Boosting the good bacteria in your body

There are many benefits of taking probiotics. They boost the good bacteria in your gut to help digestion as well as boost your immune system. There are many different good bacteria including acidophilus, lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium all sold within different brands. The thing to look for would be to take a coated capsule rather than a sugary drink. Sugar feeds the bad bacteria in the gut and as a liquid, the bodies natural immune system kills off a lot of the good bacteria before it reaches the part of the body it needs to. You should take at least 8 billion live multi strain bacteria per day. The most recommended one contains at least 14 different strains of probiotics and contain at least 8 billion per capsule.

If you’re taking antibiotics, you should be wary of taking probiotics as one may cancel out the other depending on which ones you’re taking. After taking antibiotics it is always a good idea to take some good bacteria to replenish the good flora in your gut a few days after finishing the course.

Probiotics may help reduce wind and bloating as they help the digestion process.

Candida is a yeast infection commonly found in the gut. It can affect the skin and digestion and is treatable with the right diet and supplements.
