The roller coaster saga continues In part 2 I discussed the amusement park roller coaster rides currently faced by youth, with one of the most vicious being “Steel Vengeance” The power, velocity and height of “Steel Vengeance” is second to none, ranking it number one of the largest roller coasters in the world, with a 90 degree drop straight down, four stomach churning upside down loops, reaching up to 74 miles per hour speeds, with the tallest peak being 205 feet above the ground. With all the twists and turns, and drops that occur, those traveling at record speed still get to the bottom and discover they are still alive and ALL IS STILL WELL!!!
In the relationship roller coaster of friendship, a few that stand out: loyal best friend, who stays in cruise mode, never allowing a free fall; confidant, who allows you to say anything anytime, without judging or letting you crash land; opposites attract friendship, who has nothing in common, but stays the course on the ride, always challenging and sometimes frustrating each other; neighbor for life friendship, who knows everything about each other, but knows how to cruise to the top of the ride, understanding free falling is not an option; and work friend who knows the boundaries between home and work and keeps the ride at the right speed. Although these friendships have lasting qualities, there are those that take you on the roller coaster ride of your life, like the jealousy fueled friendship, that feels like you are always tumbling with
by Sharon Arrindellnowhere to land; and fake friend who literally feels like they wish you would go flying off the ride with no return
The jealousy and fake friendship roller coaster rides are disturbingly brutal and are more common than one wants to admit. They come with a feeling of sheer exhaustion from jolts that happen because of the twists, turns and bumps. These treacherous rides have the possibility of changing lives and creating social and psychological killings that are second to none. Putting up with these friendships is painfully riveting and has the likelihood of piercing one’s soul.
Though men suffer through these roller coaster types of friendships, it seems women are more susceptible, and therefore, the scars that result are more piercing, leaving a sense of helpless vulnerability Though so many reasons exist for this, starting in years gone by, where people held grudges that lasted for many years, social media has taken center stage for playing a major role in these exacerbating rides. It reveals a façade that makes people, who are sometimes suffering and miserable, present as blissfully happy and content. As one is allowed to scroll through these social platforms daily, the heart wrenching truth of one’s own life looks bleak in comparison to others, and the deep seed of envy and jealousy creeps in, thus fake friendships exude, sometimes unaware. Friendships, once thought of as secure, become flawed, as the roller coaster ride takes up residence in the places most vulnerable, the heart and mind This impenetrable ride
creates unbearable scars and wounds for the one holding the grudge, as well as the innocent bystander who still believes a genuine friendship exists Questions arise after being on these rides that send us flying into a frenzy that is sometimes debilitating and devastating. What is the cure for these disquieting friendship roller coasters? How does one avoid involvement in these crazy friendship roller coaster rides? Who can we depend on to bring lasting healing when these rides bring us crashing down? Will we get to the bottom and realize ALL IS REALLY NOT WELL!!! My career as a counselor and author has unleashed books that will help bring lasting healing to those caught in the ravages of these rides. For additional resources visit:

Dr. Linda Jordon
Elevation of the mind is a conscious attempt to incubate and birth habits that will control the subconscious activities of our minds and effect a positive change. The mind of every human exists independently and can’t be tamed by any physical entity which is why our physical bodies might be down in sleep but the mind is yet working and manifesting in dreams. The mind and the term “stress” (which will have a much brighter light shined on it in the course of this book) are interrelated. They are not mutually exclusive as they affect each other. When you are stressed, your mind will be affected even though it isn’t a physical entity.
Thoughts stemming from your mind can also birth stress and so the elevation of the mind is intended at keeping in check, negative thoughts and negative mental habits that could induce stress Beyond this stress preemptive approach, the said stress most times becomes utterly inevitable and then de stressing comes into the picture inviting mind elevation at once with it as a therapeutic partner and that is what you are about to learn in the preceding chapters using mind elevation alongside some hacks to de stress All of the secrets of de stressing aren’t really mind based, some of them are of a physical nature but are connected via various chords to the mind being the ultimate controller of human actions, thoughts, and processes.
The process of elevating the mind is a gradual one. It requires consistent engagement till it becomes a habit or a sort of culture for the user. This is same the way the mind got undermined and thus condescended to need elevation in the first place. The mind can be formatted and replaced with positivity. With the mind, you can learn and unlearn things to shape your life. With the mind, you can be in charge of your physical health and control it. With the mind, you can control stress and show it the door. Everything is entirely possible to achieve when the mind is being deployed for the right purposes as you are about to learn It’s man’s ultimate tool for success and failure and so it could be dangerous and friendly at the same time depending on how its host decides to employ it Via a systematic process, the mind is being elevated and programmed to envisage lofty ideas, go optimistic, master the act of serenity, and maintain a perfect equipoise with the body where it most times reflects. Gradually, the mind is elevated and stays elevated. Then it transforms into a habit in its host and stress could be that banished relative whose exile terms and conditions offer no room for a reunion. Inadvertent stress can be effectively addressed with all of the de stressing methods in this book put to use at the backdrop of a re oriented mind, a mind that has been elevated above filthy bars, and a mind that opens up to a world of limitless possibilities. A garbage filled mind is the lair of stress incubation and from its core, tons of negativities emanates and plague the human body including the mind itself.

Succeeding Beyond My Wildest Dreams
by Andrea MackThere were so many times that I said to myself I’m going to be this. I dreamt of living a certain lifestyle. I was able to see myself in a particular car. I even knew what my favorite outfit looked like and how I’d pair my accessories. The outer markings of Success Street are easy. I fashioned them in my mind as one would dress up a doll. Had I not gotten healthy in my heart, mind, and spirit, I wouldn’t have been able to become the entrepreneur that I am today.
I decided it was time to take my dreams to the next level and make them visible to me daily. This exercise would surely catapult me into the dimension of success where I was destined to be. I entered the vision board stage or craze, as it was at the time. I even offered workshops on creating, developing, and executing what was on your vision board I wasn’t successful I wasn’t getting the clients I was frustrated I was still grasping
I took a long hard look at where I was going I examined my home life I took an inventory of my relationships. I looked deep within and realized that what I wanted was being blocked by how I was living. My days were crammed with clients for my service business. I ran to every event, game, and activity that my son was involved in. I drive all over three states helping others, and everyone that needed to move, celebrate an occasion, or simply be a shoulder to cry on. I was exhausted physically and emotionally exhausted. I was spiritually drained and running on fumes. Something had to change.
The realization came quite abruptly and not from my own doing. It was the Friday before my son’s birthday weekend, and I received a text from my closest friend. She told me that she knew it was his birthday weekend and that she hopes we had a great time, and that we would reconnect on Monday Monday came and went The weekend came and went Another Monday came and went and there was no text, call, or even a response from my texts and calls I honestly didn’t hear from her for several months I drove by her condo and her car was there There were occasions I would see her driving in the surrounding area where we lived. I finally realized that
for whatever reason she had departed from our friendship and our sisterhood. I was stunned. I was surprisingly relieved. I didn’t have the wherewithal to end the relationship myself though I now knew I had wanted to The relationship served me in many ways The same holds for her Several months later I heard from her She told me that familiarity breeds contempt, and she didn’t like what our friend had developed into This declaration helped me to realize that the universe, and God’s force, are greater than myself which freed me from what I could not free myself That one relationship had occupied so much of my physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual space that without it I was practically a blank slate. I was able to journal more. I did things alone. I dined alone. I went to the movies alone. I shopped alone. I traveled alone. In my alone time, I found myself again. I took a class. I took free classes. I decided to redirect my primary business by taking it to the next level and starting a life coaching career. Now, I’ve published books and articles and I have shared my story all over the world.
I coach and mentor others into a life that they never dared to dream of and many of them are living that life. I have had the honor to share hope with the masses as a podcast, TV, and radio host I have the privilege of speaking throughout the world letting others know dreams do come true I have succeeded beyond what I thought imaginable and so can you
Andrea is a Certified Transformation Coach, specializing in recovery and trauma She is transforming the lives of the people she works with. She is helping them to no longer be filled with fear and shame. These clients are now fearless and moving with boldness in their lives Andrea can bring something very special to her clients because she has been in similar situations of fear, and shame due to alcohol and drug abuse and many life traumas
Nonprofit CEOs, prepare to change the world. You might be thinking, I have a wonderful idea, but my first steps are unclear. After this article, you'll be ready to start. I think a clear vision helps organizations. Then comes executing the plan. I meet people that have the notion but are hesitant to start.
I want you to move forward without hesitation. I'm in nonprofits to make a difference. You want to change, too. When will you start making time to change?
As an Executive Director of a Pregnancy Resource Center for eight years, I joined the organization with roughly $7,000 in the bank. Right, a month's operation cost $7,000? That is a terrible situation to walk into. I share this to show that I know the fear of not having enough money or resources.
As a leader, I want to provide you with all you need to make your nonprofit profitable. It's about empowering you to meet your needs. We recruit volunteers and form community collaborations. Your message is key to achieving both aims. Whether it's in person, on social media, or in emails. All of that builds community events and raises awareness of your brand and aims.
FOUNDER OF CEO WOMAN ALLIANCEYour goal is to help them connect with you. Your messaging is key. Your donor messaging is crucial to building an effective fundraising strategy, especially now with COVID 19 With Nonprofit CEO, our goal is to provide you with more methods to engage with your community and construct a long term plan to build financially, with your volunteers, team members, and community You have everything you need to make an impact.
Nonprofit boards: All nonprofit boards occasionally struggle with board engagement. We want to make sure your team has serious missionaries with time. Unfortunately, some join boards to tick a box. Like adding to their resume. We can teach nonprofit CEOs how to ask the correct questions to avoid that situation.
Tiffany, what's my first step? Choose a name first Make sure your name sticks out from the crowd Make sure that your name represents you and your goals It's easily recognizable by others who might want to interact with you Technically You remember seeing my logo before Tiffany Bell, right? Nonprofit CEO.
The Nonprofit CEO's logo says what? It identifies my audience. Nonprofit leaders and nonprofit employees. Right. It also revealed my industry. Leaders CEOs are my target market. I want leaders. It's the company's volunteer recruitment strategy managers, not just the CEO. Board presidents or vice presidents may be involved. It's board leaders. My firm name says it all
Again, you want names that make an impact Make sure it fits your objective With your purpose, you
know that when you read nonprofit CEO, I'm not here for animals, dogs, children, women, or men. Do I protect wildlife? It's easy to see how that name connects you You should trademark the name you choose Why? Unfortunately, some people are dishonest, right? Because of that, you want to create certain limits around your name to safeguard it from people who may try to steal your company's identity.
Check your designator. Your state determines this. Organization and registration of nonprofits with the secretary of the state vary per state.
Do your research and make sure your name is nonprofit friendly if they have a specified designator. Again, nonprofit friendly if it's a foundation, put nonprofit CEO foundation, right? You can include the charity in a name These are optional
Next, investigate your nonprofit's name online before buying a domain Also, check if the name is available I usually Google I usually check on multiple browsers to determine if the name is used. Another company may use part of the name. Avoid brand misunderstanding. Simply double check and do your research. Once it's clear, go to GoDaddy or Namecheap.
Most domain names are cheap. Some are free. Sometimes they're $1. Some names cost tens of thousands. You can lower prices by tweaking your domain name. Recheck your organization's relevance Brand confusion could occur if someone uses a name like yours and steals your traffic Consider all of these
After you got your name and bought your domain name, you need a trustworthy board of directors to work with. I want generous people on your board I usually mean generous with money That's crucial You need time and money giving folks Board members usually support your vision and objectives
They strongly support your work, yet they may serve on other boards that contradict it
Another element is making sure they have time since they're working full time, participating in other community projects, or in their church. Ensure folks have time to serve. Yes, people should be generous with their money, but they should also be generous with you and your nonprofit. Again, believing in the mission is next. Why would I interact with anyone at the Pregnancy Resource Center who didn't support the mission?
You can't have pro choice people on the board of a pro life group, even though they may agree on some things under the tent of prenatal care You need people who believe entirely, not just in parts, in what you're doing Again, ensure they'll attend all meetings.
Because they're usually in different organizations. You should tell them upfront that your board meets on the first Tuesday of the month. I want you there for the ten months we meet, even if we take the summers off. Tell them, "We know life happens." Our bylaws require you to attend 75% of meetings, but I want you there 100%.
You can tell them that because if they care about the objective, they want to be there 100% of the time too Again, make sure your team members are all in Friends and family are off limits Ultimately, you
want to support friends and family Once you get to a certain level, you may have to cross the muddy river, where they may not support you
Because of your intimate friendship, the boardroom may impact it, and not everyone can support you or separate the two. So again, choose board members wisely to ensure their complete support. As a nonprofit founder, you want people who support the purpose and you. I know that might seem touchy feely, but I think that's incredibly necessary, especially in the beginning. As the nonprofit expands, you may take a back role because you're the founder and your legacy will go on with the nonprofit.
However, you recognize that because you don't officially own the nonprofit, as more people join your team, the mission grows, and you age, you will wind up taking steps further and more away from the nonprofit as your child gets stronger and more impactful. Again, the initial few years of a nonprofit require the ideal team members. Make sure your board members will promote the initiative. My local friend was a pregnancy research center board member. She told me one day, "Tiffany, we need some loud tongues on our board."
Her description of someone with a loudmouth wasn't meant to be derogatory someone it's who's passionate about what they do They'll shout from the rooftops that something is wrong, giving your organization legitimacy again But they'll share their platform with your mission Again, you want outgoing folks Maggie needs accountants.
They don't mind doing numbers in the background and don't network much However, you must have board members that are networkers, marketers, community leaders, and eager to promote your purpose You need board members who will do the legwork. They'll clean up. As a CEO, I can sweep the bathrooms or give a 20 minute lecture to a huge coastal firm. I'm not too excellent to clean the toilets, but I can do some of the little things. I'll dust or clean. I'll get my boots muddy to do what's needed. Again, you want to make sure you have people that are totally interested, engaged, and believe in the mission and its potential effect. Those are your board members.
Your board should have varied backgrounds and skills, right? Again, this photo shows various famous cultures standing in the circle That's great because we have folks from all walks of life You can solve a problem with their distinct perspective Right?
As a CEO, you don't want to be the go to guy for everything, therefore you need a diverse team with varied skill sets. So your team needs an accountant. Yes, you may pull Profit & Loss Statements or other reports when your board meets. It's great to have a lawyer or accountant on your team to explain the legalities of bookkeeping. Your board should include a marketer or social media marketer.
Again, these abilities and event planners, especially nonprofit ones, are extremely visible in the community You need someone to help with larger or smaller events Again, you have people from different backgrounds, especially when it comes to community effect If your nonprofit serves military
spouses, you want both men and women on your board, right? Because military wives are masculine and female
You're helping them connect with the community, whether they work there or not. You may desire a military veteran. I'd put a non enlisted person, male and female, on that board again because you want to make sure their wives can recognize and connect with you.
Make sure your ethnicity is represented in the military. Again, your board must represent that, right? Again, diverse skills, life experiences, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Diversity in all domains increases with diversity. The more people you can reach, the more potential your team has
Next, restart volunteer recruitment Board members are technically part of volunteer recruiting, but you also need those employees that come in every day and interact with clients. I'll use the pregnancy resource center again because that's my most recent client. We had fundraising volunteers. Community programs have volunteers. Churches have volunteers. As CEO, you don't want to undertake all the tasks, so volunteer recruiting is crucial. During donations. People donate to your yard sale.
Volunteer recruitment is crucial. You want time givers, right? Again, volunteers who fit your objective, especially retirees, are looking for work Teachers may desire to volunteer during the summer When school is out in the summer, people may not want to volunteer every day, but many are eager to donate four hours a week to a purpose they care about. You
should recruit volunteers. Volunteers again.
They can express their beliefs. They can relate. As with the award of directors, you have these two teams of people coming together under the one banner of being able to address whatever that issue is and create a great community effect. Again, assembling your name, board, and volunteers is great. Build. You'll change things when the time comes. I performed some research. Months ago. Volunteer hours surprised me.
From a 2018 study. 78 million US based volunteers. 1,670,000,000 volunteer hours. Again, people give back Donations are genuine
But they need to hear you're there They need to know they're there and how to connect with you as you adapt your messaging You've
communicated properly with them on how to connect, therefore they need to see themselves as part of the organization. Again, if your tale is right, people will flock to you. Article incorporation follows. Your Secretary of State will need your articles of incorporation These forms outline your nonprofit's specific requirements for the Secretary of State The IRS issues your EIN, or employer identification number
I applied for my EIN online at IRS gov in 15 minutes You can also download the forms, fill them out, send them in, and receive them in two to three weeks. It's like your company's Social Security number. However, you may just require one EIN number. Depending on your firm, you may be able to get one EIN number and numerous earnings under it.
Bylaws are your operating guidelines, as stated there. When recruiting board members, have your bylaws handy so everyone knows the organization's objective. Two, it's the team rules you're following. Your bylaws would specify the number and types of board members. Some are general board directors. You need a president, secretary, and treasurer. Vice presidents are allowed. Committees are also possible Bylaws also determine board member tenure
There's a general board and an executive board If you have both, they can serve on the executive board for three years, but they must resign as president, vice president, secretary treasurer, and general member for two years before returning to those roles. As I indicated previously, you must attend 75% of your board meetings each year. Your bylaws will outline those. Some ordinances are ambiguous, others detailed.
Nonprofits should find balance. Your founding bylaws are these. Of course, as a board, you can make modifications. So check your bylaws again. If you don't look at them once a year, go back every two or three years and see if anything needs to be modified.
Again, when your board increases, as your company expands, you may need to do things differently. Again, you want the freedom to modify as your company expands You want your rules, policies, processes, and bylaws to adapt to Instagram next Maybe it's attracting board members Your bylaws dictated your meeting Monthly boards exist Some organizations just require annual meetings Why?
As a nonprofit, they may only meet once a year. They may hold a book bag drive. In July before school starts in August, it's always done. They probably won't meet again to resolve that They may only meet in May, June, and July, with the event starting at the end of July The organization's mission and structure determine how often they meet This is your goal Reach your first support meeting
Tax exempt statuses vary. Six in total. The most popular one is the 501 C3, and they bypass this 500 and C1 through 7 with the exemption, except for C5, which I suppose they skip. Because of your tax exempt status, you're undoubtedly most familiar with the 501 C3. The IRS handles tax status applications. Two forms are available. One's short, one's long. That may cost $450 $650.
It used to be $275, but I guess the short form rate has increased. Both forms require time. The extended form is detailed, but the short form is better. Once completed, transmit to IRS. They work hard to assist you to get accepted, but it may take months before you get an update.
What's next? As I indicated, it may take two to three months to get your answer Again, pre COVID It's changed now It may take longer, but you can hurry and wait There are a few things people don't know about creating organizations, especially during this hurry up and wait phase when you're trying to achieve nonprofit status. Be mindful. You're a nonprofit. You're not tax exempt.
Does that mean you have to wait and stop doing what you want with your nonprofit? Nope. Donations are still possible. However, you can accept up to $5,000 before obtaining 501 C status if you inform donors that you have applied for it. But you can function under that 500 and 163 status as long as you do not collect more than $5,000 for the year until your status is renewed formally again. The government has built in some little loopholes to support you and allow you some flexibility. You must know those loopholes. Fiscal agents are possible. That fiscal agent is fascinating because technically you can be a for profit firm operating as a nonprofit under that organization, which already has 501 C three tax exempt status
To avoid confusion, a fiscal agent is an agent. An intermediary between for profit and nonprofit so you can sell. consumer. Receive the nonprofit gift receipt or discount I'm buying from a for profit company
But they're working together Again, if you're a for profit person listening to this discussion, you may want to consider a fiscal agent opportunity to cooperate with nonprofits, make a difference, and engage with your community After obtaining tax exempt status, you must notify your state. Return to your Secretary of State and register as a 501 C exempt agent. From there, you're good.

Barbara H. SmithHave you ever asked yourself, “What is my purpose in this world? Is this all there is to life?” If you have asked these questions, you are not alone. Most of us go through an entire lifetime not really knowing who we are or why we’re here Let me assure you, however, every single one of us has a purpose for being here From the time we are born, we HAVE a purpose
However, the hard part is discovering what our PURPOSE is and then to walk in it. Each of us, are unique. As different as our fingerprints, each of us is special. Embrace that uniqueness, and understand that you were not designed to fit in but to stand out. Don’t let anyone put you in a category or what I like to call a box. For example, as a girl child, I wasn’t supposed to like trucks because somebody decided that girls were supposed to like dolls. I hate dolls, always have
Unique Similarly, the racial divide around the world was created by people who thought it was necessary to put everyone neatly in a box their box There are all kinds of boxes like; being a woman, an African American, Asian, Hispanic, or Anglo Saxon. Being differently abled is a box. I dare you to crush that box and be who you were designed to be! Why? Because we are all part of the same race…
THE HUMAN RACE. Each of us is unique, and designed to complement each other coming together in our diversity like an
orchestra of finely tuned instruments to create a beautiful symphony. Embrace who you are no matter how different because essentially in our differences we are all still the same Humans We bleed red blood, sleep lying down, and typically eat our food sitting up We have families and want to be loved Years ago, I defined myself by the work I did People ask, “What do you do?” when what they really mean is, “What’s in it for me?”
I used to answer by describing my position. “I’m an engineer,” since my job title made me feel important. I’m on a Mission by Barbara H. Smith We also define ourselves in familial relationship. For example, I’m a wife, a mother, a sister, or a daughter. I learned that if that’s how I see myself, that all others will see. Why not start declaring our destinies? Yes, destiny. Our future selves. Declare it Stand on it Envision it Write it! Call it your personal mission statement I suggest your personal mission statement contain at least two elements:
1 What you enjoy doing more than anything else in the world.
2. How you would help make this world a better place.
Here’s mine. It’s what I say when asked, “What do you do?” You know how people who are in business get asked what they do all the time? And even if they are crushing it in business, they find it difficult at times to really explain what they do? Or after they explain
they’re not sure it came across well? (Wait for the head nod of acknowledgement). Well, what I do is help people communicate more clearly, what they do, what they have, and how they serve others So that they can save time, and make more money by confidently explaining the problems they solve with their product or service. As an international speaker, coach, and trainer, I help people confidently present themselves, so they get to live the lives of their dreams. First, it’s less than 30 seconds. Second, it’s clear that helping others in business is what I enjoy, third, my purpose is teaching, that how I help make the world a better place I can help you do the same! Let me help you craft your signature story. Your person mission statement. Trust and believe in yourself, and others trust and believe in you too.

People may assume that image refers solely to your personal appearance, fashion sense, grooming habits and physical fitness Physical appearance is a component of your image It’s one way that you express who you are to the world Your self image is developed in your mind, projected into the physical universe and once the concept is out there, it is interpreted and acted upon by the people around you Image is also the collection of external messages that we communicate intentionally or unintentionally about our inner selves We communicate these messages not just through our appearance, but through our actions, our speech and our lifestyle Everything we say and do communicates something about us We cannot not communicate
Image isn’t superficial, it’s psychology It’s important to honor yourself through your image Creating your professional image is an inside out process that serves to align your appearance, behavior and communication style The majority of communication happens at the non verbal level As humans, we are wired by our evolutionary history to perform instant assessments about others We also interpret facial expressions and body language for signs of hostility versus friendliness; honesty versus deception These assessments are based on cues, including appearance, speech and non verbal signals We consciously and unconsciously respond to external stimuli
After you speak, additional judgements are made about the content of what you have said and your credibility It
is important to make sure there is congruency in all aspects of your image: visual appearance, verbal and non verbal communication. In a nutshell, your image is an extension of what you think about yourself and serves as a marketing tool to enhance your personal brand. Through image management, you can convey a distinctive message for your brand. If you need assistance developing your image, consider working with an Image Consultant. An Image Consultant specializes in helping individuals assess, improve and refine their appearance, behavior and communication style to ensure that the individual’s image is consistent with their professional and personal goals.
Now that you know what image is and why it’s important, please take a minute and reflect on these questions:
·What three words would you use to describe yourself?
·What three words would clients use to describe you?
·How are you representing yourself to the world through your appearance, behavior and communication style?
·What is the narrative you want to tell about yourself?
·How can that narrative be conveyed through your image?

RECOGNIZING SIGNS OF BULLYING
by Dr. Sonya GrayBullying is when someone:
Keeps picking on you again and again and tries to make you feel bad
·Says or does lots of mean things that upset you
Makes fun of you a lot
·Tries to stop you from joining in or making others, not like you
Keeps hurting you such as hitting or punching you
Bullying is when one person (or group of people) with more power than someone else tries to upset or hurt them. This power can come from being more popular, stronger, or part of the group They might repeatedly try to hurt the person physically, socially isolate them, or say and do mean or humiliating things to them. Bullying can happen in person or online, and it can be obvious or hidden. If someone behaves in a mean or aggressive way on one occasion it is not bullying, even though it is not respectful or acceptable A fight or disagreement between two people of equal power or status is not bullying. Bullying is not OK. It feels awful. You feel like you cannot stop it. You have the right to feel safe Bullying of any form or for any reason can have long term effects on those involved, including bystanders. Bullying can cause physical or psychological harm.
What to do if you are being bullied:
·Tell someone mom, dad, one of your family members, a grandparent, or a teacher.
·Stay positive and be confident
·If it happens on the phone or online do not respond and ask for help to block the person.
What steps should I take to make sure it does not happen again?
Ask for help to change the behavior if you feel like you are being bullied or you are a bully
·Talk to your parents, teacher, or friends
·Be responsible.
What can parents do if their child tells them they are being bullied?
Listen
Reassure your child it is not their fault
·Discuss strategies to handle the situation
·Contact the school and stay in touch with them
·Check in regularly with your child
