Dear Students, This month’s theme is self-worth – a very fluid notion. How can one assess his self-worth without undermining or over exaggerating? Does our self-worth come from people’s perception of us, or from our own checklist of achievements? And should self-worth be based only on achievements? What about our values and stands in life and all the good deeds we are doing? And what about the bad deeds we have committed....? Should they shackle us or should we consider them a result of human frailty that we are all subject to? When you want to know how much you weigh, you go to the scale. But when you want to know how much you are worth, where do you go to??? SELF-worth...I guess you’ll have to go to the SELF That self that keeps evolving, That keeps assessing and reassessing, That keeps adjusting and self-correcting along the way. One thing is for sure though, lose the balance of your self-worth, and you have lost your balance in life. Dear students, may you always know your worth, and may you always live up to it. What can a Creative Mind do with a Can of Red Bull?

Are you interested in sculpting, painting, photography, dress, music, movie, or digital illustration? Now, you can show it to the world and make your creativity knownâ&#x20AC;Ś With just a can of Red Bull! Following the success of Red Bull Art of Can in 2001, the event is back this year and will be giving the talents in Kuwait the chance to go with inspiration to newer heights.

A NATIONWIDE HUNT FOR CREATIVITY To make things just a little more creative, there will be a new category which is introduced for the first time: Digital displayed art. The physical piece of art should include the actual Red Bull can as the primary material in the final work. However, the digital displayed art is a work of art that can be displayed on a screen and should include a digital version of the Red Bull can in the final piece. Red Bull will accept anything in the form of an animation, a digital short film, stop motion, or GIF. The Red Bull Art of Can offers a platform for everyone, regardless of age, who aims to explore his or her creative talent. Artists, students, grandparents and all those in between are invited to submit their works of art. The Red Bull Art of Can is a true expression of one’s imagination, with little or no restrictions placed on the budding artist.

Your primary material/inspiration must be a Red Bull can, but you will need to add plenty of imagination and creativity. Make a sculpture, a picture, a 3D model, a mobile, digital illustration or a piece of modern art, but make it beautiful, colorful, clever or amusing. The project will culminate in a premium art exhibition, where the selected pieces will be displayed and the top three pieces awarded prizes. The judges will select the winners who will be announced on the opening night of the exhibition. The citizens and, more specifically, the students in Kuwait now have a great platform to show their creativity with no limits! What can you do with just a can of Red Bull? After looking at some of the past submissions, you will be pleasantly surprised to see what many others have been able to come up with in the past.

A BIT OF HISTORY The art of creating masterpieces out of Red Bull cans started back in 1999. Exhibitions have been held all around the globe from Europe to New Zealand. Countries like Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Singapore, USA, UAE, Kuwait and many more. This year, Red Bull Art of Can will be taking place in Kuwait only. Be bold and get inspired. Take a look at what others have done – visit www.redbullartofcan.com/gallery Now, it is your turn to show what you are capable of and STUDENTALK knows that there are some exceptionally talented people among us. This is your time to shine! WHEN TO APPLY? The application phase starts on 1st of March and extends to 6 weeks until 16th of April. Later on, the selection of the artworks take place by 25th of May 2016 and June 6th will be the opening of the Exhibition Premiere followed by a two week exhibition open to the public. The closing date for receipt of the finalized works of art is 16th of April 2016. The organizers will afterwards shortlist the entrants qualified to participate in “The Art of Can” exhibition based on creativity, theme and final presentation.

Self-Worth The Value of One's Natural State

Self-worth is defined as “the sense of one’s own value or worth as a person”. It is a term commonly used to show the value of an individual within themselves.

Self-worth is less about measuring yourself based on external actions and more about valuing your worth as a person. It is more focused on who you are rather than what you do. Many people tend to measure themselves based on external factors, which therefore leads them to think less of themselves. People who base their self-worth on external factors usually go through higher levels of anger, stress, and also have more relationship conflicts as well. This is simply because they judge themselves based on what others think, which leads them to have more problems within themselves.

You should always be confident in who you are and what you are able to bring to the table without giving others the chance to make you think any differently.

We have all received negative comments either about how we look or who we are and it has gotten to us, even if some of the things that were said have no truth behind them. You could be a great person in so many aspects but there is no stopping

Yes! But how?

Being able to understand and fully acknowledge your self-worth will alter how you treat others and help you deal with various day-to-day situations. The question that arises here is; is it possible for someone to build their self-worth?

Everyone has an inner critic and that is the first thing that you have to change. You need to stop comparing yourself to others and accept the fact that you are different.

Everyone has their own qualities that make them who they are and you need to accept that not everything said about you is true. We can challenge the inner critic and begin to see ourselves for who we really are, rather than taking on its negative point of view about ourselves. We can differentiate from the ways we were seen by others and begin to understand and appreciate our own feelings, thoughts, desires and values. A true sense of self-worth can also be encouraged by practicing self-compassion. Self-compassion is the practice of treating yourself with the same kindness and compassion as you would treat someone you consider to be a close friend. Here, you should focus on the COAL attitude, which is to be Curious, Open, Accepting, and Loving toward yourself and your experiences. There are three different steps to practicing self-compassion:

• Acknowledge and notice your suffering • Be kind and caring in response to suffering • Remember that imperfection is part of the human experience

any of the activities or interests that you personally find meaningful to you in order to pursue them and build a positive feeling of self-worth.

Adding meaning to your schedule by taking part in activities that you feel are important is another great way to build self-worth. Helping others, for example, offers a huge boost to your sense of self-worth. Volunteering in different activities have shown that it makes people feel better about themselves knowing that they are able to make a difference in someone else’s life. All of us can find meaning in many different ways so you need to think about

Understand the power of attitude to yourself. How you speak about yourself and how you feel about yourself are extremely important in building your own self-worth. There is a very fine line here between humility and being egocentric. Finding the middle ground here will be difficult but the rewards are unimaginable. Acting on your own principles is vital when measuring your self-worth. Be a person of

your word and knowing that you are able to stay true to your own principles, we will add more importance to our self-worth. When your actions don’t end up matching your words, you tend to me more vulnerable to attacks from your inner critic. There are many different ways to measure self-worth. It is extremely crucial to know that you value yourself as a person, rather than allowing others to do it for you. Further, external factors should not affect how you think of yourself or the way you define your abilities. Everyday is a new beginning and today we will begin with a new outlook on what our self-worth is to us.

The AUK Liberation Village Celebrating Kuwait with the IRC

As you hear the sound of prominent music playing in the background, walking into the American University of Kuwait directly put a smile on the faces of the students as they are surrounded by booths and live events keeping them entertained.

To celebrate the National and Liberation Days, the International Relations Club at AUK organized the Liberation Village in order to celebrate the heritage of Kuwait, while taking a break on campus. Vendors displayed their various products, while other booths had delicious meals and desserts that students were able to enjoy throughout the day.

The IRC were also able to organize a number of lectures, which concentrated on Kuwait’s National and Liberation Days as the attendees were able to get a blast from the past with many guests speaking in detail about what happened during the invasion in 1990. Furthermore, we witnessed a great “Kout Tournament” between the students as many

took part in a traditional Kuwaiti card game to show just how good they really are! Music, booths, lectures, and other events made the AUK Liberation Village of 2016 one to remember for the university, the organizers, the students, and even visitors who had the chance to witness everything that was happening.

‫تشارك في الحلقة النقاشية من تنظيم وزراة التربية‬

‫وتابعت الحديث عن البرامج التدريبية وهي مطلوبة من الخريجات‬ ‫كمكمل للبرنامج األكاديمي ليتم تخريجهن‪ .‬تناولت الحلقة‬ ‫النقاشية العديد من المواضيع التي تعنى أيضا بالتخصصات الفنية‬ ‫ونظرة المجتمع لها كشهادة أقل من الشهادات األكاديمية األخرى‬ ‫بينما يعاني سوق العمل من قلة الخريجات في هذه المجاالت‪.‬‬

‫شاركت كلية بوكسهل الكويت في‪ ‬حلقة نقاشية بعنوان‬ ‫“أهمية التعليم المهني والفني في دولة الكويت “ من تنظيم وزارة‬ ‫التربية والتي تناولت مواضيع عن طرق تطوير التعليم الثانوي‬ ‫المهني ‪ ،‬ومعوقات تطبيق المسار الثانوي وغيره من المواضيع‬ ‫التي تخص التحديات التي يواجهها طلبة الثانوية إلختيار التخصص‬ ‫المناسب والذي يتالئم مع ميوله األكاديمية ‪ .‬وقد شاركت فيها‬ ‫عضو هيئة التدريس في قسم الفنون التطبيقية األستاذة عبير‬ ‫العجمي متحدثة عن التخصصات التي توفرها الكلية من إدارة‬ ‫أعمال ‪ ،‬تسويق‪ ،‬وخدمات مصرفية بنوك وركزت على تخصصي‬ ‫الديكور والتصميم الداخلي والتصميم الجرافيكي والتي تنفرد كلية‬ ‫بوكسهل الكويت في تقديمها‪ ،‬وقد خرجت الكلية أكثر من ‪300‬‬ ‫طالبة‪ ‬في هذين التخصصين ‪ ،‬وتكلمت عن تجارب الطالبات مع‬ ‫سوق العمل الكويتي وكيف إستفدن من شهادتهن خاصة أنهما‬ ‫من التخصصات النادرة والمطلوبة في سوق العمل‪.‬‬

‫وكان لطالبات الكلية مشاركة في هذه الحلقة النقاشية حيث‬ ‫عرضن أعمالهن اإلبداعية وبرزن فخرهن كونهن طالبات في‬ ‫كلية بوكسهل الكويت وقد عبرت إحدى الطالبات المشاركات‬ ‫عن دراستها في الكلية حيث شكرت جميع أعضاء هيئة‬ ‫التدريس على تشجيعن لها في تطبيق المواد األكاديمية التي‬ ‫تدرسها من غير إمحاء الناحية اإلبداعية لديها وشكرت باألخص‬ ‫إدارة الكلية على تعاونها المستمر مع الخريجات وحسن‬ ‫اإلستماع الرائهن وافكارهن‪.‬‬

‫وعرفت الحضور عن هذه البرامج األكاديمية وكيف تساعد الكلية‬ ‫طالباتها على الدراسة العملية وليس فقط األكاديمية حيث توفر‬ ‫لهن الفرصة على خوض مشاريع مع جهات عديدة في مجالهن‬ ‫األكاديمي ومسابقات تساعدهن على إستعمال المهارات الفنية‬ ‫في طريقة مبتكرة وعملية ابرزها المسابقة التي إشتركن فيها‬ ‫طالبات التصميم الجرافيكي التي نظمتها السفارة األسترالية في‬ ‫الكويت وقد تم تكريم الطالبات الفائزات من قبل الوزير األسترالي‬ ‫ريتسارد كولبيك‪.‬‬

‫وما يميز كلية بوكسهل الكويت والتى هي الكلية الوحيدة الخاصة‬ ‫للبنات في الكويت هوتشجيعها الدائم طالباتها ودعمها المستمر‬ ‫لهن ولإلشارة يتكون قسم الفنون التطبيقية والتصميم من‬ ‫تخصصات التصميم الداخلي والديكور والتصميم الجرافيكي‬ ‫وتصميم المواقع الإللكترونية وهي قد ممدت برنامجها الدراسي‬ ‫للفترة المسائية في تخصص الديكور والتصميم الداخلي والتي‬ ‫تؤهل الطالبة لكسب المزيد من المهارات النظرية والعملية التي‬ ‫تساعدها في تطوير حياتها المهنية بوقت يتالئم مع الوظيفة‪.‬‬

ACK Student - Maryam Omar Checking Off her List One by One!

At 22-years-old, Maryam Omar has been able to achieve many different things and now prepares to embark on another journey as she gets ready to go and do her Masters in Australia after receiving the scholarship from the Australian College of Kuwait.

When Maryam was 16, she began a checklist of everything that she wanted to accomplish and has been able to achieve her goals with time. She studied Civil Engineering at ACK and has been working as a Structural Engineer for two years as her plan was to try and save up enough money to travel to Australia and begin working on her Master’s Degree. With all the hard work coming her way, she has not forgotten about her true passion for the sport Cricket as she continues to lead the Kuwait National Women’s Cricket Team as well! ACK has helped her develop her social skills as her field of study required her to work in groups constantly and therefore she has learnt how to present herself well and work with others efficiently. Her memories of ACK remain close to her heart and it’s very clear to see her excitement when she mentioned, “I would recommend ACK to anyone!” “I had dreams to do my Masters in Australia and it was one of my main goals ever since I graduated from ACK. I started saving up.” Maryam saw a

post by ACK about a Scholarship program and she was one of the students who were able to go to Australia with all tuition expenses paid by the university! Sarj has been known for various projects that he worked on throughout his career and he now finally prepares to release an album that many have been waiting for. STUDENTALK sat with him to know more about his past and his plans for the upcoming year.

Tell us a little more about yourself My name is Sajid but everybody knows me as “Sarj”. I’m originally from India but I was born and raised here in Kuwait. I’m a singer, guitarist, music producer, sound engineer and graphics designer. How did you get into music? There was always music playing at my house. Back in the early 80’s my family shared an

apartment with my grandmother, two uncles and an aunt; so at any given time I would hear either Bollywood, Pop/Dance or Rock/Metal music playing. Also, my uncles were musicians so their friends and band mates always hung out at the house listening to music, jamming etc. They took me to every concert they performed at and that for me was a whole new dimension of experiencing

music as it was being performed live and loud right in front of me. To sum up, I got exposed to a lot of music from a very early age so it was only natural that it became an integral part of me! What is your past in regards to music? Back in 2000, I got an opportunity to be the lead singer for my uncle’s band ‘RevelerZ’ and

I can list all whom I idolize but I’ll need another page of the magazine! What can we expect for the future? I’m finally going to release the Nocturna album. It’s been 10 years since I wrote and recorded the album and now that 2016 marks the 10 year anniversary I think it’s the right time! As a producer/engineer; I’m currently working with Omar Afuni on his new album, releasing this summer, and as soon as I finish mixing the album I’ll immediately start working with Ghaneema Al-Qudmani on her debut EP. I have a few other projects lined up that I can’t talk

Startup Kuwait National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Challenge

Startup Kuwait National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Challenge launched February 2016 with 5 participating universities, namely KU, GUST, AUK, ACK, and BHCK. In February, March, April and May, Startup Kuwait would be inviting entrepreneurs (local, regional, international) and business leaders to share their experiences and attend the business plan competitions at each college (ending in April). During the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Challenge, the best teams ideas will be chosen from different universities by the juries (local, regional and international) and then advance to compete nationally in May. Students participating in Startup Kuwait experienced a very productive month in February. The students attended a wellreceived workshop in regards to the essence of Startup Kuwait, and the importance of knowledge economy and entrepreneurship on macro and micro scales. The students also participated in the Idea Generation Workshop which gave them the opportunity to share and fine-tune their ideas and simultaneously receive feedback from their peers. Mr. Nish Acharya Citizence Mr. Nish Acharya, CEO of Citizence and former lead advisor to President Obama on innovation and entrepreneurship, recently visited Kuwait for two weeks to support the Startup Kuwait program. During this period, Nish presented to students and faculty at all five universities participating in Startup Kuwait, including Kuwait University, BHCK, ACK, AUK, and GUST. Over 600 students discussed their entrepreneurial ideas, and were helped, through professional training exercises, to focus their ideas into actionable plans. For Acharya, the trip confirmed that Kuwait has tremendous entrepreneurial potential, and that with the proper training, entrepreneurship programs and support from mentors and investors, the region can launch many startups with global potential. Mr. Acharya stated his expertise and network commitment to the success of Startup Kuwait and his planned future visits during next few months.

Moreover, as part of Startup Kuwait speaker series Mr. Essa Behbehani, the creator of Choowy Goowy shared his entrepreneurial expertise and the importance of turning setbacks to future opportunities with BHCK faculty and students. Commenting on the progress of STARTUP Kuwait: Dr. Redha Behbehani The Global Center We are very pleased with the broader participation as the numbers of teams combined from paticipating universities are over 100+. Dr. Arezou Harraf BHCK Box Hill College Students were very inspired by the presentations and workshops held in February and BHCK looks forward to Startup Kuwait March activities and competition in April and May!

Dr. Mohammed Elian GUST Reiterating GUST’s commitment to the development of Kuwait’s knowledge economy, Dr. Mohammed Elian, Dean of College of Business Administration at GUST pointed out that since 2007, GUST is conducting the Practicum in Business/MIS, which is a unique program aimed at equipping students with the tools needed to succeed on their entrepreneurial journey. He further said: “We are happy to support any initiative aimed at empowering our youth to become useful contributors to Kuwait’s economic and social growth”. Dr. Jin Wang AUK Dr. Wang, the Dean of the College of Business and Economics at the American University of Kuwait stated that AUK aspires to become internationally recognized for its missioncentered and market-relevant programs, innovative and experiential approach to

teaching and learning. “We are excited to join the Startup Kuwait Competition and believe this will be an inspiring and exciting opportunity for our students to learn experientially about entrepreneurship from faculty, Kuwaiti entrepreneurs, and experts from around the world.” Dr. Sam Toglaw ACK Dr. Sam, Head of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit at ACK, explained that Since the launch of “Startup Kuwait”, ACK took proactive steps to incorporate the competition in some units taught in the degree program. Artspace is a visionary concept in Kuwait, pioneered by a team dedicated to artistic expression. Every aspect of Artspace has been carefully curated to help you explore art as a personal talent, and shape your own artistic voice.

Project Name: Gold Leaf Abstract Art Level: Beginner/ Intermediate Duration: 2 hours What you’ll need: • Canvas (Size of your choice) • PVA glue (also known as White Glue) • Acrylic Paint • Gold Leaf (Extremely thin sheet of Gold that comes in different shades and found mostly in art supply stores, usually comes in as a pack of 24 sheets.) • Paper Towel sheet • Water Cup • 1 medium brush for paint • 1 medium brush for glue

Use a medium brush dipped in glue and apply it randomly on the canvas where you want your gold leaves to be. No rules here, just swirl your glue around different areas.

Gently start applying the gold leaf on the glue surfaces. This stuff is FUN and flimsy and gets flakes everywhere, so try to be delicate and careful while using it.

Using a paper towel sheet (from your kitchen counter), or just a tissue paper, gently shake off the excess gold leaf. (You might want to save the excess for future projects).

*Tip: if this step sounds easy and fun, so is the rest of the project!

Before proceeding with this step, make sure your glue is fully dry and your gold leaves are well glued in place.

Repeat step 4 until all of the white areas around your gold leaves are painted.

Pick your favorite color scheme and randomly start painting blocks of colors around the gold leaves. Also, there is no specific rule for this abstract art painting, just enjoy the process and freedom of it.

While going through with this process, it is totally fine if you get paint on parts of your leaves. Let yourself go and again keep enjoying the process without worrying about any mistakes.

For this step, your canvas needs to be dry. You can either wait for it to dry (about 30 mins), or you can use your regular hair dryer on “cold”. After that, apply a “wet white wash” over the canvas avoiding the golden leaves. To do so, dip your brush with equal amount of white paint and water and repaint your surface. *The “wash” technique is one of the many other techniques used in art to create a smooth and uniform surface.

To create a more dramatic look, you can add white and metallic paint splashes (or any colors of your choice for that matter).

FALKEN V-KOOLTM Racing Team Participating in the International 12Hr Endurance Go Karting Event

Falken Tires from AUTO1 (Al Ghannam Tires Company w.l.l) promoted the one and only all women’s V-KOOL™ Racing Team to participate in the recently concluded International 12-Hr Endurance Go Karting event held at the Sirbb Circuit, Kuwait City. While the podium was elusive for the 3-member ladies’ team, they proved that they are as good as their male compatriots in terms of commitment, persistence and sportsmanship. From the get go, the FALKEN V-KOOL™ Racing team made sure that their driver on the track stayed focused on the race not withstanding body tiredness and race fatigue normal for such races and would be relieved only during a driver change every 2 hours; while their fellow team member who watching from the stands provided regular updates on the number of laps completed and the competition. According Ms. Sara Al Shaban, ‘though we didn’t come out with a position but just having the opportunity to participate and learn from the best was totally worth it’. That positive vibe combined with her consistent performance during the 12-Hrs earned her the ‘Best Driver’ Award. The twin sisters Rabaa & Rawya Al-Hajri were equally enthusiastic after the 12-Hr grueling race with as they came out to smiles and cheers for the winning compatriots. Nevertheless, the team has embarked on continuing their training sessions so as to stay ready for the next big opportunity that would be coming up soon. For V-KOOL™ (AUTO1) to extend their support to this exciting venture was the sporting passion of these women to fight it out it in a predominantly male oriented race that clearly resonated with its core product feature of continuous heat repelling performance of a window film to the sun’s heat. ''Did You Enjoy Your Dish, Gentlemen?'' A Play by PavolSeris

The group was founded in 1971. It performed in more than 60 countries on the Arab and international levels, including Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union at that time, Burkas Festival in Bulgaria, and Akrzintovy Festival in Italy where it won the first prize and received the Hercules Golden Temple as a reward. It presented a significant performance at the United Nations building in New York in 1980, and another performance dedicated to friendship and peace at the UNESCO in Paris; in addition to performances in China and Japan. The Group also participated in various Arab festivals including Jerash Festival in Amman, Carthage Festival in Tunisia, Muscat Festival for Arts and Culture in the Sultanate of Oman, Folk Arts Festival in Rabat, and made several appearances in Lebanon and Algeria. The group’s performances are inspired from the Iraqi and Arab folk arts and the group works to preserve the authenticity of this genre. ABOUT THE COMEDIAN: PavolSeris PavolSeriš is a young Slovak comedian and a graduate of the Janácek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. He studied physical theatre, and is now continuing as a PhD student. He writes his own plays and often performs in Slovakia, Czech Republic and other international countries. Poseidon is a swim program that started in June 2013 as the Poseidon family has served a total of 500 members so far as they provide professional swim classes for various levels whether it’s entry level, intermediate, or advanced. Poseidon also has a triathlon team that participates in a dozen of races all over the world.

Swimming is a very safe way to get in shape for beginners who have no previous experience in sports as it does not only tone your muscles but also helps strengthen your bones, especially at an advanced age. Swimming became a phenomenon after it was included in triathlons, endurance races and even Crossfit. Many people turn to swimming as rehabilitation for injuries since it helps you exercise most of your body parts without straining your joints or, of course, just for simply being able to enjoy the water! Being given a large transfer amount, he will definitely do everything he can to bring in the correct player for his vision. Having said that, let’s take a look at why Manchester City decided to fight for Pep. • Guardiola was Barcelona’s most successful manager with 14 trophies in four years. • Took a year’s break before joining Bayern Munich in 2013, following the club’s Champions League, Bundesliga and German Cup treble under Jupp Heynckes. • Won the league twice in his two full seasons with Bayern as he is yet to win the Champions League with the German club and has been knocked out at the semi-final stage twice. These three points are very important to look at if you’re thinking why City decided to go for this manager. Guardiola will want to show that he can make it in the rough atmospheres of the English Premier League and it makes complete sense that he has chosen to go with Manchester City. The Spaniard demands full control and that is exactly what they’re willing to give him. Even though Manchester City have improved drastically in the Premier League, their performances in the UEFA Champions League have been disappointing to say the least. The start of every season is quite entertaining as all the fans get ready for a full year of celebration, drama, and sitting in front of their screens to watch their favorite teams. Almost every season, there is this one “small” team who would always do well in the beginning but eventually fall under the pressure. It was supposed to be Leicester City… But it wasn’t.

It’s a process that started with their manager, Claudio Ranieri, and continued through the outrageous feats of ex-Fleetwood striker Jamie Vardy and winger Riyad Mahrez, who four years ago was playing for Le Havre’s second string. No matter how the rest of this season goes, there is no denying that it will definitely be a season to remember for Leicester City with the cherry on top being Jamie Vardy scoring in 11 consecutive Premier League games, surpassing Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record. From non-league to topflight top scorer is an incredible achievement. A crucial note to keep in mind is that Leicester City also have no distractions. They’re out of the FA Cup and Capital One Cup and aren’t involved in any European competition. Like Liverpool two seasons ago, they can keep their players fresh and focus solely on their week-toweek Premier League challenges. Their brand of pace and directness is not fashionable but it has brought devastating results when matches have opened up. It is also important to keep a close eye on the manager, Claudio Ranieri, who has made just 13 changes to his starting line-up this season. His reward for consistency is a team that has made more interceptions than any other in the Premier League. Only Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Paris St-Germain have scored more top-tier goals across the continent. Ranieri has expertly taken pressure off his side so far by declaring his simple focus of staying in the league. One major point that would be working against them until the end of the season is that none of their current players are experienced enough to be fighting such a massive battle. Furthermore, Claudio Ranieri has never won a top-tier title in his career as a manager either. The importance of experience cannot be ignored as we have seen it either make or break teams so many times in the past. Having mentioned that, history plays in their favor. In each of the last eleven English Premier League, the team that were leading the race by Christmas, ended up winning the league in May! Chelsea (04/05; 05/06; 09/10; 14/15), Manchester United (06/07; 07/08; 08/09; 10/11; 12/13), and Manchester City (11/12; 13/14) have all been ahead by the end of December and found themselves carrying the trophy at the end of the season! “I don’t want to wake up,” Ranieri said after the victory over Chelsea. “I want to continue to dream with our fans.” They are not the only ones dreaming. The whole club is dreaming of a fairytale ending to this season and they are well on their way to making it happen. I expect that nothing will be confirmed until the very last day of the season but, until then, Leicester City and their fans need to try their best not to get ahead of themselves. It’s going to be extremely difficult especially towards the final games of the season but they will need to do everything in their power to make it happen.

The biggest name that people now have an eye on is Leonardo DiCaprio after he has received two awards so far for his role in “The Revenant” and he is now targeting his long-awaited Oscar. Landmark Group Announces Winners of ''Art Olympiad IX''

Landmark Group announced the awarded talented students at the ninth Art Olympiad held this year. The event witnessed the participation of 180 students from 18 well reputed schools across Kuwait.

Famous Kuwaiti artists Asad Bunashi, Maha Al Mansoor and Mariam Al Mulla judged all participating paintings and have selected a total of eight winners at the end of the event. All wining paintings were selected on the basis of creativity, workmanship and overall impression.

The 9th Art Olympiad event is part of Landmark Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy to elevate the capabilities and skills of youth in Kuwait. The event is seen as a training platform for these students by helping them improvise their flair and encourage their innovative ability through Art.

Who supported your talent? Everyone did and my friends were amazing throughout the whole time. Even when I was still in the beginning stages of playing, they kept pushing me and supporting me through it all. Did you encounter any obstacles? Reading notes was one of my main obstacles because it was very difficult for me. With time though I learnt how to and it has become a lot easier. Any last words for the readers? Thoughts? Featuring George Clooney, “Hail, Caesar!” was already a movie that had a lot to live up to. With that said, it has not failed to impress. The film has done quite well so far in the Box Office and has been able to grab the attention of many. “Hail, Caesar!” follows a single day in the life of a studio fixer who is presented with plenty of problems to fix.

Thoughts? “Zoolander 2” is more directed towards the younger generation. Having said that, it hasn’t lived up to its name as many were eagerly awaiting the sequel to “Zoolander”, which was a film that many have fallen in love with. Directed by Ben Stiller, this movie is a comedy that finds the beloved model Derek Zoolander and his rival-turned-partner Hansel facing a threat to their continued success.

Thoughts? “Deadpool” lived up to its promise quite impressively as it’s fast-paced action and witty jokes grabbed the attention of many! It tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
