sits behind the frameless tinted acrylic glass windscreen. The side ends are designed as winglets – stylistically a nod to the 911 and at the same time are practical grab handles. Five analogue gauges on the upper level of the instrument panel underline the sports car look and provide an overview of the most important data.

AS REFINED AS FINE OLD WINE
“Diogenes” by Helmut Pramstaller has already designed and realised incomparable pieces of furniture and furnishing concepts for countless international clients. In particular, the theme of wineroom and wine cellar for private clients and for hotels, wine estates and retail sales is something the team dedicates itself to with unparalleled passion and competence.
Depending on the architecture which wreathes it, a wine cellar or wine-room by Diogenes is planned in such a way as to meld into the overall building concept, subsequently, of course, temperature controlled or equipped with specially finished climatic wine cabinets. Temperature and moisture are the cutting edge points of quality in storing fine wines. Then, to provide the right atmosphere, LED-lighting which in no way impairs or influences the room temperature.
INTERIOR GEMS FOR THOSE VERY SPECIAL MOMENTS
Of course, wine cellars and wine-rooms realised by Diogenes provide much, much more than perfect wine storage. They are intended to be the focus themselves. “Our creations are gems, they focus on unforgettable interior design, animating anyone who feels the environs to return and feel it some more,” explains Helmut Pramstaller. Materials and execution are coordinated with the architecture through the supporting assistance of builders, architects and Diogenes itself.
Helmut Pramstaller of Diogenes is considered to be a particularly resourceful, imaginative, yet fastidious planner and master who invests all his energy, lifeblood, competence and long years of experience, together with his team, in conceiving and then furnishing wine cellars and wine-rooms.
INIMITABLE SIGNATURE FOR UNPARALLELED FLAIR
Modern wine-rooms, rustic wine cellars, made-to-measure furniture and elegant wine-bottle cabinets by Diogenes combine historic woods from wine casks with other components to form an incomparable signature, one often utilising sandstone or old, hand-pounded bricks for archways, vaulting and floors. Especially charming is the combination of wood with smooth modern elements such as glass, black metal or stainless steel.
“I design unique pieces of furniture in original woods from old wine casks, such things have qualities which are unique and cannot be repeated anywhere. I accompany the development of each individual object all the way from dismantling the old casks to the ultimate finishing of the item. Each and every detail is worked to its absolute pinnacle by me and my specialists. Meticulously selected wine cask wood forms the foundation. The end result depends on the origins – the wine estate and the region where the wine barrels come from. Other influential factors are the size of the cask and the wine which was ripening for years inside it. Those are the things which give each individual piece that comes from our manufacture its character and its own personal history,” explains Helmut Pramstaller.
I DESIGN UNIQUE PIECES OF FURNITURE IN ORIGINAL WOODS FROM OLD WINE CASKS, SUCH THINGS HAVE QUALITIES WHICH ARE UNIQUE AND CANNOT BE REPEATED ANYWHERE.

THE BOSS
Music can strike a note no matter what the listener may be feeling at the moment, making it a highly personal and individualised prism of perspective. While the similarities between music and fashion abound, in this instance, they boil down to the elemental tools and raw materials used to create a spectrum of different styles. For instance, an electric guitar can ignite a laidback vibe or provide a soundtrack for something much more energetic. In the same vein, a key fabric can be used to create something a bit more mainstream, while a variation of it can create an edgy, more rebellious style. That concept of musical versatility drives the story behind the BOSS Spring/ Summer 2024 collections, delivering multitudes of possibilities and wearing occasions.

TAILORED LOOKS AND THE DYNAMIC PERFORMANCE
COLLECTION
CONTAIN NUANCES FROM THE 2000S GERMAN TECHNO SCENE.
WWith a hypothetical timeline that spans decades and genres, the collection uses music as an essential connector. For menswear, inspiration was drawn from a wide range of influences. Tailored looks and the dynamic Performance collection contain nuances from the 2000s German techno scene. These are manifested through a sleek clash of modern suiting and sportier pieces, in addition to bright colourblock styles and a pixel graphic inspired by that era’s album covers. Moreover, the Performance collection contains a selection of new subranges, including Printed Dressletic shirts, padded Air Fill jackets, Stretchletic trousers, Tech Wool suiting, and Storm Bonded outerwear.
The women’s selection mirrors this musically derived concept spanning eras, as seen through power suiting, 90s-inspired slip dresses, bias-cut skirts, and utilitarian outerwear. As summer approaches, the collection implements more muted tones like a buttery pale yellow, and lightweight materials such as linen, with relaxed, slouchy silhouettes. Pinstriped pieces are also featured, in keeping with the brand’s heritage tailoring. This season also marks the first edition of Performance pieces for women, offering form-fitting separates, shaping dresses, and fourstretch fabrics for increased freedom of movement.
LET MUSIC TAKE CONTROL
Inspiration for the men’s BOSS Orange line includes early rap and hip-hop, which can be seen across selected looks with slightly baggier silhouettes and a crisp, elevated construction, juxtaposed with collegiate references and traces of classic Americana. This comes across through smart-casual tailored looks, as well as the introduction of the elevated doubleB logo. Meanwhile a general nineties-rock influence can be seen through the collection’s distressed denim, muted colours, and striped knitwear. A sunny, eye-catching floral print was inspired by the Island Records label, invoking a chilled-out, warm vibe.
BOSS Orange men’s summer styles include acidwash denim, printed T-shirts, colourful shorts and lightweight knitwear. These are complemented by terrycloth and linen separates, coordinated looks, and subtle psychedelic prints. For womenswear, the casual line includes bleached denim styles, indigo floral prints, sheer base fabrics and wool checks, among others. It also showcases printed maxi dresses, longline overshirts, cargo pants, jumpsuits, padded jackets, and cosy knitwear. The selection also ramps up the colour scheme with seasonal hues, chic floral prints, muted denims, and stunning coordinating sets.
FEEL THE LOOK –SPECIAL AS YOU ARE
The BOSS womenswear luxury line also injects a splash of warm tones in the form of suede-finished separates, sharp skirts, and flawless tailored pieces, interspersed with linen and silk fabrics for an exquisite feel. Looks include a healthy dose of distinctive dresses and tailoring for the season’s range of special
occasions. For men, the line includes expertly crafted suits in luxe materials, including wool, silk, and linen, all of which are ideal for warm weather and moments that call for a stepped-up dress code.
ENERGY BOOST
Rounding off the collection, BOSS Green draws inspiration from electronic-music duo DAFT PUNK and delivers a high-energy collection that works just as well with in the gym as in casual everyday settings. Sporty styles are made in mint-green, a variety of cool blues, and a music-frequency-inspired print that stands out in a vibrant orange. Additional accents include perforated and open woven structures, bonding as well highlighted seams that have reflective elements.

HIT THE FUTURE
In the year of its 60th corporate jubilee, Automobili Lamborghini presented the head-to-toe newly developed Revuelto. It is the first super sports car with V12 plug-on hybrid motor, a genuine highperformance automobile which runs on electric power (HPEV).
THE NEW REVUELTO IS A MILESTONE IN THE HISTORY OF LAMBORGHINI AUTOMOBILES AND AN IMPORTANT PILLAR OF OUR ’ELECTRIFYING‘ STRATEGY KNOWN AS DIREZIONE COR TAURI.
STEPHAN WINKELMANN, PRESIDENT AND CEO OF AUTOMOBILI LAMBORGHINI
he Revuelto defines the terms performance, sportiness and driving pleasure in ways never envisioned before, thereby making it the ideal successor of the legendary Aventador. It has created automobile architecture that the world has never seen before, an advanced future-oriented design, a highly efficient aerodynamic vector and an ultra-light carbon body. The interplay of a V12 internal combustion motor which has been newly developed from the ground up and three electric motors makes possible a maximum performance of 1015 HP/746 kW. In the Revuelto for the very first time, Lamborghini additionally combines a twelve-cylinder with a double clutch transmission.
INCOMPARABLE, REVOLUTIONARY VEHICLE
“The new Revuelto is a milestone in the history of Lamborghini automobiles and an important pillar of our “electrifying” strategy known as Direzione Cor Tauri,” explains Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “The Revuelto is a truly unique and revolutionary vehicle, yet still remains loyally attached to our DNA: the V12 remains the icon of our super sports car origin and our tradition. However, we also developed the Revuelto in order to make a certain break with tradition, effect a transformation in which we combine a new twelve-cylinder with three E-motors. Through that step we generate the perfect balance to deliver the desirable emotional thrill, yet reduce emissions nevertheless.”
HIGH PERFORMANCE
The power train unites genuine high-performance components: the new combustor has a specific litre-performance of 127 HP and operates both with the front axial motors through outstanding performance weight and together with the radial motor with the eight-speed double-clutch transmission, as the very first of its type in a twelvecylinder Lamborghini. A lithium-ion high-performance battery with a specific energy density of 4500 W/kg supplies the three electric motors, the battery supplies the power for the purely electric driving modus range. All in all, the new Revuelto provides 13 driving modus variations including a fully electric all-wheel-drive as well as aerodynamics and design for the greatest possible synergy bonding together efficiency, function and style. The new Lamborghini entertainment system, what’s more, delivers an all-encompassing audio experience for driver and passengers.
INDIVIDUAL ONE-OF-A-KINDS
As official authorised dealer, Lamborghini Munich offers an exclusive selection of new automobiles and selected pre-owned cars. Each new automobile is one-of-a-kind, for it has been constructed only upon specific order. In addition, the authorized service location in Munich is operated by automobile technicians trained in Italy and is able to provide a wide range of services.

DISCOVERING THE GEM
SSituated at 34 Bree Street in Cape Town, South Africa, The Artists Gallery stands as a beacon for art enthusiasts. This unique space, co-owned and managed by artists, showcases an inspiring collection of South African art. Visitors to The Artists Gallery may even encounter Jaret Loggenberg, the gallery’s Managing Director and a talented artist in her own right.
Jaret Loggenberg, Managing Director of The Artists Gallery in Cape Town and artist herself says: “There is nothing more rewarding than being part of someone’s success. This gallery brings me incredible joy and working with my fellow artists from around the country is so rewarding.”
THE VISIONARY BEHIND THE ART: JARET LOGGENBERG
Born in 1994 on a farm near Parys, South Africa, Jaret Loggenberg discovered her passion for art and culture at the tender age of ten. Her early years were marked by a determination to inspire others, a mission she has pursued with unwavering dedication. Even as a primary school student, Jaret exhibited exceptional drive, waking up at 04.00 a.m. to study, always striving for excellence.
Jaret's fascination with different cultures was sparked during her childhood trips to airports, where she marveled at the diversity of people from around the world. This early exposure fueled her dream of making a global impact through her art.
A JOURNEY OF ARTISTIC MASTERY
Jaret’s journey in art began with encouragement from her mother, who recognised her talent early on and enrolled her in art lessons. At sixteen, she sold her first painting, funding an art tour in Europe – a transformative experience that later saw her own works displayed in the countries she visited. Though she pursued a degree in Economics and Risk Management for its practicality and her love of business, Jaret's passion for art never waned. She spent her free time studying anatomy, captivated by
the intricacies of female faces and figures. Her corporate career was successful, but books like "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" and "The 5 AM Club" inspired her to live life to the fullest through her art.
Primarily self-taught, Jaret honed her skills through various workshops. Her philosophy, "It’s not about being the best – it’s about being better than you were yesterday," underscores her artistic journey.
CRAFTING UNIQUE CREATIONS
Jaret's art draws inspiration from female figures and portraits from diverse cultures. She thrives in environments filled with people and music, believing that imperfections make us uniquely beautiful. Her works feature bold brushstrokes and natural colours, recently accented with bright hues to signify confidence and vitality. Each piece is layered with oil paint, embodying a process of maturation and depth. Jaret embraces the visible brushstrokes and thick textures that give each artwork its distinctive character.
THE IDEAL SPACE FOR ARTISTIC EXPRESSION
Selecting the perfect venue for her art is crucial to Jaret. In 2019, she connected with Barbara Lenhard,
JARET'S ART DRAWS INSPIRATION FROM FEMALE FIGURES AND PORTRAITS FROM DIVERSE CULTURES.
the spokesperson of The Travelling Art Gallery, an initiative for artists from South Africa. This meeting led to exhibitions in Europe, establishing Jaret as a recognised artist with great success. In 2023, she presented her first solo exhibition at Avontuur Wine Estate near Somerset West in the Western Cape, another triumph for this young artist.
In July 2023, Jaret, alongside a group of artists and Barbara Lenhard, launched The Artists Gallery on 34 Bree Street in Cape Town. This gallery not only serves as a platform for her art but also supports fellow South African artists. For Jaret, the joy of seeing an artist's work find a new home and the ability to support their journey is unparalleled.
LOOKING AHEAD: A FUTURE OF ARTISTIC IMPACT
Jaret’s business acumen and passion for art drive her ambition to make a significant impact on artists' lives. She envisions expanding The Artists Gallery to reach a global audience, fostering more connections and opportunities for artists. As she continues to focus on female figures and portraits, Jaret prioritises quality over quantity, creating fewer but exceptional one-of-a-kind artworks each year.
The Artists Gallery on Bree Street is more than a gallery; it’s a testament to Jaret Loggenberg’s vision and dedication to the arts, a space where creativity flourishes and artists find their voices.
“Reckless Love“, 100 x 100 cm, Oil on Canvas, bold brush strokes and palette knife techniques give Jaret Loggenberg's artworks their distinctive look
