arre is the new buzzword in fitness. A great way to get fit and stay in shape, Barre is based on the strength and conditioning component of ballet dancers’ training. The workout also helps strengthen and tone your muscles without increasing bulk all while improving posture. However, be warned, while Barre is described as ‘low impact’ it does not mean it’s ‘easy’. Each element of the workout is carefully choreographed to target and isolate specific muscle groups and will have you feeling the burn in no time - in a good way! Clare Fisher, owner of Surrey-based Ballero, believes the 40 plus age group are consistently underserved and under prioritised in terms of the health and wellness industry and that Barre can considerably help.
