Gill: Ros, tell us about Fordington Gin and its success.

Ros: Fordington Gin is a fast-growing business and it all began at home on the kitchen table. We have won Gold at Taste of the West, Gold at the International Women’s Wine & Spirits Awards, Silver at the World Gin Awards and been shortlisted by Great British Foods. Now a premium Dorset gin, Fordington is sold in over 70 artisan and independent retailers in Dorset.

Ros: What I’m looking for in the Independent Food and/or Drink Award winner will be first and foremost excellent customer service, selling good local produce, promoting local, being as eco as they can and with a very well-presented shop.

Gill: Tell us about your plans for the next five years.

Ros: The next five years? Stay in business! Continue to do well, support local, become a well-known, respected and established Dorset brand, expanding all the time, and still in love with what I do.
