Although not with the ferocity of the September flooding, the second storm of the season caused damage, evacuations and flooding this week. On Monday night the DANA weather phenomenon saw between 40 and 90 litres per square metre of rainfall on the Vega Baja in a 24-hour period. As daylight broke on Tuesday the rain changed to wind, gusting at up to 65 kilometres per hour in
places, and the sea joined in by lashing the coastline with strong waves. In Pilar de la Horadada, lanes through the AP-7 motorway tunnel had to be closed for several hours due to flooding, although it was only on the surface of the road and not submerged as it was in September. In Los Alcázares around 100 homes had to be evacuated as a precautionary measure, with

Germany, France, Belgium and Poland, at the request of family members, relatives and friends of the recipients. According to the president of the entity, Francisco Oliva, this initiative "is a great effort, but worth it" by "the impact it has on a sentimental level." "We deliver much more than delicious pomegranates, because in each case there are a lot of emotions, lots of hugs and kisses managing to unite distances so that people outside can feel close to the warmth of its people and the flavours of this earth." The DOP of Granada Mollar Elche covers 40 municipalities in the regions of L'Alacantí, Baix Vinalopó and Vega Baja, where more than 50,000 tonnes per year and concentrated around 75% of the national production of the fruit.
PLAN YOUR 2020 FESTIVALS NOW Whether you´re looking for an unusual Christmas gift for a loved one who has everything, or just want to plan a treat for yourself, Spain will be playing host to some top musical stars next year, but they are likely to be sell-out events, so now is the time to plan ahead. MAD COOL is from 8 to 11 July in Madrid, although perhaps a bit pricey at 160 euro, the event will feature headliners Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Pixies, Faith No More, The Killers and Kings of Leon. BILBAO BBK LIVE clashes with the dates, taking place between 9 and 11 July, and a little cheaper at 140 euro, with Kendrick Lamar, The Killers, Pet Shop Boys and Bad Bunny as the headliners, as well as Caribou, Supergrass, The Rapture, and Acid Arab. SONORAMA takes place between 12 and 16 August in Aranda de Duero, and a bargain at just 70 euro, featuring Amaral, Celtas Short, Def With Two Children of the Mediterranean, Kaiser Chiefs, and The Lightning Seeds. PRIMAVERA SOUND takes place in Barcelona from 3 to 7 June, costing

180 euro and featuring the likes of Pavement, Chromatics, Bikini Kill, Les Amazones d'Afrique, Sudan Archives, Park Hye Jin, Mavis Staples, Jenny Hval and Kim Gordon. FIB at Benicasim is perhaps one of the most famous events and not a million miles away from us here, taking place between 16 and 19 July, costing just 65 euro and featuring Khalid, Vampire Weekend, Armin Van Buuren, The Kooks, Rita Ora, Martin Garrix, Crystal Fighters, The Libertines, Don Diablo, Foals, The Lumineers, Steve Aoki, and Kaiser Chiefs. You might struggle to get a ticket for this event though as reservations pretty much sold out the moment they went on sale. SANSAN is also at Benicasim between 9 and 11 April, costing just 45 euro, and returning after rain cancelled the 2019 event, with top acts like Dorian, New Carminha lot, White Palamera, Badlands, Nerabe, Leiva, La Casa Azul, Carolina Durante, and Miss Caffeina. ARENAL SOUND is held at Burriana from 28 July to 2 August, with acts still being booked the only confirmations so far are DJ Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Zara Larsson and Leiva. If music isn´t your thing then there are always the other main summer festivals to consider, the Tomatina, for example, or the Running of the Bulls, as well as Moors and Christians, Medieval Markets, and many more events that we will furnish you with the details of when we get a little nearer.

some places. The flow of the water from the land was battling the Mediterranean Sea as they converged on the beaches. In Orihuela, Cala Bosque and La Zenia both suffered material damage and the false sand levels were washed away in parts. In Guardamar, infamous Playa Babilónia, location of controversial fishermen´s cottages, was once again battered, resulting in further damage to the properties built within the perimeter of the coastal zone. In Elche, Arenales del Sol suffered damage
as the water washed away the sand, similar movements happening in Santa Pola and the La Marina and El Altet beaches. As the week continued, so did the rain, but seemingly easing with each passing hour, with many people breathing a sigh of relief that the damage wasn´t as bad as September, although with much of the repair work incomplete, the latest downpour adding to the stresses of living in an area where sudden downpours are renowned during the autumn and again in Spring.

ORIHUELA COMMEMORATES INTERNATIONAL DISABILITY DAY Orihuela celebrated the International Disability Day this week with the reading of a manifesto prepared by Carmen Diaz, the president of the local representative association, Orihuela Sin Barreras, along with Vicente Vazquez, director of the ONCE group. The day is recognised globally as December 3rd and is often accompanied by celebrations throughout the
week, as was the case in Orihuela who commemorated the day for the first time this year. However, the weather played a part in postponing some of the celebrations, such as the “Walk with Me” march and the theatrical performance, “Disability Rights”, which will now take place this Wednesday, 11 December, at the Maria Moliner public library.

BUDGET BOOST The provincial government has announced that the budget for 2020 will be higher than that of 2019, amounting to 223 million euro. As the PP and Ciudadanos coalition crunched the numbers this week, the news increases the amount of money available
by 9 million euro, after the 2019 allocation stood at 214 million. This budget is for the competencies within the control of the province and is on top of the budgets each municipality works with. The increase also comes with news that central government funding has reduced
by 800,000 euro as a result of the difference in income forecast from 2017, taking into account locations where a reduction in residents has been seen, such as in Torrevieja, calculated by the number of people registered on the padrón. The meeting was held in Elche, seen as a key location as it played host to the signing of the political pact between the coalition parties, and saw each department present their plans for how their budget will be spent and the goals and projects of their areas to coordinate strategies and policies to be developed. The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, was present in his capacity as deputy president and member of the government responsible for the economy.

WHAT’S THE PROBLEM WITH MY UK ADVISER? By Sam Kelly DipPFS, BA (Hons), Managing Partner, Chorus Financial. It’s certainly taken a few years, and perhaps Brexit has been a catalyst, but we are receiving more and more referrals from UK IFAs here at Chorus, who have had to tell their clients they can no longer be their adviser. There are two main reasons for this. Firstly, licenses. There is a strong business case for Chorus to maintain our licenses in both the UK and Spain – we have lots of clients in both countries. For a UK IFA to be able to give advice to a Spanish resident, they need to also be licensed in Spain with the CNMV (the Spanish investment regulator). Clearly, not many UK based IFAs will have the volume of Spanish resident clients to justify having a Spanish license, and although many UK IFAs have continued to advise their non-UK clients, they really shouldn’t be, and this is starting to catch up with them. If you have a UK IFA, I would advise contacting them to ask for reassurance that they have the appropriate license in place to advise a Spanish resident. The second reason; appropriate knowledge of Spanish taxation and access to appropriate products. Here in Spain, we have products that have

been specifically designed for Spanish residents, taking into consideration Spanish tax laws, reporting requirements etc. To offer these products you need to be licensed in Spain. Correctly structured products can offer substantial tax and financial planning benefits, just as incorrectly structured products can do the opposite. For example, if you hold a UK investment bond – these are offered by lots of companies like Aviva, Prudential etc, you may not be aware, but these retain a 20% Life fund tax before you see your returns. This tax is not reclaimable under the Double Tax Agreement between the UK and Spain, meaning that when you draw your money from such investments, you are subject to further taxation at local Spanish rates of either 19%, 21% or 23%. This means you are unwittingly paying up to 43% tax on your gains, simply because your UK adviser put you into a product designed for UK tax residents, rather than Spanish tax residents! There are almost identical products
One area to be wary of is if you are recommended a Spanish compliant bond with a tie-in or a high annual fee – these products are now available with no tie-in from as little as 0.25% through Chorus.
available here in Spain, designed for Spanish tax residents, from the same household name companies you used when you lived in the UK. As an example of the tax efficiency, if you invested £100k into a properly compliant Spanish bond (rather than the UK version), and it grew by 10%, and you withdrew that £10,000 growth, you would pay just £171 in tax on the withdrawal, with any further tax-deferred. As a Spanish compliant product this tax would be calculated for you and paid on your behalf directly to the tax authorities, with nothing more for you or your accountant to do. If we compare that to the first scenario, not only are you saving many thousands of pounds in tax, but you
Although I certainly don’t think these errors from UK IFAs are deliberate, they are very common and can cause serious problems and unnecessary taxation for you further down the line. We understand you may have a longstanding relationship in place with your UK adviser, and they may have done a great job for you when you lived in the UK, but at the end of the day, your financial well-being has to come first. I am more than happy to give personal advice based on your individual circumstances and explain how exactly the taxation works on Spanish compliant products. If you wish to discuss your pensions or investments, without pressure or obligation, please contact me directly on +34 664 398 702 or s.kelly@ chorusfinancial.es.

CALLS TO CUT CHRISTMAS LIGHTS A consumer watchdog is urging municipal governments not to spend money on Christmas decorations this year, but rather to donate the savings to help the needy.
Consumers in Action have asked town mayors to end what they call the “obscene and embarrassing spectacle” when there are people living on the streets and families who are cold because they do not even have to pay their electricity bills for their homes. The group singled out places such as Málaga where more than 800,000 euro is spent, Vigo who has allocated
around 1.1 million and Madrid where the Christmas bill will be more than 3 million euro, an increase of 27.7% compared to last year. Considering the Christmas season lasts little more than a month, the combined expense of the three locations highlighted would pay the electricity bill for around 60,000 families for the entire year. The increase in spending in Madrid is particularly insulting, the group says, when health care has faced cuts and ambulance workers went on strike this year to highlight their lack of funding.

TRAVEL BANNED

A 25-year-old woman from the Valencia town of Alboraya has denounced Ryanair for refusing to allow her to travel because her wheelchair wouldn´t fit on the plane. Belén Hueso, who suffers from Freidreich’s ataxia, has managed to get the money back, but wants to raise awareness of the plight of people with reduced mobility when trying to make travel plans. Despite complying with the requirements to register the wheelchair in advance, the airline contacted her to say that travel would not be possible.
Three Romanian men have been arrested in Crevillente after the Guardia Civil caught them in a highend car thanks to a tip-off from members of the public. The men are accused of stealing mobile phones valued at 9,000 euro from various stores around Spain where two of the men pretended to be beggars to lull staff into a false sense of security. The third man was the driver of the car.
SCHOOL BLUES Explosive experts were called into an educational migrant centre in Madrid after a grenade was thrown over the wall. The centre has been criticised in the past by far-right groups who claim that it looks after “young foreign criminals”. The centre has been attacked several times in the past, but this latest attempt is the most worrying to police as the grenade was of “military-grade”.
BLEAK FRIDAY According to a survey conducted by the FACUA consumer association, more than 80% of consumers believe that most businesses offer false discounts as part of Black Friday promotions. The survey, which has been conducted every year since 2015, reveals 83% of shoppers believe firms falsify part of the discounts offered, 10% think that these irregularities are committed by half of the shops. Only 1% believe that the discounts are genuine in all stores.

PET SAFETY THIS CHRISTMAS toys! If you have a curious dog or cat, keep them away from your Christmas tree when you are out of the house. Remember that cats especially love to play with tinsel, but if ingested it can cause an intestinal blockage, so it's best to keep tinsel and other decorations out of their reach.
December is filled with Christmas joy and excitement. It should be a fun time of year for all of the family, not just for the humans. But for our furry friends, this season is filled with many temptations, unusual smells, decorations and tasty treats, some of which can be quite harmful to them. Here I will give you tips to keep your pets out of trouble, so an emergency vet trip can be avoided this Christmas. Christmas trees. As eye-catching as they can be to us, a Christmas tree is just as eye-catching to our pets. It's full of textures, scents and hanging
Chocolate. Resist the puppy eyes! Chocolate is toxic for dogs and can make your furry friend very ill. Every year during the festive period there is a significant increase in the risk of chocolate poisoning in dogs. Take care and keep those chocolate treats out of reach. Christmas cakes are usually soaked in alcohol and contain raisins, currants
and candied grapes, all of which are toxic to dogs and cats.

Turkey bones and other meat bones can break and obstruct our pet's bodies causing them serious harm. If possible avoid giving them bones and opt for cooked meat in small quantities instead. Electrical cords should be covered especially if you have puppies or kittens in the house. It's better to be safe than sorry. Hide or cover these cords or keep them in a room where your pets don't access. The popular decorative plants like holly, mistletoe, and poinsettia can be poisonous if ingested. There are many beautiful fake varieties available instead, or if purchasing the real plants, keep them out of reach of your furry family members. It's not worth the heartbreak. Candles. They may add to the Christmas atmosphere but keep the flames away from your pets
as they can easily burn their paws and curious noses. There's also a risk of knocking them over accidentally, so please be cautious and be sure not to leave lit candles unattended.

YOUR VIBE ATTRACTS YOUR TRIBE We have all had those moments of meeting someone new and just 'Getting them' We feel this amazing connection, they seem to understand us and us, them. These people are, our people. Our tribe. Recently I met with a relatively new friend that I only got acquainted with this year. She moved over from the UK in her campervan and took up residence on the coast, near to where I live in Torrevieja. We were introduced to each other by another dear friend of mine, who I also see as one of my tribe. My newish friend, moved further down the coast in the summer, to be with her new partner and we now only see each other about once every six weeks, with not much contact in between. However, when we get together it's like we have never been apart. I call her my soul sister. We have led different lives, in different places, yet we know each other. Maybe our soul's recognise each other from different lives, I don't know. But I know that every time we meet, we seem to have a hidden agenda that neither of us knows about at the time of arranging the get-together. We have conversations that feed us both, we support without judgement, we search for answers for each other's dilemmas and we laugh a lot. She warms my heart and I know I warm hers. When you move from the country you were born in to live somewhere else, you can quite often feel isolated, you have probably moved away from your tribe in your own country because you want to start a new life and have new adventures. But it's not easy. You long for the familiarity of people knowing you. Of history, you have between you and the trust and love. You miss the
togetherness, the vibe of your tribe.
So how do you start creating a new family? In a new place? I would say the best place to start is in places where people like doing things you like doing, where people have the same passions. It's no good, going and doing things that others do, just because they like it. You have to follow your heart in
these matters after it is your heart that feels the energy of another and resonates with it. It's your heart that says ' This one belongs in your tribe, keep them close, welcome them into your world.' If you want happy people around you, you must eminent authentic happiness. Be fun. I am not talking about being false when you are having a down day, we all have them and our tribe will embrace these too. But give out what you want to receive back and watch how god people that are right for you begin to appear. So I guess what I am saying is, your heart will show you the way to your soul family, where ever you are. You
just have to trust it. And also believe that in your loneliest moments, they are people out there waiting for you. Waiting for that connection. In life we often expect our family to be the ones closest and this can be the case, but also in the same breathe we shouldn't expect it. When we have expectations of our families, it can
often ruin our relationships with them and although blood is thicker than water, it doesn't always mean that we carry the same vibe. I believe that the right people come to you, in your life at the right time. Like they have been sent, to be your friend, your lover, your helper or your guide. For whatever reason, they present themselves, and it feels right. These are the people who make you feel like you are safe, that you can open your heart and it will be held and protected, not hurt. And if there are times of misunderstanding, forgiveness is the easiest thing. In a new environment, it often takes courage to get out there and find

your tribe, but when you find them, you realise that every bit of discomfort you felt, was worth it. So with no more to say than, let your heart guide you and trust that it knows what is good for you. That when you feel that connection, when you think to yourself, I want to be around this person more, embrace it, allow it and be grateful for it. Because you are worthy of it. Give others the opportunity of knowing you and what lights you up, you ever know, it may just light them up to. There is real beauty in being open and vulnerable to the right ones. If you are feeling lonely and lacking in courage, to take the first steps to allow others in, or you have been hurt so much before you have closed your heart, why not contact me and allow me to guide you and walk with you to find your tribe. This article is a tribute to my soul sister 'Esther' and all my other soul tribe, that I have the privilege of having in my life. Thank you, I love you. SLEEP PROBLEMS? HOW TO LOOK FORWARD TO BEDTIME! Sleep. We can't live without it. It is as essential to our life as eating, drinking and breathing. When we sleep our body gets a chance to focus on regenerating, repairing and healing. But for some of us sleeping is a challenge. And the longer we go without sleep, the more we dread the night time when there is nothing more to do than spend another sleepless night tossing and turning. As you get older it is said that, we need less sleep, mainly because we generally do less and rest more in the day, but with new statistics showing that more and more people are laying down their limiting beliefs that retirement is a time do less and more a time to take up all those things you never had time to do when you were working. Sleep should certainly be something we get plenty of and wake up from, feeling replenished and ready for a new day. So what are those all-important life hacks that we can use to make sure sleep is easy? 1. Avoid using electronic devices late in the evening. If you can turn off phones and laptops at least an hour before you go to bed. This allows your brain time to relax and unwind and stops it from being overstimulated. 2. Taking a warm bath, helps your body relax as well as your mind. Maybe add a few drops of lavender oil, which is said to induce sleep and reduce activity in the brain. Remember how you always had a bath as a child, before you went to
bed? 3. Write down a list of things you need to do or achieve the next day so that you don't get into bed and start mulling it all over and worrying your self about the day ahead. 4. Tell yourself you are going to have a good night's sleep. The subconscious part of your brain acts on your thought's and programs your body to act accordingly. Thought's do become things you know!
get some balance by incorporating exercise.
5. Spend time once you are in bed, breathing deeply to relax. The breath is a great way to release any tensions that you have built up over the day. You can also download apps, that help you with sleeping.
8. Try some yoga or meditation before bed, so your mind is clearer and your body is stress-free.
6. Avoid caffeine or other stimulants such as alcohol, that disturb your sleep patterns. Try a camomile tea, instead!
10. Right down 5 things you are grateful for. To help your brain feel positive and happy. And focused on any negativity you have experienced during the day.
7. If you have a job that stretches you mentally but not physically. Try to
9. Eat a light meal, nothing too heavy, so your body isn't working overtime digesting and you are comfortable without feeling bloated.

surroundings and a comfy and supportive mattress, then doesn't encourage any physical aches and pains you make be experiencing. 12. If you have a partner, cuddle up. Human contact is a wonderful way to soothe away the day. If you are still struggling to sleep, after a half an hour in bed. Don't lie there struggling, get up maybe read a book, with a low light on. This will help you get rid of any overthinking and help you become tired naturally. As opposed to trying to force yourself to sleep. The more you toss and turn the more you become aware of the lack of sleep.
Dear Davina... Dear Davina, Do you think it would be a good idea for me to contact my ex-boyfriend after many years, 22 in fact? The truth is I never really stopped loving him and the reasons we parted were really just silly. I’m not sure if he is with someone now, married or single but I feel like I will never stop feeling this way. What should I do? J. Dear J A lot of things can happen in 22 years, things that could be utterly destroyed if you
started to open up the doors again. If your feelings are as strong as you say then are you certain you would automatically be able to stop them if you found out he was happily married with a loving family? Just think of the devastation you could cause. People also change an enormous amount in 22 years, would he even still be the boy/man that you remember? You are remembering him for the good times but at the end of the day you still parted. True love is meant to be, it never ends. So my thoughts are that you should leave it be and if your paths cross or he finds a way back to you then it’s meant to be forever. Stop wasting your time of thought and energy on the past and focus
ahead to new beginnings. The love of your life will always come once your mind is in the right place. It’s not only about the heart. Peace love and happiness, Davina xxx Do you want help or advice from Davina? Ingredients • 1/2 cup of extravirgin olive oil • 3 pounds of 1-inch-thick boneless pork blade chops, cut into 1-inch cubes • 1 large onion, finely chopped • 5 large garlic cloves minced, • 1 1/2 cups dry white wine • 1 tbsp of tomato paste • 1 1/2 of cups water • Finely grated zest of 1 lemon • 3 bay leaves • 3 thyme sprigs • 1 1/2 teaspoons of paprika • 1 baguette, sliced 1/2 inch thick • 1 1/2 pounds kale, coarsely chopped • Spicy Red Pepper Sauce • Freshly ground pepper • 3 pounds of cockles, washed • Handful of chopped cilantro • Salt Method In a large casserole dish, warm 1/4 cup of the olive oil. Add half the minced onion and garlic to the casserole and stir until soft. Add the wine and cook on high heat until reduced by a third. Stir in 1/2 cup of the Spicy Red Pepper Sauce and pepper. Cover and keep warm. Heat the remaining 2 tbsp of olive oil. Add the remaining minced onion and garlic and cook over medium heat until soft about. Add the cockles and the remaining Spicy Red Pepper Sauce, cover and cook until most of the shells have opened. Pour the cockles and their juices into the pork stew and gently stir. Cook until heated. Pop stew into bowls, add cilantro and serve with garlic toast.
13 You can't beat a good old stew to warm you through and leave you feeling full and contented. As we look towards the winter months, we are all wanting a little more sustenance. In winter our bodies work harder to keep us warm and although we don't live in a cold country we certainly do feel the chill, as we have less strength in the sunlight hours. With all this in mind, why not try these winter warmers, that are perfect for midday with a glass of vino or served for supper with a stodgy pud to follow.

A MINI PRICE TAG Okay, okay, we accept that the headline was just a play on words, after all, there really is nothing small about the price of the new Mini John Cooper Works GP. Following the world premiere of the sporty new version of the popular classic in the Los Angeles Hall, more details of the most radical and exclusive model of the British brand are out. According to the information, the exclusive character of the new MINI John Cooper Works GP, oriented without compromise to the pleasure of extreme driving, is expressed both in its power and its performance. More clearly than ever, its position is at the forefront of the MINI and John Cooper Works model range. The car itself is more powerful than any

The taxis used a 40-cell battery and 3-bhp electric motor and could be driven 50 miles between being charged, what we call “autonomy” today. Spotlight On... Melissa Fanning
This week’s spotlight is on Melissa fanning a petite slip of a girl with one huge voice. Melissa became interested in music when she was influenced by her father’s old record collection in Drogheda, County Louth in Ireland where her family came from.
A shy girl from a young age she knew she wanted to sing but nerves were a big problem. She entered a few competitions which often took her to the finals and sang in a few bars before she left Ireland and followed her dreams and moved to Spain. For the first few years Melissa worked behind a bar and sang on karaoke eventually getting to help the resident compare, she gave her time to charity events for free to gain her confidence which was difficult due to having no family or

DANIELLA UPDATE
Since our last article in Sunshine News, poor Daniella has had a few convulsions & has been going backwards instead of forwards. This has meant that she has stopped doing things that she used to be able to do such as the simple activity of rolling over by herself.
Mitochondrial disease is an awful horrific disease, watching your child suffer every day with this disease is like having a ticking timebomb that you don't know when it will go off.

We literally have to live day by day to is very hard to make plans as we are in and out of hospital like yo yo`s for various Hospital appointments plus she gets sick regularly. On top of this, last week my bag was stolen which contained all my equipment for Daniella. Her nebuliser, her oximeter and a few other bits have all gone. These things are very expensive to replace. We do have a fundraiser on Daniella's Facebook page
( Team Daniella-Sixx - Mitochondrial disease warrior) if you can help us. It is coming up Christmas and our wish is for a cure for Mitochondrial disease. The more general awareness if this disease, then the more hope we have. Daniella is such a special beautiful little girl - life is so cruel. Thank you to all Team Daniella Supporters, x

SANTA POLA POLE-AXED Monte Maintain The Pace At The Top Of The Pile. TEAM:- Carlos (13), Pepe (3), Manuel Sanchez (9), Santos (4), Manu (5), Diego Ramirez (12), Luis (19), Dario (21), Maccan (23), Gonzalo (22), Andres (24). SUBs:- Morante(2), Alfredo (10), Diego (15), Dimitry (20), Nickel Chepov (7) A brace either side of the break saw off a spirited display from a decent Santa Pola XI last Sunday and top scorer GONZALO (22) showed he also has finishing skills from the spot in his locker, but also his dark side too. Santa Pola started the encounter much the better team and, surprise surprise, opened the scoring with a few minutes gone when a loose ball (yet again!) wasn't cleared in the box allowing the striker to prod home (yet again!). When will Monte stop giving these daft early goals away? Balance, however, was restored a few minutes later when a trademark LUIS (19) slide-rule pass sprang the offside trap allowing MACCAN (23) to coolly finish. At last, Monte were up and awake. Monte then moved in front when an inexplicable handball in the box gifted them a penalty. Up strode GONZALO (22) with an audacious chip over the prone keeper that just stayed under the bar. Breathtaking stuff for the 50+ travelling support. Monte went in for the half-time orange much deserved of their lead. HT: CF Santa Pola City A 1 2 CD Montesinos

Any lingering hopes of yet another Monte defending freebie for Santa Pola were dashed at the start of the half, when apparent confusion over a penalty appeal saw a statuesque home defence allow MANU (5) to cheekily flick home.
CryptoGram Hockey is a sport for white men. Basketball is a sport for black men. Golf is a sport for white men dressed like black pimps. - Tiger Woods
that point on, although the home side tried to mount attacks they were easily repelled by a combination of stout defence and alert keeping. Monte went further in front when a marauding MACCAN (23) was ruthlessly hacked down in the area allowing GONZALO (22) to complete his brace, smashing the ball home this time. There followed a series of forced/ unforced Monte substitutions that disturbed the previous equilibrium and allowed Santa Pola back into the game and with 10 minutes to go, a direct free-kick, out wide left, slipped by everybody, giving the home team a glimmer of hope. The game closed out with a collection of bizarre and unnecessary refereeing decisions that ultimately ended with a distraught Gonzalo (22) getting his marching orders, presumably for dissent. He'll now miss an indeterminate number of games. His presence and goals will be missed. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Monte more than saw the game comfortably out, but the dark spectre of accumulated yellows now hangs over a squad that must continue to pull together in the same direction if they are to beat off their challengers and win promotion. JOSHUA AND WHYTE SET TO MAKE HUGE STATEMENTS IN SAUDI ARABIA Anthony Joshua faces the biggest fight of his career this Saturday night when he faces the fast and awkward Andy Ruiz Jr. in a rematch which has been labelled "Clash in the Dunes" Former world champion Anthony Joshua has promised to become to regain the heavyweight throne in two weeks. On December 7th in Saudi Arabia, Joshua will face IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in a rematch. Ruiz captured the four world titles back in June when he dropped Joshua four times for a seventh-round stoppage at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It has been reported by Joshua’s camp that he is in the form of his life and his training camp has gone to plan with bis team giving Joshua many sparring partners with the Ruiz style of fighting so he is fully prepared for the rematch. Joshua, a former Olympic gold medalist has denied claims that he has knocked out opponents during sparring ahead of his rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr. American heavyweight Timothy Moten
has been training with Joshua ahead of his second fight against Ruiz and says the Brit has been giving his sparring partners a tough time in the ring which has given people the impression that Joshua may have been ruthless in sparring. “There have been guys here, I don’t want to say any names, but I’ve seen guys come into camp, get blown away and get sent home that same week,” Moten told the worlds media on Thursday. Joshua later joked when responded to those rumours on Thursday afternoon. “Normally it’s the other way around, they are dropping me and sending me home! “ Joshua has also been speaking regularly to Wladimir Klitschko, who has given him “tonnes of advice” on cutting out salt, improving his hydration and how to prepare his body better. “It’s almost good that I lost because all of the sparring partners are coming out of the woodwork now, no one wanted to spar me before,” Joshua said.

"I'm a dangerous operator," added Whyte.
