easoned developer Glenn Jacks has been developing high-end residential communities since 1980 and recently launched his home builder concierge company Groundswell. Real Estate pro Bobby Johnson first got into the business 18 years ago and is now the proud owner of 30A Local Properties. Two years ago, these experts put their heads together to create homes for very specific buyers whose presence they saw growing in the marketplace of iconic 30A. Seeking gorgeous ocean views, direct beach access, and room for more expansive yards and ample parking together the duo set out to develop homes that would provide options not available in a planned community. “We heard so many people say, ‘The planned communities are beautiful, but they just don’t work for me. I want more space, more view, less congestion. I can’t find a beautiful home outside of those communities, so I’m stuck.’ It was evident to us that there are families who want high style and high quality, but not necessarily in one of the tightly constrained planned communities.” -GJ
There will always be a need for cute beach cottages, but more sophisticated buyers have arrived here and they are looking for more. They want grander lifestyle homes with larger indoor/outdoor spaces, spectacular views, more room for kids to play, private courtyards, sumptuous pools, the list goes on and on.
