3-2-1 blast off, there’s this boy I know, Who gets into adventure everywhere he goes. He rides on rockets and dragon tails, He punishes bad guys and never fails. This boy has the power to judge right from wrong. This boy packs big punches because he is strong. It doesn’t matter that he’s just six years old, The whole world knows him as brave and bold. Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you, A smart, well-mannered child who is honest and true. Next time you hear news about a kid making a monster cry, You can be sure it’s our hero, the courageous QT Pi!

Once upon a lovely time‌

One cheery day, QT’s parents took him to Shape-a-Palooza. It was a fun carnival full of shapes that you could ride on and play with. He looped along on the double circle roller coaster. Then he spun up, around and down on the spiral carousel. He rock climbed on the mighty pyramids. After that, he flipflopped around on the bouncy jelly cubes. He even got to meet his all-time favourite characters – Squishy Square and Rock Rectangle. After all that excitement, he was hungry, and also a bit dizzy. He got some ice cream and licked it down to the cone.

‘Watch out! Hey!’ said a tiny voice. ‘Huh? Oh I’m sorry. Is somebody there?’ asked QT. ‘I’m Treeny the Triangle,’ answered the voice. ‘I am hiding in this cone.’ ‘Why are you hiding?’ asked QT. ‘The Blobby Monster is hungry for triangles today. He thinks we are sandwiches, pizza slices and nacho chips. He will stop at nothing to get us!’ ‘Oh no!’ said QT. ‘How can I help you?’ ‘Please help me solve the Great Triangle Riddle. The answer will send Blobby back to his home,’ Treeny explained. Then he hopped onto QT’s head. ‘I’ll stay disguised as your hat,’ he said.

After ten minutes, they reached the Great Triangle Riddle. There was a sign that read, ‘You’re here to send Blobby home. We are glad you did arrive. What shape do triangles make, when they come together as five?’ ‘What shape can you make out of five triangles?’ they both wondered. Hmm...

Treeny danced around forming patterns everywhere. 2 triangles = diamond 3 triangles = trapezium 4 triangles = yet another triangle

Treeny and QT didn’t notice that someone was watching them. Out jumped a big blob. ‘GOT YA you yummy triangle! I am Blobby and it’s time for my snack!’ He was licking his lips. ‘Oh no you don’t,’ said QT. He thought hard. ‘I must send this monster home. Five triangles make what shape?’ ‘Think QT! Think!’ yelled Treeny. He was in Blobby’s paws.

QT looked up at the sky. He saw stars! ‘The answer is a star. Five triangles can make a star! I solved it!’ Suddenly five triangles appeared flying in the air. They formed a star and spun towards Blobby who was looking very surprised. He began to float up, up and away. ‘Take that you foolish monster. Eat your meals on time and stop eating junk food!’ commanded QT.

Treeny smiled. ‘Thank you QT. You saved my life. I grant you free visits to Shape-a-Palooza forever!’ Awesome! QT was super happy. He had saved his friend!
