Chestnut Tree Hospice needs volunteers

At Chestnut Tree House (CTH), volunteers are at the heart of their hospice community. They have roles available throughout the organisation, from retail and fundraising to event hosts and play volunteers.

No matter what your skills, experience and interests, there will be an opportunity for you to make a real difference. The main quality they look for in our volunteers is that they reflect CTH valuesthey must feel passionate about the cause, they must reflect our caring ethos, they must be reliable and honest.

New homes for Eastergate

Housebuilder Miller Homes Southern has been given planning permission to build 67 homes at its newest development, The Paddock, in Eastergate. The six-acre site will deliver a selection of one, two, three and four bedroom energyefficient homes. Out of the 67 new homes, 30% will be affordable housing, providing a mix of rented, shared ownership and First Homes. The new neighbourhood is the first in the region that will deliver properties to buy under the First Homes scheme, the Government’s new scheme to offer discounted home ownership for first time buyers. www.millerhomes.co.uk Chichester builders merchant creates woodland

As part of Covers Timber and Builders Merchants’ 175th anniversary celebrations, and the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative, the builders merchant planted 175 beech trees at Selhurst Park near Chichester in November.
