I Love a Piano ◊ The Music of Irving Berlin This wonderful show celebrates the music and lyrics of one of America’s greatest and most prolific writers. It follows the journey of a piano as it moves in and out of American lives from the turn of the century to the present. Along the way, the story comes to vibrant life with over 60 of Irving Berlin’s most beloved songs, including classics such as “Blue Skies”, “There’s No Business Like Show Business”, “Puttin’ On The Ritz”, “Cheek to Cheek”, “Always”, “How Deep Is The Ocean”, “Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better”, “God Bless America”, and, of course, “I Love A Piano”. Alternately heartbreaking and hilarious, rousing and reflective, this show is a fitting tribute to the man Jerome Kern famously said had “no place in American music – he is American music.”

When CBS requests them for a “History of Comedy” retrospective, a grudging reunion brings Al and Willie back together, along with a flood of memories, miseries, and laughs. “Another hit for Simon in a shrewdly balanced, splendid and rather touching slice of the show-biz life.” A masterful comedy by the master of comedy himself! About The Featured Artists Program Swift Creek Mill is an historical venue housing Swift Creek Mill Theatre. The exhibition space is The Mill Room - the main dining area. Literally thousands of patrons attend each theatrical production, and they all enter the theatre by way of The Mill Room, equating to excellent exposure for visual artwork. In addition to the exhibition, Featured Artists benefit from distribution of their biographical and/or contact information in person, in the theatre playbill, and online at www.swiftcreekmill.com. An opening reception is held the night of Invitational Dress Rehearsal, and the Featured Artist(s) for that production are welcome to invite friends and family to enjoy the artwork and the performance after. There is no commission removed from sales. There is a 10% referral when patrons purchase work due to the exhibition. This is an honor system-based fee that enables the exhibitions to continue. As a non-profit organization, Swift Creek Mill Theatre strives to encourage the perpetuation of culture and the Arts in surrounding communities, and, while hosting art shows promotes the Featured Artist(s), viewing the artwork is a valuable experience for community members who come the to The Mill.
