GREETINGS TO ALL ADOBE MEMBERS AND FRIENDS

GLENNWALP A.D.O.B.E PRESIDENT

Are We Alone? “There are plenty of planets in the galaxy, many with similarities to our own. But what we don’t know fills volumes”…NASA - Exoplanet Exploration. Planets Beyond Our Solar System. The ADOBE Community Meeting for February 2024 will be a little different. Based on the request of some ADOBE members, we will get away from the business aspects of our usual monthly meetings and dig into the realm of the unknown. That is to try and address – from the perspectives of citizens of the Gold Canyon region - the ageold question of, Our We Alone. Although this question has been haunting the minds of men, perhaps since the Almighty brought Abram out of his tent and told him to look up into the galaxy and “Count the Stars”… Genesis 15:5, humans have perpetually wondered and delved into the question of whether humans are alone in this vast universe. Due to multiple verifiable “alien” type happenings throughout the world, including sightings by the United States military, the United States Congress - in a bilateral effort – recently introduced legislation - “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon (UAP) Disclosure Act of 2023,” – to attempt to open the books to the public. NASA is launching the “Habitable World Observatory” into space to search for signs of life since many NASA scientists believe life exists “out there.” Are these past and contemporary sightings figments of the imagination, easily explained events, perhaps wormholes into time, perchance spiritual (good or bad) phenomena of the Holy Writ, and maybe just futurist inventions of man’s mind? We just don’t know. On one side, politicians are trying to stop the public from knowing, or at least it seems so. Conversely, other politicians want to expose the happenings and have brought forward very credible individuals to justify their efforts. These persons who have testified before Congress and have governmental

jobs where they should know state that the government doesn’t know what they are seeing. So, what is it that mankind is seeing? ADOBE invites anyone with a story about their personal experience of this “alien” type phenomenon to attend our February 15, 2024, Community Meeting and tell your story. ADOBE has invited a representative from MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) to the meeting who will explain the events surrounding the 1997 “Lights Over Phoenix” happening that have never been revealed before. If you want to tell your story, please email ADOBE Board Member Ms. Terri Klucar at “theklucars@hotmail.com” and tell her you will attend. Or just show up and tell your story. This event is open - as are all ADOBE Community Meetings - to anyone, wherever you may reside. You do not have to be a member of ADOBE to attend. Since we know this will draw a large audience, time limits will be placed on all presenters to ensure time fairness for all presenters. The January 18, 2024, ADOBE Community Meeting will host Lieutenant Ross Teeple of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, who will present on matters related to current scams and frauds being launched on an unexpecting public, with particular emphasis on senior citizens. You don’t want to miss this meeting – the scams and frauds are legion. Both January and February ADOBE Community Meetings are being held at the Gold Canyon Best Western Hotel, with social time starting at 6:15 pm and the meeting at 7 pm. “This is Ellen Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo, signing off”…Sigourney Weaver, “Alien”, 1979.” Come to the meeting, and let’s have some serious fun. Staff Picks Of The Month

Hello Stranger by Katherine Center, recommended by Leah I loved this book! Katherine’s writing is like fine wine and gets better as the time goes on. This book took an idea I’d never known or heard about and made it a beautiful story. I loved seeing the world through Sadie’s eyes. If this book had a sequel, I’d read it! Her Perfect Twin by Sarah Bonner, recommended by Tracie Megan thinks she is happily married to her controlling perfectionist husband Chris until she sees a picture of herself on Chris’s cellphone - in underwear she does not own. Megan searches for the underwear, reviewing her recent activities and memories, which brings up the idea of her twin sister, Leah? as the poser in the picture on her husband’s phone. Megan is estranged from her sister but decides there is more going on in her life than she can grasp and decides to secretly see her sister, Leah, not telling Chris, to find out more about her own life. Out There Screaming: An Anthology of New Black Horror edited by Jordan Peele, recommended by Megan S. This collection of horror stories is gruesome and inventive, with barely a weak story in the bunch. Jordan Peele made outstanding selections that kept me reading – and wishing

What happens when you pick up the wrong gym bag because you are in a hurry? The contents are not yours – red designer shoes and a jacket. Sam is shocked but late for an important meeting with a client. She puts on the shoes, and this is the beginning of a life changing experience. Whose shoes are these? Nisha opens her gym bag only to find someone else’s shoes and clothes. A pair of shoes changes lives! This book was hard to put down! You’ll want to know what happens to Sam and Nisha. No murders, only a story about someone else’s shoes. The Christmas Bookshop by Jenny Colgan, recommended by Stephanie A lovely story about saving a bookshop in Edinburgh, Scotland. Family drama, growing up, a love story and a little Christmas magic are all wrapped up neatly in this charming book. Starter Villain by John Scalzi, recommended by Megan C. Inheriting your absentee uncle’s business can be an adjustment… especially when you find out he was a professional supervillain! From island volcanic lairs, to “hyperintelligent talking spy cats,” follow Charlie as he learns the ins and outs of modern villainy, while skirting assassination attempts from his uncle’s enemies. Perfect for fans of Despicable Me, this unique and satirical sci-fi pick is just plain fun, wholesome, and a little bit bizarre! Staff Book Club Pick: The Underneath by Kathi Appelt Our staff book club felt a lot of emotions reading this month’s choice. We enjoyed the setting of the bayou and the poetic writing style, but many of us felt it was heart wrenching and very sad. The dual narratives were interesting, and we enjoyed the sense of magic imbued in the pages of this book.

UNDERSTANDING & PREVENTING FROST DAMAGE

Frost is the most common type of cold weather plant injury in our area. When low temperatures combine with humidity and calm, clear nights, surfaces such as leaves and car windshields cool faster than the surrounding air, hence frost. Young plants, those recently transplanted, plants near washes and those planted in the open are particularly vulnerable. Frost is challenging enough but a freeze is worse. Temperatures dipping below 32 degrees and staying there for a period of time literally tears plant tissue apart. Now for the basics of protection. Since warmth at night radiates up from the earth and cold is dropping from the sky we want to cover the plants completely with the cloth going clear to the ground to trap the warmth of the earth. Use cloth not plastic since any part of the plant touching the plastic will not be protected. Install the covers in the afternoon before temperatures start to drop and remove them the next day as soon as the air has warmed back up to a safe level. This will allow the soil under the plants to heat up again. An incandescent light combined with cloth can protect even the most frost sensitive plants but use caution! Light bulbs can start fires and will burn any plant material they come in contact with. If frost damage has already occurred and your plants have taken on that ‘just blowtorched’ look, DO NOT TRIM IT OFF. The burnt foliage will provide some protection for the undamaged leaves underneath and help prevent further damage. It is usually safe to trim frost damage off around mid March. Most of our desert adapted plants will rise like the proverbial Phoenix if shown a little patience. At Smiling Dog Ranch, we tend to only cover a few of the most sensitive specimen plants like Myers lemon [damaged at 32 degrees]. We also cover the tips of most of the columnar cacti in our cactus & succulent nursery with cloth or Styrofoam cups.

By Marcia Nelson The Cowboys are comin’. They’re packin’ up their gear. And before you know it, the herds will be here! They’ve summered up North like the Snowbirds have been. Now they’re comin’ on back to warmer pastures again. What fun to catch a glimpse of the Old West’s fame. So when the cows do come home, we can all exclaim… Hooray for the Cowboys and Cowgirls too. They do their best to bring your cookouts to you!

A good site to check out for more information on the cold hardiness of desert plants is ‘Cold hardiness of Desert Plants Arid Zone trees’ , just google it!

LIVING YOUR LIFE

MOMENT BY MOMENT

As each new year starts it brings about thoughts of resolutions, intentions, and new beginnings. But did you know that almost all new year thoughts will center around being a better person? Whether it is about a heightened commitment to health and fitness, enhanced financial management, pursuing new knowledge for personal and professional growth or just being kinder, everyone desires to be a better person. One way to incorporate all the elements of being a better person is to be present in the moment or to be grounded. Grounding is not only developing a strong connection with reality, but it is allowing oneself to be present in the here and now. It is the place inside of you where you create a solid foundation from which you can navigate life’s ups and downs. Grounding oneself involves the opportunity to find inner balance and stability amidst external chaos. It is being physically, emotionally, and energetically firmly in the now. Being grounded is knowing that the small things matter. Every step you take and every smile you give counts. The foundation of our world rests on these seemingly little things. How much more impact can the big things have on you if you can be fully present in the tiny moments of your life? Have you ever noticed that when you smile at a stranger and they smile back, you feel better? That’s because for that moment you were focused on the immediate experience—without judgment or expectation. Being grounded and in the moment must be balanced by having a strong belief that good things will happen in one’s future. Positive forward thinking creates a sense of faith and security while creating the motivation to work for what we want in life. Casey Kasem, a well-known television and radio personality in the recording industry, closed each show’s remarks by saying, “Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars.” Kasem managed to summarize in that concise phrase the ideal plan for discovering one’s true potential for a better and balanced way to live. We can look to nature for examples on how to be grounded. Everywhere we look here in Arizona, we see the giant, multiarmed saguaros. Although most of the saguaro’s roots are only 4-6 inches deep, they radiate out as far from the plant as it is tall. Standing on the ground barefoot one can sink deeply

into the earth and become more connected as you visualize yourself rooted and grounded – magnificently connected and strong. However, the most instant and easiest way to become grounded is to focus on our breath. Focusing on your breath shifts your attention to the present moment and your thoughts and emotions inevitably follow. Here is a very simple breathing exercise that you can do whenever you feel like you are not present in the moment: •

Sit down in any comfortable position.

Close your eyes and place your hands on your thighs.

Now, take a slow and deep breath while counting to ten at the same time.

Hold your breath and again, count to ten.

Slowly exhale through your nose and count to ten while you are doing it.

Expand the time of this practice to 5 minutes.

Need a quick reminder to be grounded? You can always take three deep breaths, anywhere, anytime!

The present moment is all we truly have. It is in this moment that we make choices and take actions that are in alignment with who we are and what we want in life. As we begin 2024 may you allow yourself the opportunity to be present in this moment, to practice creating a more positive outlook and to become the balanced and better person you are meant to be. Be grounded, Be Well and Live your Best Life, everyday!

NUTRIENT DEFICIENCIES

FROM LONG-TERM PRESCRIPTION DRUG USE

I recently attended a conference as part of my continuing medical education. Dr. Christie Fleetwood, a naturopathic doctor and registered pharmacist, shared some eyeopening facts about the effects of prescription drugs on important nutrients in the body. I thought it would be helpful to you if I passed along some of that information. NOTE: This article is not intended to encourage you to stop your medications. My purpose is to make you aware of signs and symptoms that might occur because of nutritional deficiencies caused by long-term prescription drug use and to encourage you to talk with your doctor about it. The following are just a few prescription drug types that are some of the most commonly prescribed. Longterm use of these drugs can result in deficiencies in specific vitamins, nutrients, and other substances that are important to bodily functions and our health and wellbeing. Under each drug type I have listed a few of the likely deficiencies and their possible effects. OPIOIDS--PRIMARILY USED FOR TREATING PAIN

Long-term use of statins (often prescribed to control cholesterol) can also deplete the body of important substances like CoQ10 and vitamin D3. It can also inhibit the synthesis of vitamin K2, which plays an essential role in the metabolism of calcium and in heart health.

Related deficiencies and some of their possible signs and symptoms:

So how can you know if you have deficiencies that may have been caused by prescription drug use?

Folic acid: poor growth, GI tract disturbances Vitamin C: fatigue, aching bones/joints/muscles Iron: anemia, increased susceptibility to infection, hair loss Potassium: muscle weakness and cramps, mental confusion, abdominal bloating

First, if you are having certain signs and symptoms it might be helpful to do a bit of research to see if they are linked to particular nutritional deficiencies such as the ones above. You can then speak with your health provider about possibly testing for those specific vitamin and nutrient levels in your blood.

Benzodiazepines--primarily used for anxiety disorders, seizures, acute insomnia, and alcohol withdrawal

Another good option is to take a Cellular Nutrition Assay, which is a blood test that measures a wide range of micronutrients in the body and can zero in on which nutrients you are lacking, allowing your provider to recommend targeted nutritional supplements that will provide what your body needs. If the deficiencies are caused by long-term prescription drug use, supplementation could be a relatively easy and very effective way to offset the negative symptoms you’re experiencing.

• • • •

Melatonin: sleep disorders

STEROIDS--PRIMARILY USED TO REDUCE CERTAIN TYPES OF INFLAMMATION • • • • • •

Magnesium: muscle spasms, insomnia, sugar cravings, hypertension Potassium: muscle weakness, irritability Vitamin B6: depression, nausea, convulsions Vitamin B12: anemia, confusion, memory loss Chromium: glucose intolerance, elevated cholesterol and triglycerides Vitamin D: compromised bone health, increased sensitivity to pain

That is but a small sample of what can be learned at the library’s popular lecture series back for its seventh season. REAL ESTATE FOR YOU LORIBLANK BROKER/OWNER LORI BLANK & ASSOCIATES, LLC

An Arizona Retreat STAY, PLAY & RELAX

WHY MOST PEOPLE USE A REAL ESTATE AGENT OR BROKER TO BUY A PROPERTY One might wonder if the continued increase in accessing online information about properties for sale has removed the need for working with a qualified real estate agent or broker. It has not. The trends reported by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) are interesting. Buyers are finding a home to purchase by searching online in larger numbers than before. In the NAR survey of homebuyers, the home was found online by the buyer for more than half of the homes purchased, with only 28% of the homes purchased suggested to the buyer by a real estate agent. Even so, NAR also reports that 87% of buyers made their home purchase with the help of a real estate agent or broker. The explanation is surprising. One is the cost of buying a home that is for sale by owner (FSBO) may be very close to the price of the same type of home bought with the help of a real estate agent. An FSBO home sale may put a little more money in the pockets of the seller but little of that savings on the real estate commission goes to the buyer. Moreover, the FSBO process creates a disadvantage when trying to market a home without a real estate professional’s help. These trends are making FSBO properties decrease.

Additionally, using a real estate professional may help the transaction go more smoothly. A real estate agent handles the buying and selling of properties all the time. A homebuyer does this less often and therefore may not have the skills to manage a real estate transaction effectively. Summary When buying a home, it is the preference of the vast majority of buyers to work with a real estate professional. The process is likely to be easier with less chance of costly mistakes. The price paid for the home will prevent costly mistakes For sellers of a home, working with a professional real estate agent comes with advice about market pricing, how to stage a home for better resale value, and the benefits of using effective marketing strategies that get the home seen by more prospective buyers It becomes clear that working with a real estate agent is vastly preferable. This is why so many are using the services of a licensed professional to buy or sell a home.

The Superstition Mountain Museum’s free lecture series “Legends and Lore of the Superstitions and More,” is scheduled to begin on Thursday, January 4, 2024. The series brings together local scholars, personalities, historians, artists and authors to introduce attendees to the rich culture of our region. To enjoy the presentations fully, attendees are requested to: • Bring your own lawn chair; • Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen; • Please, no smoking; • Please don’t leave your dog in vehicle; • Coffee and cookies will be available for purchase with all of the proceeds going to the museum for continuing educational programs; • Come early and have lunch on the grounds. Food will be available for purchase. All Superstition Mountain Museum Programs and presentations are subject to change.

Lectures are held Thursday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. in the Museum’s outdoor amphitheater. The featured presenters and dates this year are: January 4 - Teton Ken | The Lost Dutchman and His Mine This year’s annual lecture about the Old Dutchman Jacob Waltz and his infamous gold mine will be presented by our own Dutchman “look-alike in residence,” Teton Ken. Learn just who Jacob Waltz was, where he came from, the facts regarding his life and death in Phoenix, and how the clues (and gold found under his bed) have kindled a flame of interest that has only grown over the years into a mother lode of history and mystery. Teton Ken knows his history. For many years, he has packed gold hunters, hikers and television crews into (and out of) the Superstition Mountains. He worked at Apacheland Movie Ranch and is an accomplished actor. January 11 - Randy Helm | Bureau of Land Management Wild Horse Adoption Program Randy Helm, a fourth generation Arizonan who has been training wild horses for more than 30 years, will discuss the United States Bureau of Land Management’s Wild Horse

The Apache Trail has been closed for the past four years because of a rockfall on the most scenic section of the road. The rockfall was the result of more than six inches of rain falling in one day after fire crews extinguished the Woodbury Wildfire, prompting concerns over soil stabilization and continued flooding. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) then closed the road indefinitely. In September of 2023, ADOT held a public meeting to propose repair options, but a timeline to begin repairs is still to come. Jodi Akers, a longtime resident and former Apache Trail business owner will provide details of the ongoing effort to reopen Apache Trail through to Roosevelt Lake. County officials, state representatives and grass roots community support and lots of money will be needed to save Apache Trail. January 25 - Jeff Grunow | 1997 Phoenix Light Phenomenon The widely reported unidentified flying objects observed in the skies over Arizona and Nevada on March 13, 1997 is the subject of Jeff Grunow’s lecture. Thousands of people saw the lights between 7:30 pm and 10:30 pm and some witnesses described seeing what appeared to be a huge carpenter’s square-shaped UFO containing five spherical lights. Were the lights aircraft participating in a pilot training program, illumination flares dropped by aircraft or what then Governor Fife Symington described as “otherworldly?” Jeff Grunow, a local aficionado of all things “unexplained” will look back on the incident and enlighten attendees with his observations. February 1 - Kurt Cavano | Arizona’s Four Peaks Amethyst Mine Many people do not realize that there is a working amethyst mine located in the Four Peaks region that can be seen from the museum. Mine owner Kurt Cavano will be sharing the history of this mine and his adventures while working it. Kurt is the owner of the Arizona Four Peaks Amethyst Mine. He has been a jewelry-making, stone-cutting rockhound for almost 50 years and has owned the mine for the last 15 years. For his presentation, Kurt will be bringing along rock samples and beautiful jewelry made with amethyst from his mine. For one day only, the jewelry will be sold at reduced prices (10% off). Wreaths Arriving

WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA REMEMBRANCE DAY By: Nancy Fassbender On Saturday, December 16, 2023, Wreaths Across America Remembrance Day was celebrated throughout our nation. There were 4212 locations and over 3 million wreaths were placed on the interred veterans’ graves. Wreaths Across America in Maine, start 52 days before this date and make our live wreaths. They put together over 90,000 wreaths a day!

Our large sponsors were Crescent Crown Distributing, Guild Mortgage Company, America First Credit Union, VFW Post 9399 and Auxiliary, Pima Indian Community, Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 2560, Hensley Beverage Co, and Mountain View Funeral Home. Starbucks and Bashas provided coffee and donuts.

Then volunteer over the road truckers volunteer their time and cabs to haul the wreaths across the nation. We had over 900 truckers volunteering this year.

Our team this year, consisted of Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 2560, VFW Post 7968 & Auxiliary, VFW Post 9399 & Auxiliary, Daughters of the American Revolution, POW East Valley Chapter and the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation.

This year, Mountain View Cemetery located at 7900 E. Main Street had 2,028 Veterans who are interred there. We were able to successfully honor every Veteran there.

I want to thank all the volunteers (there were about 600) who not only sponsored a wreath but came out to Mountain View Cemetery to honor our interred Veterans by placing a wreath on their grave.

For next year, Wreaths Across America has found a sponsor to match all wreaths sponsored for one month. The date is from December 16, 2023, through January 16, 2024. Please consider purchasing early during this period for us to make our Goal again.

The Mesa Fire and Medical pipe and drum troop escorted the AJ High School JROTC with the Colors. They also played Amazing Grace at the end of our ceremony. What a beautiful sound the pipes make!

Please either go to www. wreathsacrossamerica.org/az0190p or send your check to Nancy Fassbender 4657 S Desert Dawn Dr. Gold Canyon, AZ 85118. 22 | Superstition Living

A special thank you to Rev. Phil Erickson of VFW Post 7968 who blessed this event and the talented singer, Debra Kent, who did an exceptional job of singing the National Anthem. Rick Kreiberg, Veteran and founder of the Veterans Affinity was our keynote speaker.

Mesa Fire & Medical Pipe and Drum Troop

We had two AJ High School band students, Ailishe Murphy and Rodrigo Moreno perform TAPS by echoing each other. This year’s ceremony was dedicated to our youth. It is our mission not only to Remember and Honor all our Veterans but to Teach our youth what the cost of freedom is. We paid tribute to all the Veterans by presenting a wreath to each branch of service by our Active and retired Veterans who had a student so that they could teach our Youth why we do this. After we honored our interred Veterans by placing a wreath on their grave, Texas Roadhouse in Gilbert thanked all the volunteers by giving out BBQ sandwiches.

FINANCIAL FOCUS® MATTRUPPERT Now that we’ve reached 2024, you might be thinking about your goals and hopes for the new year. But in addition to whatever personal resolutions you might make — volunteering, going to the gym more, learning a new language and others — why not make some financial resolutions, too? Here are a few to consider: • Boost your retirement savings. If you can afford it, try to increase your contributions to your IRA and 401(k) or similar employer-sponsored retirement plan. The more you put away in these accounts, the greater your chances of reaching your retirement goals. At a minimum, contribute enough to your 401(k) to earn your employer’s match, if one is offered. And whenever your salary goes up, consider raising the amount you put in to your 401(k). • Reduce your debts. It’s not always easy to reduce your debts — but it’s worth the effort. The lower your debt load, the greater your monthly cash flow. So, look for ways to consolidate debts or find other, possibly more productive, ways of using credit. And if you truly can’t afford something that’s nonessential, don’t go into debt for it. “Live within your means” is an old piece of advice, but it’s just as valid now as ever. • Build an emergency fund. If you suddenly needed a major home or car repair, or received a large medical bill not fully covered by insurance, would you have the funds available? If not, you might be forced to dip into your retirement accounts or other long-term investments. To avoid this possibility, try to build an emergency fund containing several months’ worth of living expenses, with the money kept in a liquid, low-risk account that’s separate from the ones you use to meet your daily expenses. It can take a while to build such a fund, but if you make it a priority and contribute regular amounts each month, you can make good progress. • Avoid emotional decisions. Too many people overreact to events in the financial markets because they let their emotions get the better of them. If the market is temporarily down, it doesn’t mean you need to sell investments to “cut your losses” — especially if these investments still have good fundamentals and are still appropriate for your portfolio. It can be hard to ignore market volatility, but you’ll be better off if you focus on the long term and continue following an investment strategy that’s designed to meet your needs.

NEW YEAR'S FINANCIAL RESOLUTIONS • Review your goals. Over time, your goals may have changed. For example, while you once might have wanted to retire early, and planned for it, you may now find that you’d like to work a few more years. If that’s the case, you may also need to adjust your financial and investment strategies. • Revisit your estate plans. If you’ve married, divorced, remarried or added children to your family within the past few years, you may need to review the account titling and beneficiary designations on your 401(k) and other retirement assets, along with your estate-planning documents, such as your will or living trust. You might also need to revise these documents in other ways. Of course, you may not be able to tackle all these resolutions at one time, but if you can work at them throughout the year, you can potentially brighten your financial outlook in 2024 — and beyond.

THERE IS STILL TIME TO REGISTER FOR FEBRUARY LOST DUTCHMAN RACES Five non-profit events have locally donated more than $838,000 by Rick Hardina There is still time to register for one of the five 23rd annual Lost Dutchman running or walking events. The Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 8K Trail Run return to Apache Junction and Gold Canyon on Sunday, February 18th, with a 2 Mile Fun Run/ Walk scheduled to take place on Saturday morning, February 17th. Runners are welcome to participate in the 26.2 mile marathon, while walkers and runners may register for any of the shorter distances. As the number of full marathon runners is limited, there are currently fewer than 100 applications still available for the 26.2 mile event. The Lost Dutchman race events are non-profit, with all proceeds benefiting local youth groups and organizations. This years race organizers are hoping to surpass the total donation level of $838,000. The full 26.2-mile marathon starts at the Peralta Trailhead on Peralta Road, winds its way throughout Gold Canyon, then proceeds along scenic country roads to the finish line in Prospector Park in Apache Junction, while the shorter distance races originate from and return to Prospector Park in Apache Junction. All race registrants receive post-race refreshments and a long-sleeved Lost Dutchman T-shirt. In addition, all finishers in the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 8K Trail Run will receive a colorful high-quality finisher medal. The Lost Dutchman races have garnered hundreds of positive comments from throughout the United States and from several overseas countries. Many of those comments, along with numerous photos from past events are available on the race website. And those runners or walkers interested in participating in any of the events may register on that same Lost Dutchman Marathon website at: www. lostdutchmanmarathon.org. In addition, readers of Superstition Living Magazine may enter the code AJLDM1024 to receive a 10% discount off of any race distance ordered on our website. 24 | Superstition Living
