Gun Mattsson was born and lives in Stockholm, Sweden. She started her artistic career 1986 – at that time frequently with miniatures, later growing. Her pictures come spontaneously to her. She paints directly without sketching. The dreamlike meditative paintings seem to be scanning the global and also her private world at special moments at the same time. It is said that her art has features of russian art - Kandinsky, Chagall – also french fauvism, german avantgarde and italian futurism. Anyhow belief in reincarnation and interest in trance physic science play a most significant role in her artistic flow. Favorite techniques are oil, acrylic, gouache, aquarelle and graphic art. She has exhibited in Art Galleries, Museums and at Biennales in Canada, USA, Latin America, Asia, Australia, Africa and many countries in Europe. Ha iniziato la sua carriera artistica nel 1986 - in quel periodo spesso con le miniature, poi crescendo artisticamente. Le sue opere nascono spontaneamente. Dipinge direttamente senza disegnare. I dipinti meditativi onirici sembrano scansionare il mondo esterno e anche il suo mondo privato in momenti speciali allo stesso tempo. Si dice che la sua arte abbia caratteristiche dell'arte russa - Kandinsky, Chagall - anche il fauvismo francese, l'avanguardia tedesca e il futurismo italiano.
