CELEBRITY SOUP
Most Anticipated Celebrity Weddings of 2013! By Alyssa Thomann
> Spring is a time of rebirth and new life- the world’s way of giving itself a fresh start. Thanks to Mother Nature, as we feel the earth starting anew, we join in as we start our new adventures and endeavors. It is no wonder why spring is the season for marriage. Marriage is a new beginning for two people so why not celebrate that time of your life while the Earth itself is starting its own new beginning. The year of 2013 is a year filled with some of the most anticipated celebrity weddings with some of our most beloved celebrity couples. We have all been waiting for the day Hollywood’s darling, Jennifer Aniston ties the knot. Again. Her first marriage to Brad Pitt for five years was not her fairytale ending. Brad and Jennifer seemed to be
STYLETOME.COM
the perfect Hollywood couple but five years after their marriage and after seven years together, they publicly separated before Jennifer filed for divorce. We’re counting on new fiancée, Justin Theroux, to be her knight in shining armor and give Jennifer the happy-ever-after she most certainly deserves. As one of the most sweetest, funniest, and beautiful women of Hollywood, it is no wonder why Justin is so infatuated with Jen. He has even written a song for her for their wedding day making this even more of a spectacle to look forward to this year. So cross your fingers! Beautiful Keira Knightley and co-vocalist and keyboardist of the Klaxons, James Righton, are engaged to be married after their 15 month

long relationship. 27-year-old Keira and 28-year-old James were introduced by fellow British star, Alexa Chung. It seems she made the right choice as these two have been spotted on the streets of New York with “eyes for no one but each other.” The two lovebirds are so smitten, Keira has been hinting at a possible career change in her future. She explains she loves her job and realizes how lucky she is to have it, but also admits she would love a career that would allow her more time at home with her husband-to-be. This is one wedding to look forward to this year because the sooner the marriage the sooner the children. And we all know these two will have one heck of a beautiful baby! Avril Lavigne and fiance, Chad Kroeger, singer of Nickelback, have been together since February 2012. After secretly dating for six months, Kroeger popped the question and the two cannot stay away from each other
as Avril has clearly proven during Nickelback’s recent tour to Australia. Lavigne could not bear to be parted from her beau so she tagged along to support him and the band putting the wedding planning on hold. However, Avril is no rookie when it comes to wedding planning. She was formerly married to Sum 41 front man, Deryck Whibley, so she is quite the professional when it comes to planning a rock and roll wedding day. Kroeger admits that the bride-tobe will be taking the bull by the horns and calling the shots in regards to the wedding. Chad explains that she has great ideas and the world should be prepared for the most unique wedding this planet has ever seen. Parents-to-be, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, may have a bit more of a unique wedding plan than most. I mean, she is still technically married to Kris Humphries. Marriage IS in the cards for the loving new couple, just not necessarily right away. They
::
both admit they are in no rush, their baby is the most important thing to worry about right now. Kim explains that she knows that her man is The One, but she does not need a ring on her finger to prove that to the world. Maybe I am jumping the gun here, this is no wedding to anticipate happening anytime soon or even this year, for that matter. All I know is, it is one to look forward to in the (hopefully) near future! <

Discover Your Happily Ever After at Kimpton’s Vero Beach Hotel & Spa
> A bride’s big day is one of the most important moments of her life and every couple wants that day to feel perfect and be forever memorable. In recent years couples have achieved this by turning away from traditional chapel weddings and embracing some that are more unique instead. Many have found that unique, perfect wedding at one very special destination. The Vero Beach Hotel and Spa, a Kimpton Hotel, is located along the white, sugar soft sands of Vero Beach, just a two-hour drive from Orlando. Here, creating your fairytale wedding is as easy as saying “I do.” Their onproperty wedding planner, Nikki Estes, will take all wedding worries off your shoulders and allow you to sit back, relax and have a beautiful, unforgettable wedding that won’t cost you a single gray hair. Estes has been working at the Vero Beach Hotel & Spa for 6 years and doing weddings for 4. She has personally planned over 300 weddings at the hotel and looks forward to many more.

“It’s so much fun. You get to meet so many different, interesting people and make new relationships. I still have brides who talk to me and email me from two years ago. I get to use my imagination and my creativity. It’s so amazing to see people’s days and dreams come to life. I’ve been doing it for so many years and I still tear up or cry every time there’s a ceremony. It’s about seeing the differences in people who are really in love and being a part of their day and just making it amazing for them.” (Estes) With Estes as your wedding planner and Kimpton’s Vero Beach Hotel & Spa as your location, you and your wedding will be in perfect hands. Your venue concerns will be put to ease with the AAA Four Diamond award-winning hotel. Spacious indoor and outdoor venues overlook a panoramic view of the ocean that will provide every couple with a beautiful backdrop and unforgettable photo ops on their special day. They have a handle on much more than just your venue
concerns though. When it comes to making the dining decisions for your wedding, any couple will be at a lost for choices here. The sophisticated Cobalt Restaurant by Kimpton is located on property and offers a variety of personalized catering packages that will satisfy any appetite. Their lead chef, Michael Van Buskirk, has been working at Cobalt for 4+ years and passionately told us about their commitment to quality. “We’re one of the only places that do a lot of really sustainable food and stand behind our local farmers. We pride ourselves on a very straightforward approach on cooking. When you see what’s on your plate, you should be able to identity what those flavors are. I want the impact to be, ‘Wow, that’s a really fresh piece of fish’ or ‘Wow, I can really tell that vegetable is organic.’ We don’t want to just hand you something and say ‘Here, eat.’ We want it to be something special and for you to know that a lot of care was put into it.” (Van Buskirk)
TRAVEL ‘N STYLE
The customer service at both Cobalt and the hotel’s other on-property restaurant, Heaton’s Bar & Grill, is outstanding. Skillful cooking, creative dishes and an impressive wine list will please everyone who’s come to be apart of your big day. You’ll have a blast choosing between all the options for special ceremonies, receptions, your rehearsal dinner or brunches with your wedding party. Kimpton is driven on making great guest experiences, making lasting impacts and creating unforgettable memories. “We can be flexible and creative with the menus, we can customize anything and our staff is honestly amazing. They’re fun, they’re friendly, they’re not stuck up. We’re a four diamond resort that you can feel at home with.” (Estes) But of course there’s much more that goes into your wedding then just the venue and catering. A bride, her groom and their wedding party need to look good for those perfect oceanfront photos. Fortunately the hotel’s White Orchid Spa has got you and your guest covered. At this full service spa located on property, a team of specialist will tend to your every beauty and relaxation need. From massages and skin care to hair and makeup, you and your wedding guest will leave White Orchid feeling incredibly refreshed and rejuvenated. Bridal packages for White Orchid can even help to keep the celebration going long after the ceremony has ended. From the valet attendant who opens the door when you arrive to the front desk clerk who checks you out and wishes you a wonderful day. Everybody you encounter at Vero Beach Hotel & Spa will show you true, genuine care. This type of hospitality is lost at too many other hotels and resorts. Just some of the many amenities at the Vero Beach Hotel & Spa include a hosted evening wine hour, a heated oceanfront pool, a private beach, a fitness center and much more. Between the hotel and the many Vero Beach attractions, you won’t have time to be bored. They have a variety of comfortable, spacious designer guest rooms perfect for every wedding guest and sophisticated suites for a soon-to-be-bride or a secluded destination honeymoon. Planning a wedding is an incredible, special experience. It shouldn’t happen just anywhere or be left in just anyone’s hand. If you’re looking for that unique, trusted, un-

forgettable wedding venue then consider Vero Beach Hotel & Spa.With Estes by your side, it’ll be an event to remember not just as the day you said “I do” but as the day when all your wedding dreams came true. “I find it honestly rewarding,” says Estes, “to be able to see people and make their day. They’ll be in tears saying, ‘Thank you so much! The day was perfect. It’s all I ever wanted and you made it happen and it couldn’t have happened without you.’ It’s just so rewarding to know that I did that for someone. I couldn’t come to work everyday and do the same thing. When there are weddings, it’s always something new and it’s never boring.” If you have any remaining doubts as to why the Vero Beach Hotel & Spa and Cobalt Restaurant, a Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant, could be a picturesque location for your future wedding, check out a few excerpts from actual ‘thank you’ cards to Nikki Estes: Dear Nikki – Thank you so much for everything you have done! You are truly amazing – I’m so happy we found you and Vero Beach Hotel and Spa! We love you! The wedding was everything we dreamed it would be! Xoxo Nikki, words could not express how truly grateful we are to you. You made our wedding perfect, and it fit who we are. Thank you for all of your help over the last almost year, and for always being so quick to respond to our million questions. This wedding without a doubt couldn’t have happened without your help. We will never forget all that you’ve done for us.Thanks again! Thank you for all of your wonderful help in making our wedding day such a wonderful success! HEALTH & BEAUTY
> Planning for a wedding can be a very stressful, yet very exciting time of your life. Once the invitations are mailed, the venue booked and food ordered you can shift the focus onto yourself. We have prepared a checklist to help you with the week before your trip down the aisle that covers body, mind, and beauty. Day one: Start drinking water
Day Five: Wax
We all know the wonders of drinking water can do for our body, and this is the time you definitely want to be doing that. Specialists say about eight glasses a day should do the trick, and this is a habit that can help your body look and feel amazing! Drinking more water and eliminating sodas and other sugary drinks can eliminate extra belly bloat and it can make your skin and hair look and feel healthier.
Whoever said ‘attaining beauty was painful’ was definitely thinking about waxing. Day five would be perfect to get this done, whether it’s only your eyebrows or everything in between, you don’t want to look puffy or red on your wedding day and making sure you have two days for swelling and redness to disappear.
Day Two: Begin a face cleansing ritual
At this point, just a day away from saying your vows, you should have a good idea of what you want your nails to look like. On the sixth day is a great day to relax and get a manicure and pedicure. This way you are close enough to your wedding day that you are not likely to chip them.
This would be a great time to begin washing your face every night before bed and every morning with a daily scrub or facial cleanser. Over night our faces tend to sweat which opens our pores to accumulating dirt. This can cause breakouts and blemishes that you will not want on the day of your wedding, so starting a twice a day facial cleansing routine can guarantee a perfect smooth glow. Day Three: Make sure you are manufacturing enough Z’s

“The week before your nuptials should be one for relaxing and getting at least eight hours every night.”
This preparation technique should not come as a surprise, getting enough sleep every night is always a good habit to keep. The week before your nuptials should be one for relaxing and getting at least eight hours every night. This can help by preventing dark circles, puffy eyes, and even reduce mental stress. Day Four: Plan a fitness day Whether it’s on day four or anytime this week, plan a day with your bridesmaids to get active. There are plenty of exercises you can enjoy such as yoga or a walk through the park. Either of these will help you release stress and give you energy.
Day Six: Beautify your nails
Day Seven: Pack your bags! The day before your wedding would be a perfect time to pack your bags for your honeymoon, if you haven’t started doing so already. You can spend the day knowing all the important responsibilities are taken care of and you can focus on all the clothing and accessories you want to take for your trip. After packing, get rest and get excited to enjoy your special day!<

Love & the Law: The Realities of Prenuptial Agreements
By Mark NeJame Contributor Vanessa Braeley, Associate Attorney with NeJame Law Read more at: StyleToMe.com
> It’s an all-too familiar story: It’s a week before the wedding. You’ve been dreaming about this day for years and are overwhelmed with the last minute details, when your soon-to-be spouse presents you with a document entitled “Prenuptial Agreement.” Do you sign?
financial disclosure must be made to each party. This can be tricky, for if the prenuptial agreement has a blanket statement that such a disclosure has been made, the court will presume this to be true and a party will have a higher burden of proof to meet if they wish to show misrepresentation.
The short answer is: “Not without consulting a lawyer.”
A recent landmark decision in the New York case Cioffi-Petrakis v. Petrakis, 2013 NY Slip Op 01057 (2012) may very well change the way the courts construe premarital agreements. In Cioffi-Petrakis, the court set aside the premarital agreement and awarded Ms. Cioffi-Petrakis her share of the marital estate as determined by New York statutory law. The court held that Mr. Petrakis induced Ms. Cioffi-Petrakis into signing the agreement four days before the wedding by incentivizing her with promises he never intended to keep. While this may seem promising for those who feel the agreements can be one-sided or unconscionable, the case has yet to effect how Florida courts apply the law. Currently, Florida continues to uphold most premarital agreements in the absence of fraud, duress or undue influence (all of which are difficult to prove).
While one may initially be offended or wonder if their significant other is in it for the long haul, it is important to remain levelheaded and objective when addressing this situation. A marriage is not just a legal union of two persons, but also of their assets and liabilities. Unromantic as it may be, the bond is similar to that of a business partnership, and developing an exit strategy in the event of a divorce can be a smart way to protect your assets and prevent avoidable, emotionally draining (and expensive) litigation. Currently, Florida evaluates prenuptial agreements under contract law principals. This means that parties are generally free to decide their own interests through contractual arrangements and will be held to the terms, whether or not the party understands every term at the time of signing. Additionally, the prenuptial agreement must be subjectively reasonable to each party. This takes into consideration what is reasonable for the parties in the circumstances that exist at the time of signing. Lastly, a full and fair
STYLETOME.COM
Memorialize your discussions in writing and be as detailed as possible.
• It may be uncomfortable, but develop an exit
strategy together if possible. This will increase the chance both parties will adhere to the contract in the event of a divorce since each person had an active role in drafting the terms.
• Address the issue of a prenuptial agreement
well in advance of the wedding! This will give the spouses-to-be a chance to review the document with their respective attorney (each person should have their own counsel). Rushed agreements right before a marriage can suck the joy out of your special event.
• Amend the prenuptial agreement to fit the
present circumstances of the marriage. Families change. Children are born, properties are bought and sold and jobs are lost and gained. The agreement should be relevant. So consult with a lawyer. Approach the situation from a business perspective. Prenuptial agreements can save a lot of stress, time and money in divorce litigation should that unfortunate day ever come. <
Here are a few smart tips to consider before saying “I do”:
• Have a serious discussion about the scope of your assets and liabilities. Regard this to be a normal part of the wedding-planning process.

Bold lines, tension in the panels and a raked rear screen evoke the image of a world class athlete poised in the starting blocks. Further expression of dynamic intent can be seen in Wraith’s deeply recessed grille, wide rear track and dramatic two-tone presentation.
> Rolls-Royce Motor Cars proudly presents the world debut of Wraith, the most powerful and dynamic Rolls-Royce in history. Performance delivers on the promise of Wraith’s styling. Power delivery is effortless, but dramatic, thanks to a V12 engine married to 8-speed automatic ZF transmission. 624 bhp / 465kW is available to the driver while the 0-60 mph sprint is achieved in 4.4 seconds, compared with 563 bhp / 420kW and 0-60 in 4.7 seconds for Ghost. From 1,500 rpm 800 Nm of torque is available (780 Nm for Ghost), while a wide rear track, shorter wheelbase and lower roof height further contribute to the most powerful, involving driving experience of any Rolls-Royce in history. The car’s suspension has also been tuned to minimise body roll and discreetly amplify feedback when cornering; while steering weight is heavier at high speeds and lighter at low speeds adding to the spirited drive. However, Wraith is no GT bruiser. Agility improvements have been achieved with absolutely no compromise to the sensation of riding on a bed of air. Furthermore, the debut of Satellite Aided Transmission (SAT) technology takes the powertrain to a new level of effortless delivery, one that perfectly suits the Rolls-Royce brand. <

DON’T MISS THE BEAT
Adam Levine Uncovering the King of Celebrity News By Riesa Pascal Read more at: StyleToMe.com
> Women all over the world have fallen for his undeniably rugged good looks. The band he fronts has just released their fourth US Billboard charting studio album. He’s an acclaimed singer-songwriter and millions tune in to watch him coach hopeful stars on the hit NBC reality competition show, The Voice. Of course I’m talking about none other than the tattoo clad lead singer of Maroon 5, Adam Levine. Levine is all over entertainment media right now as his band’s latest singles from Overexposed dominate airtime for countless radio stations. Levine has become an icon for pop-rock music and shows positive signs of continuing to ride that fame onwards. The all-American singer songwriter got his start in 1995 when he formed and fronted the garage band Kara’s Flowers. The band had very little commercial success and eventually broke up which left Levine to explore other endeavors. The winds of fate blew him and a fellow ex-band member to New York where they soon came to the decision to reform Kara’s Flowers. The old band members regrouped and added a fifth member who would complete the beloved band that would come to be known as Maroon 5. Maroon 5’s first studio album was titled Songs About Jane and somewhere around the world, Jane -- Levine’s ex-girlfriend and the inspiration for many of those tracks -- is most likely in a world of regret. To say this album was a huge hit is an understatement. Songs About Jane is what made Maroon 5 and Adam Levine a household name, something that is truly incredible to achieve on a debut record. From the rhythmic beats of “Harder To Breath” to the touching lyrics of “She Will Be Loved.” Songs About Jane was a masterpiece and showcased the incredible songwriting talent of Levine. The album eventually reached top 10 on the US Billboard 200 chart and became multi-platinum certified in multiple countries. Since Songs About Jane, Maroon 5 has come out with three other successful studio albums and Levine has shown that he has much more to give back to his

fans then just hit songs and good looks. Levine has taken his vocal talents to a whole new level by becoming a celebrity judge and coach for vocalists on The Voice. If there is any doubt as to Levine’s genuine talent as a musician, be sure to take note of the fact that the winner of the hit show’s very first season was strictly coached by Levine himself. Levine has much more under his career belt then just music though. Last year Levine made his acting debut in the American FX horror television series, American Horror Story: Asylum. Levine took on the recurring role of Leo Morrison in the show’s second season. Since then, he has taken occasional TV acting all the way to the big screen. Cast as a lead role in the upcoming film Can a Song Save Your Life? Many fans can’t wait to see Levine in his first major role on a feature film! He’s proved himself talented in a variety of different areas and is constantly trying his hand at new things. He’s launched his own self-titled fragrance, collaborated with First Act Music to create a new designer line of musical equipment, has a collection of apparel and accessories with Kmart and ShopYourWay.com, is a spokesperson for Proactive and owns the record label “222 Records” which manages several artists including Glee’s Matthew Morrison. Needless to say, Levine is quite the busy entrepreneur. The fact that he manages to fit all this in while touring Overexposed, which peaked at #2 on the US Billboard 100, is incredible. The month of May will provide a much needed tour break for Maroon 5 before they take Overexposed to several venues in Europe. Then the band will come back to the states and kick August off with the start of the Honda Civic Tour.Venues for the tour have been rapidly selling tickets ever since Maroon 5 was announced as the headlining act. The band will be on the tour with Kelly Clarkson, Rozzi Crane and several other supporting acts until early October. A schedule as busy as Levine’s could prove stressful to anyone, but he has developed an interesting way to cope and keep his mental state as healthy as possible. Levine is a vocal, passionate supporter of yoga. He has said that yoga has given him the ability to be more focused and make better decisions that come from a clear place. Whether it’s yoga or some other secret tool he isn’t sharing, Levine will have to keep at it because he’s a rising star with big dreams and goals who doesn’t show signs of stopping or slowing down. FACT: While glass does block most UVB rays, UVA radiation can get through. Which means that even if you’re indoors or in a car with the window up, you can get sunburned. Special films for windows are available to provide an added layer of protection against UVA exposure.

BEST FRIENDS
“You are Now Legally Married” By Jake White Executive Vice President & General Manager SPCA of Central Florida Read more at: StyleToMe.com
> As you prepare for your blessed day, you are most likely learning about all the legal “do’s and don’ts” of forming a union. Governmental forms, selecting tax statuses, how to legally merger from two insurance company policies into one, or maybe even a pre-nuptial agreement. It seems that simply knowing the legalities of marriage is only half the issue. The other half is understanding why do we even have some of these laws.
But don’t worry; there are stranger laws out there… • In Michigan, you cannot chain your alligator to a fire hydrant. • In Oklahoma, violators can be jailed for making ugly faces at a dog. • In Alaska, you can’t look at a moose from an airplane. • In Cleveland, Ohio, it’s illegal to catch mice without a hunting license. • In Marshalltown, Iowa, horses are forbidden to eat fire hydrants.
STYLETOME.COM
Believe it or not, these are real laws. Although you might think that they are silly, they do serve a purpose. I guess… because horses eat too many fire hydrants.
entering. We prefer to educate our neighbors. We assist the individuals by helping them find solutions to their violation so we can keep the “whole” family together.
Unlike these laws, there are many realistic laws to help protect pets. In Orange/Seminole/Osceola Counties, the SPCA of Central Florida is the non-profit, private, animal welfare agency that enforces them, specifically laws dealing with animal abuse, negligence, and abandonment. Working with law enforcement agencies, the two main laws that are enforced are State Statute 828.12 (Anti-Cruelty) and State Statute 828.13 (Quality of life).
It is important to know all animal laws if you are going to be a responsible pet owner. This way, you won’t be arrested in Vermont for whistling underwater for your dog. Yes, that is also a real law.
There are more laws than just these two, but these are the main laws that are enforced by our agency. Other laws include tethering your dog in a truck bed to two opposite sides of the bed, keeping your dog on a leash while in public areas, and having the proper rabies vaccinations and tags updated for your pet. How do we enforce these laws? Not “As Seen On TV.” Our Investigators do not carry firearms. We do not yell at citizens, nor do we violate civil liberties by breaking and

SPOTLIGHT ON THE LAW
THE FIFTH AMENDMENT - BY MARK L. HORWITZ > People think of the Fifth Amendment right against self incrimination as a tool used by those who have violated the law. This is simply wrong.
The founding fathers who drafted the Constitution knew that without this protection, governments throughout history abused their citizens and punished the innocent. Today, people have the misconception that simply because someone has invoked their Fifth Amendment privilege, that person must be guilty. This belief can not be further from the truth. State and federal governments continuously pass criminal laws that set forth complicated and hard to understand provisions that criminalize conduct far beyond what the Constitution’s authors ever imagined.
Law Offices of Mark L. Horwitz, P.A. 17 East Pine Street Orlando, FL 32801 P: 407-843-7733 F: 407-849-1321 mark@mlhorwitzlaw.com www.mlhoriwtzlaw.com

that the Fifth Amendment’s basic function is to protect the innocent who might otherwise be ensnared by ambiguous circumstances. Those ambiguous circumstances have become more likely as the complexities of criminal laws continues to grow. In 2001, the Supreme Court of the United States specifically ruled that a person can claim to be innocent and still properly invoke the Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination. False confessions, long extended interrogations, mistakes by police and countless other factors have resulted in convictions of the innocent. The right of a person not to be forced to be “a witness against himself” is not reserved for the guilty. <

Roxanne L. Sylora, MD Plastic Surgery Photo by Steven Miller
> Plastic surgery is not about vanity. Plastic surgery is about making people happy with who they are and what they look like. It involves a cosmetic component, but also a psychological component. Whether we like it or not, much of our identity is intertwined with our appearance. This is evidenced by our constant fascination with fashion, hair, and makeup. Current fashion emphasizes our shape and body form. In my mind plastic surgery is about educating people about their options, helping them understand why people do this and they are not alone in their feelings. It’s my primary job to help them understand what is realistic in terms of expectations.

Sean Kelley CEO and Founder of Saint Lawrence Title, President of JDS Clayton Group and licensed Florida Real Estate Broker. Photo by Steven Miller
> Sean Kelley is the CEO and Founder of Saint Lawrence Title, President of JDS Clayton Group and a licensed Florida Real Estate Broker. After moving to Central Florida in 1992 from upstate New York, Sean has spent most of his years here in the downtown area. When Sean sensed the beginning of a rising opportunity in real estate in 2001 he decided to get his Florida real estate sales license and soon discovered he had found a passion that would guide the rest of his career. Sean quickly realized he wanted to use his leadership skills and motivation to start his own Real Estate Brokerage. After building a successful “boutique” brokerage Sean’s entrepreneurial spirit led him in a slightly different direction within the industry when he founded Saint Lawrence Title in 2004 with his father Peter Kelley. It was time to take Saint Lawrence Title to the next level so Sean then partnered with Dana Williams, a title industry professional and marketing expert, in 2006, who helped him build Saint Lawrence Title into Orlando’s premier closing service in Central Florida. Sean’s experience as a real estate broker was the foundation for the keys to success in the title business. “Its really simple” Sean says “You COMMUNICATE!. Realtors, mortgage brokers, buyers and sellers are all involved in a complex and incredibly important transaction together. We need to
be sensitive to the emotions, as well as the logistics of each and every file. When everyone is in the loop, knows what and where we are on each file and gets responses almost immediately, they can better handle the stress that can sometimes come along with the closing process.” Making certain that every single person who calls, emails or walks through their front door is treated like royalty is another one of the philosophies that sets Saint Lawrence apart from other title companies in the area. “When we have a Realtor or Mortgage Broker who does business with us they stick with us!, We love our clients and we show it.” After seeing a demand for short sale services, Sean did what he does best and found a solution to better serve Saint Lawrence Titles Realtors and created JDS Clayton Group with his business partner Dana Williams. JDS Clayton Group provides short sale processing for Realtors and homeowners trying to navigate and find a solution to the difficult process of short selling a home. “No matter what we’re doing we always make sure everyone involved is happy. Our number one priority is to provide service with results above and beyond excellence!” <

Brantley Molpus, MD, FACEP Medical Director, The miniER & Ideal Image Orlando Photo by Steven Miller
> Whether you call him Dr. B, Dr. Brantley, or Dr. Molpus, he answers to all of them...and as his mother Rachel sometimes mentions, he was “Brantley” long before he was “Dr. Molpus”. This is simply a reminder to stay humble and treat others the way you like to be treated. Originally an arts and humanities major, Brantley switched in his third year of college to pre-med after volunteering at Halifax Hospital in his hometown of Daytona Beach. He completed his undergraduate degree and Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Florida, the only one in his class to receive both Honors Surgery and Honors Medicine distinctions at commencement. He did his residency in emergency medicine at the level one trauma center of Orlando Health. The following year, he was honored to be asked to return to Orlando to join the emergency medicine group that had trained him. He practiced hospital based ER medicine for ten years with Orlando Health. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. As with patient care, Dr. Molpus simply enjoys making things better. He has renovated and remodeled 6 properties in the Winter Park and Maitland area in the last 13 years, with emphasis on saving older homes with architectural details not found in newer construction. He began collecting art and antiques to accent the remodeled
homes, and eventually had sale displays at antique shops in Orlando and Winter Park. Of late, his antiques have been pared down to an acceptable “non-hoarder” level as his home sizes have scaled down. His art features heavily the modernist works of Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Steve Kaufman, Mark Kostabi, and Salvador Dali and is on loan to a gallery in South Florida for display until 2015. After a decade of hospital based medicine, Dr. Molpus co-founded the miniER in 2007, an adult and pediatric urgent care center located in Waterford Lakes. It is staffed with medical professionals having extensive emergency medicine training and practice experience. Dr.Molpus serves as President and COO of the miniER Corporation, as well as the medical director of the Waterford Lakes clinic. More recently, Dr. Molpus has joined Ideal Image, the industry leader in laser hair removal. He came to Ideal Image serendipitously as a client. He was impressed with the results as well as the staff’s professionalism, and when their current medical director retired, he was recommended as a candidate to replace him. The rest, like his unwanted hair, is history. Dr. Molpus now serves as the on site medical director for the Dr. Phillips location and also directs the centers in Altamonte, Waterford Lakes, and Lakeland.<

Dr. John Hughes-Papsidero Plastic Surgery Photo by Steven Miller
> “This is all about you” is the personal mantra that Dr. John Hughes-Papsidero has lived during his career. Affectionately referred to as “Dr. P.” by his staff and patients, Dr. Papsidero has changed the lives of thousands of men and women since coming to Florida in the late 80’s. In 2009 Dr. Papsidero followed his dream of focusing on patient care by joining Lifestyle Lift, the nation’s largest facial rejuvenation practice. He was finally able to give his patient the gift of a procedure performed without general anesthesia, with a shorter recovery time and more natural result. “I loved the philosophy of Lifestyle Lift. I think that every patient deserves to be treated like I would want my wife or mother to be treated. I became a surgeon to make a difference in the world, and I am honored to help change the lives of my patient’s one person at a time. ”

While listening to his staff talk about him you can tell that they have a genuine respect for this man that they consider a friend. This feeling carries over to his patients and what Dr. Papsidero calls the “EPIC Culture”. At Lifestyle Lift “Every Patient Interaction Counts” and going above and beyond for patients is expected. Dr Papsidero credits his wife, Connie, and their 2 children as being his inspiration and strength. When not serving his patient’s Dr. Papsidero spends his time traveling across the United States visiting historical sites. PGA National Resort & Spa Destination Wedding By Jennifer Marcus
> The PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach, Florida is best known for having some of the finest golf courses in the country. A handful of golf’s most brilliant moments have been played on one of the five courses located on property. As the host of the Honda Classic each spring, the PGA National Resort & Spa has seen the likes of golf legends Rory Mcllroy, Jack Nicklaus, and the newly crowned Honda Classic champion Michael Thompson. However, beyond the lush grass, the freshly manicured greens, and the impeccably designed courses, lies the
339-guestroom resort complete with nine on-property restaurants, lounges, and bars, a spa that rivals some of the most divine in the market, a zero-entry pool, and ballrooms, conference rooms and scenic outdoor locales perfect for hosting the most spectacular or most intimate affairs. One might think that a resort so rich in golf might not be the best option for a destination wedding, but following a $100 million renovation that was completed in fall 2012, the PGA National Resort & Spa might just
“Perfect for hosting the most spectacular or most intimate affairs.” be the perfect place. Destination weddings have become increasingly popular in the past five years whether it be for a first time occasion, a couple that has found love a second time around, or even to renew vows. What lends the PGA National Resort & Spa to being just the right spot for this special day is the harmonious blend of a perfect backdrop in sunny Palm Beach, a team of wedding enthusiasts looking to incorporate traditions or help you reinvent the wheel, remarkable cuisine, and a plethora of amenities sure to keep your wedding guests satisfied. In an effort to unveil PGA National Resort & Spa’s newest outdoor wedding venue, the resort hosted a mock wedding weekend for locals and vacationers this past January complete with the famous off-Broadway show Tina ‘N Tony’s Wedding. The production offered guests an inside look at the outdoor ceremony area that overlooks the exquisite lake and famous golf courses. The vibrant greenery provides a venue unlike any other. With more than 39,000 square feet of special event space to choose from, finding the perfect ballroom or locale is a breeze. But what might give you some trouble is choosing amongst the divine cuisine options for your wedding menu. While much of wedding planning can be tedious and overwhelming, the bride and groom always look forward to the wedding food tasting… and the PGA National Resort & Spa team rises to this event. What the future Mr. and Mrs. can expect from the culinary team is a fine dining experience where they can taste and see exactly how the cuisine will be served. Unlike some hotels, the PGA National Resort & Spa allows couples to customize the plate. The signature PGA Wedding Salad is a knockout on the palette and on the eyes. champagne vinaigrette. Your guests won’t skip the salad portion at this wedding. Standout entrées are the braised beef short ribs with a bordelaise sauce and diver scallops, which sit next to creamy Parmesan polenta, Japanese long beans and roasted tomato. The filet mignon in a Pinot Noir demi-glace is paired with sea bass in a citrus beurre blanc and dance next to cheddar potato galette, purple baby carrots and asparagus. And for dessert, aside from wedding cake, can be just about whatever your heart can dream up. After a night filled with food, beverages and dancing, your guests may just need a day to relax and revive before heading home. The PGA National Resort & Spa is home to The Spa, a full–service spa and salon that is in a class of its own. With more than 100 services offered, your guests and you may need to extend your trip in Palm Beach. What separates this spa with others in the area and afar is the centerpiece of The Spa, the Waters of the World mineral pools. These include the Salies de Béarn with salts imported from the French Pyrenees and the Dead Sea salts from Israel. Massage therapies from across the world are offered including techniques from the Americas, China, France, Thailand, Hawaii, Greece, Britain, Egypt, Japan, and the Swiss Alps. Body treatments are inspired by global
rituals and elements like raw sugar, seaweed, salt and aloe and are offered through therapies from Hungary, France, the Polynesian Islands, Israel, Palm Beaches and the South Pacific including the coconut honey sugar scrub. In the salon, you can treat yourself from top to bottom with a blow out or updo, a facial, waxing if you dare, a makeup application, a top-of-the-line manicure including the lavender bliss manicure, and even a cosmetic procedure! And don’t worry guys, there are gentleman services for you as well. What will make it even harder to leave the divine spa is the comfort and richness of the locker room, which is stocked with a variety of teas and flavored waters, and showers that might keep you there long enough to fall in love with the green tea and lemongrass soap.
Whether you are planning your wedding, looking for the perfect vacation spot, or just want to play a great game of golf, PGA National Resort & Spa will help with your departure from daily life. So do you want to pack your things and head down to Palm Beach yet? We bet you’re saying “I do.” < PGA National Resort & Spa 400 Ave of the Champions Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418 877-929-3231 www.pgaresorts.com

Order lunch at Wave Poolside or save room for dinner at the award-winning Ironwood Steak & Seafood, PGA National’s signature restaurant with one of South Florida’s most extensive wine lists. Gum Recession By Dr. Carl Bilancione Comprehensive & Cosmetic Dentistry, PA Orlando Magic Team Dentist 2828 Casa Aloma Way, Suite 700 , Winter Park, FL 32792 P: 407-678-4000 CosmeticDentistryFL@gmail.com www.smilebella.com
> Gum recession is a common dental problem found in approximately 4% to 12% of all adults. Aggressive tooth brushing and periodontal disease are two primary causes for recession but other factors such as genetics and teeth grinding have been identified. Untreated gum recession can ultimately lead to root sensitivity, loss of supporting bone, tooth decay, plaque build-up, and risk of future recession. In the mouth there are two types of gum tissue. The first is a dense, bright pink collar found around the neck of the tooth (firm gums). This tissue is similar in consistency to the skin on the palms of your hands and the soles of your feet. The purpose of this tissue is to protect the teeth and keep the gum tissues from receding. The second layer is a loose, moveable type tissue that has no protective properties at all (loose gums). When the firm gum layer is damaged, the underlying bone will resorb exposing the root surface of the tooth. This ultimately may lead to cavities of the root, tooth sensitivity, bone erosion, or even tooth loss. Gum grafts can be used to cover roots and develop gum tissue where absent due to excessive gum recession. During a gum grafting procedure, your periodontist takes gum tissue from the roof of the mouth or another donor source to cover the exposed root. In some cases, your periodontist can simply move your gum tissues into a healthier position without using tissue from the roof of the mouth. This can be done for one tooth or several teeth to even your gum line and reduce sensitivity. <

A common wives tale is that gum recession is due to old age. “Whether you have a gum graft to improve function or esthetics, patients often receive the benefits of both: a beautiful new smile and improved periodontal health. In closing as a general dentist it is imperative that I work with a team of experts and these professionals are part of my team.

Spring Into Enlightenment By Travis Joiner Read more at: StyleToMe.com
> Spring is slowly trying to creep out of a longer than usual winter this year and I for one am ready to see it. It is that time where we get to practice all of those New Year resolutions and shed those hibernation pounds we needed to use over winter. It marks a time for people to start veering towards fresher and healthier options when it comes to the dinner table. I am here to tell you that it can also be applied to bellying up to the bar or at your favorite happy hour spot. There is a new up and coming brand that goes by the name of Enlightened Grain Organic Spirits that you must try. If you follow the mantra of fresher or healthier as I do during this time of year this USDA approved organic spirit, or non-juniper gin, is the place you want to start. The idea for this twist on the idea of flavored spirits was sparked in our own backyard here in Central Florida. Mathew Anderson, founder, as well as a closely-knit group of like-minded individuals are on to something I believe to be unique and special. As of now their catalog consists of three options to choose from to please your senses. Enlightened Grain Origins is the closest thing most of us would compare to vodka. Very clean on the palate, this clear spirit is what I choose to use when I am looking for a Press cocktail (think equal parts soda water and tonic water with a twist of lime). Where the real fun begins is with the E.G. Inspiration and newly introduced E.G. Windsor. Anyone rolling their eyes at the idea of another flavored spirit-STOP! and be glad that this is not what you are thinking at all. The Enlightened Grain Inspiration is a Rosemary and Lavender infused spirit that happily blurs the boundary for foodies and mixologists
STYLETOME.COM
with flawless perfection. Anyone who is a fan of those fresh botanicals will appeal to more than one of your senses. The rosemary is brought into the distillation process that leaves it both dancing on your tongue and livening up your olfactory senses with a delightful result. The essential oils of the lavender are introduced which really round off this flavor profile into something that allows for multiple uses. One could surely enjoy it with an ice cube in a rocks glass; however, the options are endless with a little creative blending and mixing. The flavor still holds onto that sense of fresh ingredients you look for this time of year. Here is a great way to get those healthy and fresh flavors into your glass: THE COMPANION: 2oz. E.G. Inspiration 1oz. Aperol Liquor 1 orange slice (muddle) 2 cherries (muddle) 3 dashes (blood) orange bitters top with soda water Pour, Muddle, Stir, Strain, Rocks The Companion Created By: Travis Joiner for Vines Grille and Wine Bar The newest creation in the Enlightened Grain portfolio is the well-named Windsor. The Windsor features two more equally creative and fresh ingredients as the Inspiration. Sage and Earl Grey Tea have been introduced to this organic spirit with a more subtle but noticeable success. When tasting this by itself you really pick up on the nuance flavor of bergamot and orange one finds in aged Earl Grey black tea. With the
infusion of California Sage you once again find that botanical that comes in and rounds off the flavors into the balance one with a refined palate comes to expect in both the wine and spirit universe (alcohol not ghosts). Once again you have something that can be sipped on over ice or be submitted to the creative process in whichever direction one seems fit. That fresh, light flavor you are seeking this time of year resides in this bottle just waiting to get out and introduce itself to you. Whether you prefer that bold flavor that rosemary brings to the table in the E.G. Inspiration or the more subtle nuanced flavor that resides in the E.G.Windsor, one thing is for sure. That healthy and great tasting liquid refreshment you crave this time of year can be found at the bar thanks to the genius behind such spirits as Enlightened Grain. If you are a vodka and soda traditionalist, pick up a bottle of the E.G. Origins and you will not be disappointed with that smooth light flavor one comes to expect. Just because winter has been holding onto a dragging spring doesn’t mean we can’t get ahead of the curve. Get out there and welcome this new age of enlightenment with something fresh in your glass.<
