HOW I BLEW $15,000 AND TRUSTED GOD’S PLAN A few weeks back I took a call while in the Bahamas on a work retreat with my mentors. The potential buyer decided she was ready to move forward, and I was excited to send her the contract and take payment. She asked if we could wait two weeks until some money cleared from her selling her home, and I agreed. For me, it felt like I was staying in integrity with my end of the verbal agreement between us. When it came time for the closing call, a message came through letting me know she wasn’t going to make it due to being sick. I was there waiting for 10 minutes because before closing calls I jam out and thank God for sending me a new woman whose life I’m about to change. Except for this time, nobody showed up. This time, I was actually ghosted. This time, I felt like I did something wrong and blew the sale.

It’s exactly why I teach women The Permission Process which allows you to let go of control and realize you can trust and feel safe in your business and your money while God works throughout your life. So if that story resonates with you, I’d love to hear about it. Maybe this is exactly what you needed to hear today! And maybe The Permission Process is what you’re missing in your life right now.
I followed up a few days later. Radio silence….. I turned to God and asked, "what did I do wrong?". Why did the person not want to work with me? God leaned into me and said, “Do you trust me? Do you trust that I’m taking this person away from you that isn’t an ideal client or a great fit? Do you trust I know what I’m doing? And if you do, get out of my way!” I blew it because of trying to control the outcomes and the results. I wasn’t wrong in how I handled it, but my lack of trust and surrender were missing. expect miracles to manifest for me, but why should they if I’m attached to said outcomes? Lesson learned that God’s plan is and always will be the one I desire to follow! And when we feel like we need to tighten the reins on our business, employees, our children, spouse, home life…it’s simply because we aren’t

BEAUTY INSIDE OUT by Aisha Carter Cathey
What is considered beautiful has been evolving since the beginning of time, but this time it is different. The beauty industry is changing in a way that embraces purpose, self-love, empowerment, and expression. A beauty influencer herself with over 25 years in the industry, Aisha has witnessed tremendous change and feel’s honored and proud to be an influencer of this generation of changemakers. Her own transformation started a long time ago when she decided she wanted to lose weight. Not because she wanted to look like a supermodel, but out of selfrespect: Aisha wants to be a healthy example for what she represents. She lost 80 pounds with a gastric bypass sleeve. She ran into some serious complications with the sleeve but didn’t let theta stop her and now she feels good in her skin and uses this to help other people transform from the inside out. Aisha is the living example that no matter how you choose to transform - be it weight, surgery, or makeup, it is still hard work, and it is all worth it. Transformation is uncharted territory. It is also where the journey to self-discovery starts. Once embarked on her journey, Aisha grew gradually to what she is today. Becoming a licensed cosmetologist in the 10th grade, traveled across the states teaching and training the next generation of cosmetologists to fulfill the needs of the current industry. This beauty consultant has created several beauty shows and events while contributing to local colleges and sits on the board of advisory for Lawson state community college HBCU. Finally, she began to indulge in the chemistry of beauty working for Avas Cosmetics and Kiri industries in India. Every step of her career reminds her of the different layers of purpose that beauty encompasses. When spoken to Aisha said these words -I love teaching all my clients to feel strong through beauty because when you look good you feel good. Hurtful experiences from the past cannot be undone but through beauty,
you can boost your confidence and unlock your optimal potential. I want every other woman to know this secret, so I incorporated much of what I learned over the past years into a book that is coming out in spring of 2022. It teaches women the basic steps on how to apply make-up so that they can enhance their beauty every day. The goal is not for them to cover up their face, but to feel encouraged and worthy so that they can heal from the inside. I have seen the idea in practice while working for the American cancer society. For them especially, it is crucial that they receive extra help to see that they can be super beautiful despite their situation. By applying simple make-up on their faces, I saw them blossom up from the inside. My favorite phrase is “Beauty saved the Beast”. If it had not been for the beauty industry, I'm not sure what I would have become. It was my passion and love for the beauty industry that kept me going.
Aisha Carter Cathey is a Master Cosmetologist, public speaker, multi-business ownwer and an entrepreneur. Her life passion is to help people heal from the inside and out using beauty.

Quote: "As a person thinketh, so is he." What is an interesting fact about you that most people may not know?
"My multiple brands create platforms for others to excel. I want to see others win. I am passionate about uplifting and empowering others, especially Christian women."
"Most people are surprised when I tell them that I'm an introvert! I've learned that you have to speak up — even if it pushes you outside your comfort zone."
What is your definition of a successful woman and how does she make history?
What do you feel are the 3 qualities a leader should have? "1. Integrity - Do what you say. Say what you mean. When circumstances shift during a transaction or project, you should honor your word even if it means financial loss or a goal shortfall. 2. Honor - Meet people where they are and show them respect even if you dislike them or what they are doing or saying. Give team members the opportunity to succeed at their highest reach. 3. Courage - A true leader is a person of influence who will do what's right even when it's difficult, even if they prefer not to stick their neck out there. "
What is the most important aspect(s) of your brand?
"A successful woman knows who she is and whom she belongs to. Her focus is on God's purpose in her life. She is confident in Him and knows she will not fail. She is willing to do the work and bring others alongside her. She is not envious of others and does not compare herself to others because she understands that she has been uniquely qualified by God and been given the anointing only for what He has called her to. She makes history by rising to God's highest purpose for her life. "

Leaders should have a clear vision of where the organization is headed and how to get there. Provide your team with the company's longterm goals. If they know what they're working toward, they may be better equipped to manage setbacks. 2. Motivate and Inspire - The best leaders drive their team forward with passion, enthusiasm, inspiration, and motivation. Invest time in the people you lead to determine their strengths, needs, and priorities. As well as making them feel valuable, this will help you understand the best way to motivate them. Continually reinforce how their efforts make a difference and encourage the development of their potential with meaningful goals and challenges. 3. Empower others - Great leaders understand that for people to give their best, they must have a sense of ownership over their work and believe that what they’re doing is meaningful. Communicate clear goals and deadlines to your team, and then give them the
autonomy and authority to decide how the work gets done. Challenge them with high expectations and encourage them to be creative and show innovation."
What is the most important aspect(s) of your brand? "School and center leaders are successful in bringing about change when they have an overriding vision of where they want their program to go, know what is needed to implement change, and are an active part of the change process. Consultants can play an important role in developing that leadership agenda through strategic planning, helping define the mission and the vision, correcting areas of non-compliance with regulations, and revising programs, along with addressing more narrowly defined needs. That is why I launched Global Preschool Consulting to help early childcare educators like yourself navigate the pitfalls of growing a business in this industry and learn how to thrive as an entrepreneur. My goal is to meet you where you are. Building a preschool empire means that you are required to understand all facets of the business inside out and if you aren’t careful you could get yourself into all sorts of legal trouble, but you can avoid all of this if you are managing your businesses the right way and I am going to show you how."
What is your definition of a successful woman and how does she make history? "A successful woman is clear about her goals. She believes she has a right to dream and achieve her goals. This also gives her the inner strength to go through hurdles with an open mind and seek to learn and grow. A higher vision for life is the foundation for all this."
What events, programs, or offers do you have on the horizon? "I'll be running a summit in June entitled "ABCs and 123s of Building a Childcare Empire. It's a free summit for the ECE community that will assist inspiring or existing owners/directors with laying a solid foundation. I also have a masterclass each month and an Iconic Ability group in Facebook."

What is your definition of a successful woman and how does she make history?
"I spent two years at Inner Visions Institute for Spiritual Development. This is Rev. Dr. Iyanla Vanzant's School. I was suffering in silence for about 10 years, I was addicted to grief. Healing put the joy back into my life. I aligned with my purpose by owning my healing and becoming a Certified Spiritual Grief Life Coach. As a result, I created an Academy/Support Group to support others similar to how I was supported. Iyanla fixed my life. It's my goal to stop 100 people this year from suffering in silence."
"My definition of a successful woman is one who knows herself; honors herself; trusts God, accepts herself and others; she's able to be herself; without compromising her values. A successful woman lives in gratitude and appreciates herself and others. She sees a loving essence in everyone. She has a Kingdom vision and positively impacts the world and preparing to leave an inheritance for her children and her children's children. Most importantly, she's doing what she loves and people call her blessed."
