We have pulled together the best research and information on dementia care design to offer the best of life in our memory care centres. The design creates a connection with nature, in keeping with the latest biophilic principles. This holistic approach has many proven health benefits including stress reduction, improved cognitive performance and enhanced mood. Every facet of our memory care centre has been thought through to help stimulate memories and reduce confusion and anxiety.

A circular design creates a continuous corridor around our centres, so residents can move freely and securely. Unique design features such as wall murals help residents find their way around. The ability to personalise the space just outside each apartment also assists with wayfinding. Throughout the centre, calming colours and consistent flooring materials, along with easily recognisable signs, are used to help residents avoid feeling disorientated while guiding lights are used to assist during the night. Sensory room with garden – the sensory room houses interactive activities creating a stimulating environment, encouraging residents to engage all their senses. The sensory room looks onto a garden with a range of plants and other sensory experiences.

Central courtyard – a stunning central courtyard with seating allows residents to move freely between indoors and outdoors.

Choice of modern apartments Our generous apartments offer open plan living in a secure environment.

Many people living with dementia are still active and our apartments are generously sized, allowing freedom of movement and space for personal belongings. Friends and family are welcome to stay overnight, and pets can visit during the day. Our residents can choose from a range of spacious standard or premium apartments. Each apartment has a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, a spacious living area and kitchenette. The entrance to each apartment is personalised with the resident’s name on their uniquely designed door, as well as a pinboard for displaying photos and a shelf for personal items such as plants or ornaments. Each apartment has a view of either the beautifully landscaped village gardens or the memory care centre courtyard garden.
