Welcome to Summerset memory care

Meals

Meals are designed to ensure a balanced nutritional diet and are served in a shared kitchen. Residents can get involved with activities such as baking, so they are involved with making their own food. Residents can choose to eat their meals in the communal dining areas with other residents or in their apartments.

Tailored care

We work with our residents and their families and together create a personalised care plan. Our care plans are designed to support the resident to remain independent, while we take care of the little things. The personalised care plan is shared with everybody involved in the resident’s care; staff and family.

Staying active

Residents have plenty to do, with both tailored one-on-one and group activities. Activity programmes are planned monthly, and run seven days a week, with modifications for individual residents so they can continue with activities they enjoy.

Supporting technology

Motion sensors are used throughout the building including sensor lighting in bathrooms. The sensors are linked to the nurse call system ensuring discreet monitoring of residents to ensure safety while retaining dignity. Call buttons are in each apartment and are monitored 24/7. Technology also enables us to provide families with information on how the resident is settling into the memory care centre.
