Aventura’s Parks Packed With Fun By Lisa Overing - Aventura Digest

Saturday morning. 10:30. Yonit Bloom dons her latest bathing suit and saunters through Hidden Bay Condo’s lobby like a fashion model with her mom, Liz, for the short stroll to the SplashPad at Founder’s Park. It’s a refreshing way to start the weekend. “With the weather so hot, it’s been more SplashPad than anything else at the park,” says Liz Bloom. “Yonit sees her friends from school in the toddler area and even though

Yonit knows how to swim now, I think the water pad is safer than the pool. She comes back exhausted, ready for lunch and a nap.” With five primo parks, including a dog park, within the City of Aventura’s three mile radius, there’s some park that’s within walking distance of your condo, with activities for children of all ages. The parks are open from 8 AM until sundown, seven days a week. South Aventura is served by Veterans Park on 31st Avenue, a

two-acre park featuring a restroom, covered playground and soccer net. Waterways Park serves North Aventura with seven sprawling acres. With parking for 85 vehicles, it features a covered playground, shaded picnic tables, an exercise path with fitness stations, an outdoor basketball court, a lighted, multipurpose athletic field, and restrooms.
