The People’s Playhouse for Over 45 Years
2011-2012 Activities Summary
A
t The Mill, we pride ourselves on offering the best live theatre possible, in a building unlike any other. But we are more than a building. We are artistic theatre professionals, active board members, diligent staff, caring volunteers and, of course, a passionate audience. We are history and culture. Together we create a special place you feel good about taking your family. We foster the romantic moments couples share by candlelight. We are the stage that showcases the imagination and creativity from our talented community. We are theatre for everyone, regardless of situation or status. We are YOUR theatre, and without you, what we do would not be possible.

We Want You. Really!
Swift Creek Mill Theatre is Southside Virginia’s oldest professional theatre, yet we are working to find new ways to serve local families. Our community demands that we continually approach theatre arts with respect to cultural relevance. Our mission, therefore, includes educating children in fun and theatrical ways and sharing our passion for theatre through shows that touch lives, whether that means creating awareness or simply lifting spirits. We can only continue this work with involvement and feedback from folks like you. Only through substantial financial and in-kind gifts from our neighbors, as well as committed volunteers, can we continue to make great things happen. We strive to make you proud to call The Mill your theatre. We have some big things on the horizon... won’t you be part of them? There are many ways to get involved: • Attend with your coworkers or social group • Advertise your business in the playbill • Make a one-time donation or monthly pledge • Volunteer • Sponsor a show • Recommend The Mill to a friend or your child’s teacher Whether you already know what role you would like to play, pun intended, or simply want more information about The Mill, find out how you can get involved by contacting Jennifer Procise at 804-748-5203 or jprocise@swiftcreekmill.com.
