A DESIGN FOR LIFE

For the past decade, Designerjuice has worked with local and international clients with two bases of operation within the UK.

DesignerJuice is situated at Brunel House in Cardiff, the other at the prestigious Edward Pavilion, Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool. The business originally started life as a focused web design company from a box room at my parents' house in the South Wales valleys in Abercarn, mainly working with a small number of clientele and businesses. Now outgrowing original expectations and expanding out to companies, both nationwide and international, it's quite surreal to think how much things have grown. The Company now has a large international client base, delivering projects to customers in 23 different countries to date. This ranges from the US, The Middle East and even Japan, with a large base in Europe. This type of outreach gave the company leverage which allowed the expansion of our services beyond a typical British business model. Drawing in from multiple countries, the company became very cultured, good design talks any language.

Starting a tech business in the South Wales valleys wasn’t easy at the beginning. People didn't understand new ideas back home, the council had little to no business support for the type of business I envisioned. Getting stood up by the local business support rep from the local Council was the last straw. “I was left waiting in a coffee shop with a coffee opposite me getting cold that I bought as a kind gesture and I had barely enough money to pay for it, no one came for me”. The decision was made to dig deep and sort things out. If there's any time to believe in yourself, it's always now.

In 2017, Designerjuice worked with Fiverr.com. Taking part in events and community team travelling around the UK. The event started at Google’s headquarters in London, we hosted panels providing advice to businesses and business owners. This continued to Manchester and then Ireland. “I was hosting the events with Brent Messenger (Head of Marketing for President Obama)”.

Today we provide a lot of services you don't get in a typical design studio. We offer media and video production along with our web development services. Some of our clients include TV personalities, such as BBC’s ‘The Apprentice’ stars along with ‘Master Chef’ winners and redcarpet celebrities. "Thank you for the follow on Twitter, Obama". Although the Company has been based in Liverpool, we divide our time working with businesses in South Wales. With the projected growth of the business for 2022,

Designerjuice has plans on expanding the branch in Cardiff. It's been a long-awaited plan to have a larger presence in South Wales where it all began. We encourage anyone to reach out if they feel we can assist in business development, brand and strategy.

Hey Guys, My name is Shelma Dei, my love for food stems from my childhood and also being rather fussy when it comes to food. Shelma Dei shares her ‘Pho Ga’ recipe

Baby it’s cold outside… During the past few months the british weather has been some what gloomy with rain ,wind and cold temperatures making an appearance every chance it can get. So much that it would make you want to pick up your suitcase and head to a hot & sunny location like Jamaica or Bali. Unfortunately due to the pandemic it isnt that easy to just get up and go. So I thought to myself what can I do to cheer myself up? Of course I thought of cooking and making something that was hot , spicy and of course very tasty. I wanted something that warmed me up , somthing filling but not heavy. Pho Ga came to mind i neber realised how simple the process was until I took a stab and had a go at creating my version of the famous Vietnamese dish. Happy cooking !

METHOD

1 Take a small saucepan add the oil and gently saute the onion and ginger for a couple of minutes until golden. Set aside.

2 Clean and rinse the chicken in cold water, remove excess fat and roughly cut into four pieces. 3 In a large pot place the chicken and top with enough cold water to cover the chicken. Add the onions, ginger, spices, fish sauce and salt. 4 Bring to a boil and then simmer over a low heat uncovered for 25 minutes. Discard any scum that comes to the surface.

5 Check the chicken is cooked, remove with tongs and set aside for shredding into bite sized pieces

6 Add the bones back into the broth and simmer (don't let boil) for another 25 minutes to 60 minutes if time permits.

7 Meanwhile prepare any fresh vegetables and cook the rice noodles according to the packet, do not over cook.

9 Assemble the cooked noodles into bowls. Top with the shredded chicken. Pour the chicken broth evenly over each bowl. Top with carrot, mung beans, fresh herbs and fresh chili as desired.

Serve with a lime wedge and chilli sauce if desired

Headline performer 90s RnB legend Shola Ama ensured that our guests were in for a real treat.

Against the luxurious backdrop of the Parkgate Hotel, a drinks reception and a succulent three course meal raised money in aid of MAS App, an innovative new app designed to locate defibrillators and promote equality and awareness via local businesses.

Presenter and baby columnist Polly James hosted our gala and was on hand to keep the night flowing. Shola Ama gave everyone 90s nostalgia by performing ‘You might need somebody’ along with her other chart-topping favourites, and live DJs brought everyone to their feet. The night was also extra special thanks to Laings Jewellers, who provided goodie bags for guests and a special diamond giveaway prize for guessing how many tiny glass beads were in a cocktail glass, with all proceeds also going to MAS App. A huge thank you to the talented team at Doctor Bobs Balloons Unlimited, who ensured the décor was out of this world. Doctor Bob worked relentlessly to ensure each centrepiece detail was tastefully executed, and the black and gold balloon arch, leading into the seating area truly wowed our guests. The black and gold themed balloons were truly mesmerising, and all the tables had the added luxury of LED light-up centrepieces.

There was no shortage of delights for those with a sweet tooth, thanks to KB Event Styling and Balloons who provided a dazzling glitter wall along with a charming sweet cart for guests to pick their own delicacies. All in all, a fun filled night and very much needed after more than a year of hospitality uncertainties. We look forward to hosting more events via our sister brand Style Nights.
