Enclaved Entities

WATER as an isolating element

Moveable pods of reflective, ideative to productive activity.

Being suspended as islands in water, the visitor is allowed to experience a sort of rebirth/ awakening as they move through the project.

CONFLICT TO SETTLEMENT

Exploring enclavement, by defining terriotrial boundaries through water bodies.

The functions are introduced in splashes between water and the built and unbuilt.

Exploring how the proximities and disruption of landforms could impact the spatial experience of a function :

- for functions such as the experiment test labs, that require ultimate isolation; could having these spaces underwater offer maximum isolation and privacy for high profile projects?

- similarly, refelective activities that require an ideally serene and peaceful atmosphere for healing - how does the experince change if these are placed high above the water, in contrast to an underground setting?

Inspired by Cedric Price’s Fun Palace, this iteration explores pre-fabricated elements that can be re-positioned and adapted on the supporting scaffolding, based on the timing ans purpose.

Simultaneously employing the vertical gradient - disruption between the UNDERGROUND, GROUND and ABOVE GROUND, and the experiences they offer.

Reflective Functions

IDEATIVE FUNCTIONS

PRODUCTIVE FUNCTIONS

Exhibition Spaces

Underground spaces for reflective functions to take the visitors on an initial sense of mental cleanse.

The luxury of being underground or underwater lies in the ability to control the spatial experience of the space completely, and maintain it without any external conflict.

Interactive Zones

Displays at the exhibition space to be interactive - the visitors can experience the projects through close interacion; touch, feel, listen
