PROGRAM NOTES
The title pretty much says it all. Partytime! was originally a short closer written for the 1995 Bear Creek High School indoor drumline show titled “The Edge.” Since then, I’ve lengthened it and filled out the instrumentation, and it eventually became this version for concert percussion ensemble. The title is pretty self-explanatory. If the music doesn’t conjure up visions of some kind of celebration, you’ve been going to the wrong parties!
