Kathy Quesnel Rivera graduated Madison athy College with a BS in art education in 1971. She 1 year and left teaching for the business i ve ra taught world. Through the mid-’70s, she restored oil

paintings and cleaned antique prints in a little shop in Staunton, VA. In 1979 she purchased a frame shop in Bon Air, VA. In 1985 she bought a gift shop named Accents Unlimited. She incorporated that year and ran the shop for 32 years, moving it 5 times before finally retiring. In 2013 she took watercolor classes at the Virginia Art Museum with Dawn Flentes. In 2014 she studied watercolor with nationally known Susan Stuller in Richmond, VA. In 2015 she was in a bad car accident and spent 4 months in body braces and 7 months Watering Hole, oil on canvas of physical therapy. During that time she continued her study with Sue Stuller but switched to acrylic and began painting dog portraits for her shop clients. In 2016 she walked into Crossroads Art Center one Sunday and found Chuck Larivey doing a painting demonstration. He spent 3 months doing demos every Sunday and Kathy was there for them every week. The oil bug had bitten her. She began talking to Chuck about teaching and eventually convinced him to give it a try. June 2016 began her transition to oil painting and she never looked back. Kathy built a studio in her home where she teaches beginner and intermediate painting. The beginning of 2017 found her retiring and closing her shop to paint with Chuck and become a daily painter. See more of her work at kathyriverafineart.com.

From the Artistic Director I was a huge Abbott and Costello fan when I was a kid, and a highlight of several of their films was the appearance of The Andrews Sisters, with their signature harmonies and unique choreography. “Aurora” in Hold That Ghost, and “Boogie-Woogie Bugle Boy” in Buck Privates were standouts for me. Roger Bean’s twist on the Andrews Sisters has been great fun for us to rehearse and to perform – turning all those great “girl” harmonies into “boy” harmonies, and mixing it up with some great slapstick was a blast! Thanks to my terrific cast and musical team for all of their hard work in bringing these ‘40s swing tunes to delightful life on the Mill stage. Enjoy!

All attendees of Swift Creek Mill Theatre are subject to its Admissions Policies. Please see swiftcreekmill.com/admissions-policies or request a copy in the theatre office. 17

Georgia also writes and stars in her one-woman cabarets, including Horns and Corns, Lies My Martini Told Me, The Real Housewife of Chesterfield County, among many others. Georgia would like to especially dedicate this performance to her beloved father, George, who was in WWII on the USS Missouri in 1945 and witnessed the signing of the peace treaty. Her side gig is making custom bow ties for her company HalfWhistle. www. georgiarogersfarmer.com. PJ LLEWELLYN (MAX), an HVAC technician by day/performer by night, is gleefully bounding through his first production at Swift Creek Mill! His most recent appearance in town was this past summer at Dogwood Dell as Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie. He would like to thank his dog Sheila for all her support. Thanks all for supporting live theatre. Love you, mean it. IAN PAGE (LAWRENCE) is once again thrilled to be back at The Mill with this wonderful cast.
