Dedicated to the daring spirit within us all.
I believe the most important single thing, beyond discipline and creativity is daring to dare. Maya Angelou
How I
dare
Something extraordinary happens when you stretch beyond your comfort zone. The world opens up to a whole new perspective. Things you didn’t think possible, become hobbies. Experiences once feared, become passions. Desires long forgotten, become rekindled. Discover a world of limitless possibility when you unleash the courage to dare a little.
Use this journal to record exhilarating experiences that awaken your power to live boldly. Take a journey
inside to uncover all that you dare. Capture your imagination, dreams, goals and observations. Walk the Great Wall of China. Write that book. Learn another language. Circumnavigate Sicily. Master white water rafting. Explore your full potential. Dedicate at least an hour a day to yourself. Think BIG, take BIG leaps and reap BIG rewards. Go on...I dare you!
How To Use Your Journal In the often chaotic blend of daily life it’s easy to get hijacked by day-to-day chores. Much time is spent juggling many balls, and the exciting dreams of youth become lost. When was the last time you embarked on a daring adventure? No matter where you are in life, there’s plenty more to explore, experience and enjoy. This journal is designed to help you reach higher and wider, while having fun doing it. dare to spend the next 12 weeks living as widely as your imagination will take you...then reaching a little further. Each week, capture three new things you dare to achieve. You might jump straight in and go sky diving
or learn to surf. Or, you might decide to ease into your daring new life by making a long overdue call. Make time for yourself. Find stillness and reflect on all those dreams, adventures and possibilities that once filled your childhood mind.
Consider how you feel before commencing each dare. Are you excited, anxious, afraid, energized,
uncertain or invigorated? Connect with the feelings deep within, and make a note of them in your journal. As your week unfolds, use your journal to jot down your insights, ideas and plans for the future. An
amazing thing happens when you dare; your
creative mind taps into long forgotten thoughts as new inspirations spring forth. You may find yourself drawing, cutting and pasting images, scribbling or writing ideas at various angles. Use the lines or the blank pages to give free rein to your creative thinking. At the conclusion of each week, consider how you feel
now you’ve completed each dare. Ponder whether
you’ll make them permanent components of your life or perhaps you’ve ticked off an adventure and will make space for another. Your journal is a private world where you can freely express your imagination, visions, revelations, originality, finesse, flair and eureka moments. If there are moments throughout your journey that you’d like to share with others in the dare
community, we invite you to do so by visiting www.DareOutLoud.com DareOnlineMagazine.
